Found this a while back when I couldn't get EQ2 to work right on my quad core, it helped alot and continues to be of help, don't know if this will do any good for getting DA:O to run right but MAYBE it might help someone. It's not as helpful for people with 6-8+ gig of memory but it makes most games more stable for people with lots of ram, it's free, give it a try if you don't like it delete it

I have a little problem when I play this game.... at times I can play on end for hours and everything runs smoothly on my PC and looks great. Sometimes in the fight scenes the game will crash and If I didnt save the game just before the fight.... Then I'm screwed/ so Ive got this habit to save all the time. Maybe there is something I can Download to prevent this... Or do I have to buy something?

um i just bought the game and now when i try to play a po up comes up and says "no support video card found". What does this mean?

I have patch 1.01b, and I can't figure out how to install the Blood Dragon Armor and the Stone Prisoner addons. They downloaded, but..help?

Problem:
When choosing party members, several characters are unselectable.
Taller characters in the background are un selectable but shorter characters in the foreground are.
This means that my party always consists of Mage, cleric, Dog and me.

i played about 30% of the game with out any problems.  then i down loaded the patch and the 3 other expantions (shale, the armor, and the keep).   now i cant go a few minuts with out the game freezing on me.    the only thing i did to my computer was down load the extra content.    i played alot of hours with out a glitch and my system is well above average.   i didnt have a problem until i  downloaded extra content. i have an asus motherboard and all navidia drivers. and yes there all up to date, and the direct x is up to date. and no my memory catch isnt full.   and yes i started a new game when i downloaded the extras. please get a new patch so i can play this game.

so i did a restore then reloaded the game and now theres no extra content for me to download. the keys only work once and i already payed for the keep, same acount.

about the in-game points..are they good for anything or theyre just there to make your game pretty?

if any1 has the same problem as me (crashing during talking) here is a tip: if you skip convesation it will stop crashing at that point.

So this is probably some minor technical thing i am missing but i installed a standard copy of dragon age, and then decided i wanted the digital deluxe edition, so i upgraded to that but since i already had the regular edition installed it just updated my game. It didn't seem to change anything so i figured it had to do with entering the new CD key i got for the deluxe edition, but if i try to re-install the game it doesn't ask me for a CD key since i've already installed and entered the standard one already, Thanks in advance for any ideas anyone might have.

I've bought and download the game and it installed on the computer it was downloaded to, but how can I move it to my other computer were I want to play it without having to download the entire game again?

Installed the game. Played fine until I got to the part where I open the inventory for the first time. The game freezes, and I Ctrl Alt Del out. Now when I start the .exe and hit "play" nothing happens.

RJared, Try finding the directory where you downloaded it to and burn a dual layer dvd, (I ordered the Digital Deluxe Edition from Direct 2 Drive) and burned my own copy and it worked just fine after i reinstalled Win 7 trying to fix the lag bug on a fresh install...didn't help 1 bit, but the game did install perfectly off my burned copy.

Also for the people having crashing issues, try that IOBit Game Booster (especially if u have less than 4GB ram)
not guarunteeing it will help u, but its 1mb download, free and if u don't like it just uninstall it, there is no spyware in it that I've been able to find, I've ran it through Mcafee at my dads, Norton here, spybot s&d, ad-aware pro, and trendmirco pc cillin and housecall. All report it a clean file. If you do try it and it helps you make sure to come back and tell us so others will know too please, thanks.

Edit: Also I know this has been said 10k times but it bears repeating......Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card, and other devices, and make sure your windows is up to date.

I have completely given up on receiving on any of the content that was supposed to come for signing up on everything, and buying and registering the game early. 

I have received nothing, nada, zip.  In game items: like the armor and the Edge?  Nope.  Bonus adventure?  Nope, extra character?  Nope.  (I have the collector's edition.)  The game logs in obviously because it tracks my progress, achievements, and characters here. 

I have searched and posted here on dragonage.com, on ea.com and have yet to receive a response from customer service from any site.

I want to know when the hell Bioware is going to fix it bloody buying points system. I have sent a query in about it but no answer. From what i have read its the same all over. It rejects you and no matter how many cards you try or if you try paypal you still cannot buy any points????? i mean WTF i am trying to spend money and you are rejecting me cause you are not able to verify a card cause its billing address does not match??? i have read just about every post on this subject and it still has not helped me. Everyone is coming up with the same problem and it looks like nothing is being done about it!!!!!

I'm having a graphical issue in-game. When I move my camera around I can see the lines that make up the individual blocks of texture for the ground. The problem is not stopping me from playing but it is an eyesore. I have tried changing the graphics in the video settings of DAO to no avail. I am using an ATI Radeon X1650 series. I have also tried changing my graphics setting for my card using ATI's Catalyst Control Center application. Furthermore I have download the lates drivers for my card. Please provide me with some suggestion as to what might be causing the problem. EDIT: I've just noticed that the glitch is only present in the outdoors. When I am inside a dungeon everything looks normal.

Chris, whoever, it doesn't work, and EA are destroying bioware with this. How many people are involved in supporting this product, and what do they do all day? They certainly don't deal with customers.

I would like to know if is there a way to fix the physxcore.dll crash. I am having that in a part of the game. It starts to load the level and after that I get this error and return to the desktop.



My graphics card is Ati 4850 and the drivers are Ati 9.11. Cpu is amd Athlon X2 4200+ with 3gb ddr ram.

I've been waiting six days after emailing support withou any kind of repl (lt alone actual help). What is going on?



On starting disk:



autorun.exe > "error: line 1, column 40 in inter XML settings" > close

setup.exe > "dragon age origins installer has stopped working" > close



No help from this forum or via official EA or Bioware support.

Your not missing much with the DLC items. Yes it sucks you cant get them, but you will find better items in no time while playing the game.
