And windows 7

Got all the uppdates from the producers still game wont work

Hi forum!

Im having some problems with my mage, his sustained spells wont deactivate, i've tried doing
things that would deactivate them like dying or going to party camp, nothing. They dont even show up on the
affecting tab above the quickbar i still get the bonuses tho.
However i reaaally kinda wanna be able to deactivate.
Anyone know what to do?

Ok this most likely has bean brought up before but it really is pissing me off. And I have looked at other forums. They all have similar issues with no fix but REINSTALL. I thought that was just Microsoft's solution to everything.



Ok here is the problem. When ever I get to the part where the dwarf dude is suppose to join me, he does not appear and wont join. In cut scenes I can hear his voice but its as if he never visually existed. It is not the patch and it is not the toolset because I first encountered this before both. I have tried reinstalling but that does not seem to help. I am not a moron when it comes to this stuff and everything runs fine until that part.



I played both nwn1 and 2. They never had this severe of an error or bug. If they did, you could use debug mode to fix it. Its not like this is some side quest I can just by-pass because I have tried to by-bass this and it breaks the game.



If anyone has some advice that they can give me, please do. I really like the story but its just ridiculous that I can not progress because of this.

Hello Guys,
i dont know if it belongs here, or in the DLC thread, but..i´ve deinstalled, and reinstalled the Game due to the Shale Glitch.
Anyway, i checked my Documents, Dragon Age Origins, AddIns Folder...and when i installed the Game for the first time, there was a "AddIns.xml" Data...now its gone


EDIT: Nevermind, wrong file direction xD
Forgot it was in the Settings

Can anyone tell me why Shale turned into ball of wtf? It just happened when I loaded into DA, he wasn't like that yesterday.

Back in the day, when BG2 was released in, what, 2001? I was on a third party website where the Doctors, Greg & Ray, were online helping out gamers with problems. A couple of years later I got an personal email about a BG2 tech question from a friendly guy called Dave Gaider.



Time's moved on, Bioware is in the Stratosphere and I have realistic expectations. Especially from EA. But maybe some of the Bioware folks might want to remember the service that has taken Bio to where it is today.

I had an account on the Black Isle forums in the '98 to '02 period, before there were any Bioware forums.  I think that I used "Grouch" or "Grumpy" or some such handle then.  I had only a dialup (what else) with Flash Net, and when that outfit went under (Prodigy bought them, and doubled the fees), I was off the 'net awhile, until another bargain dialup appeared. 

But I don't recall running across the Bioware founders anywhere.  Anyhow, I blame EA for this.  It definitely appears to me that the need to cut away at the basic game in order to have added cost content is more likely an EA money- grubbers' scheme, and waiting until practically the last minute to do it is more EA.  The announced release for the PC version had been in April, 2009.  I really believe that betwwn then and 11-03, great chunks of what we would've had as one game campaign were carved away, and then the "Social Web Site" became the hugely buggy way to sell us back what we would have had as part of the original purchase, last April.

^ It was the _BG Dungeon_ website, which was pretty huge back then (if anyone else remembers it). Either that or I'm getting old and forgetting people cut and pasting Greg and Ray's comments onto it. I was on the Black Isle forums 1999 onwards (hi!) and they weren't there.

Talking about DLC, what would EA have made of Dave Gaider's free BG2- ToB modding saga? Which was, it has to be said, pretty cool.

Ok, I uninstalled game and reinstalled including DLC, same still happening, Shale turned into a graphical blob. Can't zone to new areas from any save. The most frustrating part is I can't start a new game, it tells me " Unable to load module" WTF! I am logged in and using no addons or outside mods. Any help would be appreciated, links to other simular problems/fixes amoung the forums ETC.

I installed the game on Saturday (28/11)
I can connect to any forum thru Firefow and HTML, without any problem with my email and my password (just like I do right now)
but if I try to login thru game, I am
1/ asked mail and password, I give them,
2/ I see a message 'connecting ot server' then a page with some text,
3/ but after that I always got a PASSWORD ERROR (not the exact message, but this meaning)

I sent a mail but did not get any answer.
What can I do please ? (I'm working in computers, then I tried different things, like copy/past from firefox, copy into notebook and copy/past, type name+password on first zone and cut password to copy on second zone.

I would really appreciate some help please.

BTW : if I give a wrong email the "conecting to server" message and the page does not come...

I bought the game the day it came out and loved it for about two weeks, but lately everything has fallen apart to the point where I am ready to give up altogher.  I have Windows Vista Service Pack 2, Intel Core Duo CPU E6550 With 2 MB Ram, 32 bit with NVidia GeForce 8600 GT.

I have dowloaded the latest patches as well as video driver updates and my mage can't make it out of the fade at the very beginning without crashing every time I talk to Mouse.  I even restarted the game completely thinking that may have some effect but to no avail.  I don't understand why it worked so well for two weeks now runs horribly.  Any help with the constant freezing/crashing would be greatly appreciated.

This is an online game maybe some of the problems that we are having is some type of attack on the game. Just enough to tick us off. Really I am having problems myself some times the game will run for hours then crashs the whole computer. Other times it only runs for minutes or seconds. If I go back to an earlier save It sometimes works again for a while. It is as if the problem has something to do with the way the game saves. Any way I've heard there are more problems with ATI video hardware and that is me. 2 3870's in crossfire. I refuse to switch video cards for one game, not one other game I play crash's with my setup. Crysis, WOW, Far Cry and many others. I guess I will not play again until a patch comes out that fix's these issues.

I run dragon age on a budget laptop. I can run it with AA and frame buffer effect turned off but still not so well. Im hovering around 20 fps. I am wondering if i can turn off shadows without toning down other setting such as the view distance. Setting the graphics settings to low DOES turn off shadows, but also a whole bunch of other options i want to keep maxed. Any ideas how this can be accomplished? the DragonAge.ini file has the setting EnableShadows=1, but changing that to 0 will not work.

Seems most of the problems listed is from the toolset, so either uninstall the toolset like I did or delete singlepalyer folder in your \\\\mydocuments\\\\bioware. Maybe they'll have the tooset bug free soon so we can enjoy custume made campaigns.

I have 4 tickets open, the oldest opened on 11/29.  No response at all.

One of them is that I cannot use my home computer (the same computer that DAO is installed on) to access these web pages.  MSIE is not supported (for me).  Every time I log in, I am immediately logged out.  (And anything prior to 8 is so horribly mangled as far as how it looks, the forums are almost unusuable for me.)

Am I blind or is there really no topic for posting all the game bugs that have been found so far and listing them in the first post ??





(I think this would be helpful for all of us --> for Bioware it would be a lot esier to keep tracking those bugs in their great game...)

i raisterd game but cant get any DLC, just as it i didnt rgister.
but game still show in My Games, it wasent there until i rgesterd.
whats up with that?
