I seem to have trouble accessing my downloadable content. I'm 100% sure to have been logged on when I redeemed my code, and I've refreshed it multiple times, but the armor doesn't appear in the content. Also: The content unlocked in Dragon Age Journeys isn't there either. Could there be some kind of delay to the availability after redemption, or is something else wrong?

When anything seems very clock-oriented, I always want to look at background processes, because it will be one of those doing worse than merely stealing focus.  Various AV programs are the worst of all about it, but so are eMail and IM programs.   Figure out which background process recently updated, and you'll have identified your culprit.

Is the actual game crashing? Or is it the link to your content and NOT the game? I had some issues with my online profile timing out, but that was yesterday morning and hasn't happened since. But as far as the game it self goes, it has Never crashed since I installed it on Nov 3rd! Which is pretty remarkable now a days..........

Another post suggests this is an issue with AVG v.9, which does not occur with AVH v.8.5. and yet another said this constant crashing to desktop can be fixed by setting the affinity of the CPU on dual core systems to 1(Details of that below)
Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Windows Task Manager 
Click on the Processes tab
Click on the Show processes from all users button, at the bottom
Click the Continue button for UAC prompt
Right click the process (application) whose processor affinity you want to change
Click Set Affinity
Check the CPU(s) that you want the process (application) to run on and click OK

I've set the CPU to 1 and am going to test that now.
I've had AVG v.9 since the game was installed and it's always been running, so don't know if that should be the problem and really don't want to turn off my AV just to play the game!
Would this be a huge security risk? Would the windows firewall be enough for protecting just to play?

The game crashed yesterday at 24 and 56 minutes past the hour for the whole day.

Also do you have to set the CPU every time you load the game or does the system remember once you have set it the 1st time?

AVG 9 has a bug where it will close apps to desktop every 30min or so. This seems to happen if you update from 8.5. The fix (for me & others) is to remove AVG 9 then do a clean install.

PS: I used the free full install download (70somthing megs) not the web install, dont have the link sorry.

PPS: The game is not crashing just collapses to desktop(so will trying to play movies or any other game), this is a AVG nag telling you to update from 8.5 but without any message because you already have update.

Since you have chosen to provide no useful information, no one is able to even take a guesss.

Preliminary diagnostic information

PCs are not *anything* at all like game console systems.  There is almost nothing that is truly "standard" between various branded PCs, making the game developers' jobs very difficult, and resulting in warning labels attached to game boxes for those games that have serious requirements. 

In case you have misunderstood how to evaluate your PC compared to that game box label, we have to start from here.  Fill it all in.

I used the codes from the retail version of the game

any ideas.

it's stone prisoner that I've dowloaded, but now the game says it unauthorised. 

The CD Key is displayed in my configuation utility.

After creating the character the game seems to start.  I can hear sounds, and see the gold mouse arrow, but the rest of the screen is completely dark.  I'm running version 1.01b.

In searching the posts and FAQ's I didn't see anything addressing this.  If it was already addressed please let me know.

Apprently every background choice will work except human noble.

The other strange thing which may or may not be related is that in every cut scene the voice over seems to be turned off.  I can hear music and everything else, but none of the words.  When in combat my character will audibly say the little quips that characters normally do.

I already have the xbox version, but really wanted to experience the play on the PC.  I would rather not have to return the game.

Is there anyone that can please help?  If this is somehow in the wrong area, pleas be kind enough to direct me to the correct place to post my problems.

I can hear the game working (i.e. when I hit the "ESC" key, I can move my mouse and hear the options click.) and I can see my mouse cursor, but none of the rest of my graphics are displaying.

I'm having the same problems.  i'm going to try the quick save now.  Did you ever get your problem solved?  Please share the fix if you got it.

Pelles,  no one can offer any kind of answer to that type question without a great deal more information. In case you have misunderstood how to evaluate your PC compared to the game box warning label, we have to start from here. Fill it all in.

Hi guys just thought I ought to deliver a cautionary note. I have recently solved my Dragon Age crashing problems by using the suggestion to turn off Catalyst Ai and disable the ATI Audio device. The game worked great and I could play for hours with no problems.

However, on Saturday I installed the Dirt2 Demo. Dirt2 is a great game but it kept crashing on me and I got graphical corruption. I eventually decided that Dirt2 was not for me and uninstalled it and all the programs that came with it. Since then Dragon Age became unstable and would crash every few minutes. Nothing I tried would fix it and I eventually reverted to a previous backup after which everything worked fine again.

The moral of the story is that you should double check Dragon age after you install other programs. I have no idea why that happened.

Hi,

My problem is that after playing the game for long hours, the loading times seems to increase as well. Loading a simple area (like the party camp/) can take a few minutes. I would generally quit to desktop and run the game again to have it load quickly. Any ideas?
