Where to Find *Official* Dragon Age: Origins PC Game support

My problem started tonight while at the start of Orzammar, just completed the small quest of giving some dwarf the nug, turned around to head back upstairs and BAM! Game crashed. This happened twice, went back into the game and it crashed again just after I entered the area.
I really haven't had issues except for the lagging but now, major crash. How can I complete this part of the game if it keeps crashing?
I have no idea how to turn off my Anatialasing setting in vista.
My system specs are as follows:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200
4 gigs of DDR 2 memory
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT (driver version- 7.15.11.7500)
High Definition Audio Device
Running Vista 32 bit
Can anyone help me?

Ok seriously does anyone know how to fix this? Dragon Age keeps crashing and/or blue screening my computer. So far, I've had 6 blue sods.
Please, someone help. I can't play anymore, it just crashes so much, I fear that my comp might decide to fry itself. And yes, I checked and it's not just on my computer, my mates have the same problems too.
PCs are not *anything* at all like game console systems. There is almost nothing that is truly "standard" between various branded PCs, making the game developers' jobs very difficult, and requiring that warning labels be attached to game boxes for those games that have serious requirements.
In case you have misunderstood how to evaluate your PC compared to that game box label, we have to start from here. Fill it all in.
Processor Name / Type: Athlon 64 x2 Dual
Processor Speed: 3Ghz (or 6000+ I guess)
Operating System / Service Pack: WindowsXP with SP3
System RAM:3 GBs
Video (GPU) Manufacturer: ATI
Video Card Model: Radeon HD 4850
Video Card Driver Version: Catalyst 2009.0702.1239.20840
Video Card onboard RAM: 512 MBs
Sound Card Manufacturer: Intel
Sound Card Model: AC97
It's your average gaming rig and I apologize for the late response. It's above the recommended.
It runs everything fine, and only dragon age seems to crash a lot. The crashes are completely random. Sometimes I can play for hours without a crash and sometime it crashes twenty minutes in the game.

From the specs of your pc you should be ok to run the game. The only thing I can see that is a bit low is the sound card but it should be ok.
Right a few things you need to look out how much free space do you have on your hard disk? In space and in % terms if you have less than 35% free then that can be why your crashing. Sound silly I know but when a hard disk start to drop below 35% free space it takes longer and longer to read data of it also the more free space you have the disk the better I got 100 gig free on my rig. If the game is fighting to free space on the hard disk yep could crash it.
Next dedust your pc it could just that is over heating a bit. Also what PSU do you have in your rig the higher the better with new gaming card you need at lest 600W this game is a power hog if the video cannot get the power it needs to run then it will full over. This game is a cutting edge game and will push your and my rig to the limet.
Next drivers have you all the latest driver for you pc system board and cup patch the lot. Defrag your pc and run a full AV scan on it.
Have you got wardens keep install? The game is slower on my rig this it installed.
Last run with no other programs running but firewall and AV no xfire and no msn or the like. Not demon tools or webcam or video grabbing software. Does this help?

I know it's a cutting edge game, but all other games run fine, no problems.
And yeah, I was thinking about a defrag. Gonna run it now.
Oh and it isn't overheating either, the temperature is around 43-52 oC and that (according to my drivers) is fine.
Edit: Whoa whoa whoa, I have so much crap the uninstaler didn't detect.... and I had 10Gigs free..... thanks for reminding me

The way to find out is to compare your PC with the game's requirements:
Windows XP Minimum Specifications
OS: Windows XP with SP3
CPU: Intel Core 2 Single (or equivalent) running at 1.6Ghz or greater
AMD 64 (or equivalent) running at 2.0Ghz or greater
RAM: 1 GB or more
Video: ATI Radeon X850 256MB or greater (either this is wrong)
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT 128MB or greater (or this one is wrong)
DVD ROM (Physical copy)
20 GB HD space
(Note: IMO, the two cards above should be the Radeon X800 Pro, and the Geforce 6800 Vanilla)

During my first play through the game I unlocked several specializations (with my first and then only character of course)
after finishing the game I made another character and when it reached level 7 I noticed that all specializations I unlocked with my first character are available on my second character.
I would like to confirm if this is a bug (I cannot image why it would be programed like that otherwise) and if this is a bug as I fear, is it posible for me to "fix" it ?

Hay pr0phet589 I think I got it then I run the game from day one with a crash I played to the end of the game fine as well. Now I got the Warden’s keep and it crashed 3 times is a row after about 10 minuets. So I uninstalled Wardens keep and so far it not crash again today. So it looking like that down load it bugged and crashing the game if it installed. I was trying to kill the high dragon with just the normal NPC as well.

Kinda defeats the object of character building, which for me, is one of the best things about the game... So I understand this guy's query.

are you sure ?
ppl that have been testing this game must have really hated to have to rediscover specializations...
May I ask you how do you know ?
I would like to perfectly erase every doubt about that from my mind...
P.S. If this was a bug I would have liked to fix it because I do not want to abuse a bug !!! but if it isn't...

Well, I think it's useful. You can get specs like Reaver and Blood Mage without having to be evil.ofer4 wrote...

I, finally, got my DLC yesterday, BUT I am unable to load the save game today. The game insists that I have to be logged in (as the owner) and I was!!!

You will have to handle your end a great deal more efficiently than that. Today has been a fairly busy day in here, for myself as I was available most of the day, and for the forum, as there was quite a bit of message traffic. You cut everything out, and it's silly to expect me to guess which out of 40 or 50 messages you might have been quoting before that, among those I've posted here lately.pr0phet589 wrote...
