The unidentified DVD is languages; I believe that the UK version has European languages included, but when you select English, it is never used.

When will be available the content of the Blood Dragon Armor that is part of the Collector's Edition packing?



I am waiting any reply and nothing. This armor is included in the game and I have rights on them.



The code of my packing is in use, and this is not funny with any customer!

About ATI cards, I dunno what is the problem but who use the Red Cards, need to download all new version patches on ATI website.



I use the powerful version Sapphire Atomic Toxic - 4900 series 1 GHZ~4,2MHZ - 1 GB/256 mb. My normally gb/s is 150 fix in Dragon Age, so I play in the max of the max with anti allasing on 8X hehe.

You do realize that this forum is nothing but other gamers discussing tech matters, plus a very rare appearance from a non-programmer type, Chris Priestley, right? He wrote the first message in this thread with the directions to the real support at EA.  Also, to any others who skipped his introduction, this is for GAME problems.  There are separate forums for DLC problems (distribution system bugginess), and POINT purchsing problems.

Sorry for my english, and for if this question has been made before but i haven't found it.



I have the original game, but there's no dowloading content in the playing game, even in the menu the option is empty. I've used the codes for shale and the armor, but either run. I have windows 7, maybe that could be the problem, and official support don't helps at all ¬¬

Someone may try to help you in here, but that is more of a SITE problem than a GAME problem, and in the correct forum you might get attention from a Bioware employee, which is very unlikely in here.

Zombie_Stripper, please see the Redeemed DLC Unofficial Troubleshooting FAQ for help debugging the issues with downloading and installing the downloadable content.

Gorath, there are many issues with the game installation and services that can cause DLC not to download that are appropriate to address here in this forum.(And for which we have a big huge sticky in this forum, there's no info about it in the site help forum.)

Ah, well! I've elected to avoid any aspect of the web site other than messages -- reading and writing in forums and PMs. So I almost never read any threads with DLC mentions in the titles, and naturally have forgotten about the sticky post in question that you named. I have no DLC, not free, not promotional, and I have none of the problems attending those, for which I think my choice was correct.

Can someone please help me. I'm lost.



I purchased this game for Christmas and installed it last night. I immediately can here, registered the game and created an ID and password. I am logged on now (obviously).



However, when I tried to redeem the free character, I got a message stating that it had already been redeemed. Then, when I tried to leave email on the official technical site, I receive a message telling me that my id or password are incorrect (I just logged onto this website again today using that same id and password).



To add insult to injury, the game tells me it can't run because it will not recognize my graphics board.



I can not leave email, and I see no telephone numbers to call for help.........so I'm asking if someone here can help me!

It's getting pretty late, 4 PM on the west coast, so you should hurry, but I am absolutely certain that the web site and the game manual both give you a number to call for support. 

The video card must meet the minimum requirements on the game box, although neither the Geforce 6600 GT, nor the Radeon 1550 will  provide an enjoyable experience at all, unless you really coarsen the reoilution, which make it look pretty ugly.  What is your video CARD?  Be advised that Intel has only tried once to make a video card, and failed most miserably.  All they make now is very weak, very slow, very bad vido chips buried inside of other larger chips. 

Windows XP Minimum Specifications
OS: Windows XP with SP3
CPU: Intel Core 2 Single (or equivalent) running at 1.6Ghz or greater
AMD 64 (or equivalent) running at 2.0Ghz or greater
RAM: 1 GB or more
Video: ATI Radeon X850 256MB or greater (either this is wrong)
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT 128MB or greater (or this one is wrong)
DVD ROM (Physical copy)
20 GB HD space

(Note: IMO, the two video cards above should be the Radeon X800 Pro, and the Geforce 6800 GS, at least)

Make sure you are using the email address you signed up with here as your username when you try and login on the offical support site, that is what it is looking for, not your display name here.

It seems my question hasn't been answered so I'm posting again:



When I take a screenshot in-game, it saves it as a .jpg in My Documents. However, I want it saved as a .png. What do I have to modify in the Bioware/Dragon Age folder so all screenshots are saved as .png files? Does anyone know what I need to do here? Apparently for another BioWare game you can just go to the .ini file in the game folder and modify the format there, but the screenshot file type is not there for DA.

When your registered here, it puts that exciting little D icon undor your portrait. You have no little D so perhaps you should register your game on this site?

edit: NM, as soon as I hit submit, you suddenly had a D, you must have figured it out on your own :))

Firt I'll say sorry if I'm repeating something other people have asked. I am doing the Circle Tower quest and I am in the fade portion of the quest. I was able to do the areas where you get the shapeshift spirits but as soon as I try to go to the outer islands where my party is trapped or where the sloth demon is I get a ridiculous load time followed by an unable to load area. I do not have the toolset downloaded

well, i got a problem. I can't even install dragon age.

setup will just not start (both directly or through autorun). Using that autorun-installer, the only options i got are to click on music on/off, install directx or exit.

is there maybe a certain way to install it without using setup.exe?

(i have the thailand edition of dragon age)

There is some copy protection on the disk to confound simpler copying algorithms, and it occasionally will conflict with some DVD drives (with two out of four that I tried here, forcing me to install across my home LAN from one PC onto another).  Beg or borrow someone's external DVD drive and try that.

Sorry if I'm writing in the wrong topic, but my problem rests with Bioware points. You see, I wanna get "return to ostagaar". Or whatever else I'd like to purchase. Problem is - I'm russian. The site says "Sorry, there are no payment methods available for your country". How can this be? I've got a credit card, I've got a digital deluxe PC Dragon Age. What's the problem? I even got Paypal! And I really don't wanna miss the return to ostagaar pack just because I'm russian. Not fair!

I have an issue, with what i think is my videocard but im not sure how to fix it. Whenever i load the game everything works ok but when i go to create my character, he is all black unless he is stationary. I have a card that supports this game and i have directx 10, any ideas?

Hi Anirel.

You want the points.bioware.com forum.  There is a thread there discussing the fact that Russians cannot buy points.

Sorry if this is a re-post or posted in a wrong thread, but by my "calculations" it might count as "Technical Support"-issues.

Question 1: I have purchased some "Bioware Points", but I can't get any DLC's up, when I enter the DLC-function in the game. (I have the PC-version.) And I have yet to download any DLC's. Can anyone tell me, what the problem might be???

Question 2: The version of DAO I have, contained 2 cd's, but the entire game was placed on 1 cd, so after installing the game (1 cd), I started playing. I then created my account here and registered my game, in order to redeem the codes for extra content that came with the game. I then noticed as mentioned above that nothing came up in the DLC-screen in the game, so I tried to insert the second cd, only to find out that when I press the "play button" in the auto-launch-screen, the game tells me that I can't use that cd, due to the fact that it has NOT been registered. Can the second cd have something to do with the issues mentioned in Question 1 above???

Question 3 (Maybe not a technical problem): In the "Achievement function" under "Player Profile", I have 4 achievements that I have come to wonder somewhat about. 2 achievements to "the stone prisoner" and 2 to the "Warden's Keep". (I have NOT "won" any of the 4 yet) Do these achievements even show, unless you have access to the areas, (Should I even be able to see the achievements to "Warden's Keep", if I haven't downloaded "Warden's Keep"?)

Question 4: Can anyone tell me, if it is possible to de-register a game code? (In case the problem in Question 2 is the reason to all the problems I have mentioned.)

There are a few issues with getting the proper connection between the game and the DLC servers.  See the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ for solutions to some of the more common problems.

Likely you have a multi-language version, the second CD contains the files for the extra languages.  You don't need it unless you want to install one of the other languages.

I think the achievements show up anyways, they snuck a few things into the main release to make sure people know the extra content is available.

I've been trying to update my game as it shows as 1.0 under the config option and I just saw that there are several patches out.

Unfortunately everytime I try to run the patch file it tells me that it cannot find DA:O installed and asks me to reinstall it. If I have the game running and try the patch file it tells me that certain components of DA:O is running and must be closed down prior to patching. Once closed I get the game is not installed message again.

Anyone have any advice? 

I downloaded the game through the EA download manager but I can't find anywhere on there to patch the game. I've tried moving the patch files to the drive where the game is installed, to the game folders, and still nothing works.
