eMachines EL1300G-02w - AMD Athlon 64 2650e 1.6GHz, 1GB DDR2, 160GB HDD, Windows xp





Forgive my ignorance of hardware, but is there anything I can do with this setup to get the game to work properly? I can play, but there is a big lag. Will doubling the memory even work with such a low grade pc? thanks

Exactly as shown on the game box's System Requirements label, a Mainline Gaming video card is required. Onboard video chips are not supported, sorry. The majority of the eMachines desktop systems have an empty video add-in slot for the needed discrete card.

Yes, Each Mission has an encounter. Wardens Keep is at Camp(or at least opens there) and Stone Prisoner is at Sulchers Pass

well i have a small question
i've bought collectors edition, i'm already downloaded the content like stone prisoner and warden's keep, the ones i've sent the reedem code.
but still,
in my profile page "your registered game promos" doesn't appears that i've the registered for the dragon blood armor, and yet, i've sent the correct reedem code!!!! whats wrong?

Hmm, I just turned on DA:O, only to find out that the two DLC's, Soliders Peak and Honnleath were gone, along will all the items I got from the two encounters. After a restart, I can now find the two locations on my map, but I am still missing the items. Wtf?

afigadumdumbranch, that happens occasionally when there is a glitch over DLC rights, and the game removes all DLC content. That really screws up any saves made after the content is removed, so even if some stuff comes back it won't be entirely correct, and cannot be easily fixed.

Safest thing to do is to go back through your saves and find when the items were still there and start playing again from there. If its not too far back and you don't mind redoing some areas that is the best thing to do.

The other option is to play around with developers console to fix up the DLC state.

Redeemed promo code for the stone prisoner but the content hasn't downloaded. It still appears in the ''available'' section, as if I never redeemed the code

Is there a way to re-redeem the code or something? I know it's not my e-mail adress, 100% sure.

Once you have redeemed the code its forever associated with your account and doesn't need to be redeemed again. Will show up on your Registered Game Promotions Page



If its not downloading and still shows as available that's likely a connection problem between the game and the server. A simple fix to try is to manually start the Dragon Age Content Updater Service before you launch the game.



1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER

2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.

3.) Right click it and select START

Hi, I'm having the following problem. I want to play Return to Ostagar, but I can't because this downloadable module requires the previous installation of the patch 1.02. I can't install the patch 1.02 nor 1.02a for Dragon Age: Origins.


Like many other people, I get the famous error -36 during the patch installation.


Are there any willingness to fix this problem or are we going to be left behind without the chance of enjoying any downloadable content?

Well.... so RtO is temporally removed and "available soon" (http://dragonage.bioware.com/addon/rto).

But again, anyone knows if Bioware has any intention for fixing the installation error (-36) many users are experimenting with the patch 1.02a?

Thank you. Unfortunately, none of these solutions works for me.


Maybe I would need to uninstall and delete even in the register any trace of Dragon Age: Origins . . . But even if that could do the things work (patching to 1.02a), I'm reluctant to do such thing because it's a lot of work and second, even if I can make a backup of my Saved Games, I'm going to lose all my game "achievements" (anyone knows in which folder are they stored?). The first time I uninstalled this game I really lost all my achievements even if I did a backup of the Saves. I really like the achievements and I don't want to start a new game for acquiring them again from the start.

EDIT: OK, a friend mine uninstalled all this and applied all required fixes (along with the help of tools like DAModder) in a new installation for not losing my achievements, mods and other data. I hope future Dragon Age patches wouldn't behave like this 1.02a does.

After talking to Eamon to start the Landsmeet, the handmaiden comes to tell us that the Queen has been imprisoned by Howe. After leaving Eamon's Estate, at this point, if I return the game crashes to desktop, displaying the standard Windows 'This game has encountered an error' message.

I played through once without problems, then I started again and installed the 1.02a patch mid way through the game, it played fine for a couple of weeks after that and now here I am stuck with a game I can't finish.

How I can get ALLS DLC, It only show me the shale quest and the grey wardens castle quest, where are the others quest? It supposed to show me and let me download all the new content. I don't want to get by ilegal methods, but they're forcing me to do that.

i can't get DAUpdater to run. i have read all sorts of messages, and it keeps giving me an error.

" daupdater.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

i have tried the run - service.msc ; i have tried turning it to automatic in properties ; i have tried at least 3 mods from Nexus.

and the error keeps happening. so i can't load any mods at all

any ideas, suggestions, hints ?

It was also like that at first for me but i soon realized you have to finish every quest in that area then you have to have a long conversation with the dwarves and it wouldnt work when i clicked on it ether i had to walk into it.\\
