What can I do to resolve this?

uninstalled then reinstalled dao now all dlc is showing in download progress but when i select one to download it does nothing can anyone help

DLC is tied to the account you redeemed it with.  If you login into the game with the same email address and login you were using before, it should automatically download the content again.

If it doesn't see the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ for solutions to common problems getting DLC downloads working.

You have to download the Character Creator and create and upload a character from within the Character Creator to get the Lucky Stone Ring.    Make sure you use the same login information as you use for Dragon Age.

 Hi everyone,

It's official, I've spent more time trying to play this game than I have actually playing it.

Generally, save games won't load, meaning I have to drop back hours worth of game play, and often when exploring texture maps vanish, leaving what look like normal maps in place.

I have the Steam digital deluxe edition, and have finally managed to get the extra content installed but I'm still crashing.

Intel Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz
NVIDIA 8800GT 512
2 GB DDR 800 Ram
WinXP PRO 32
ASUS P5Q-EM Mainboard

Nothing overclocked
Latest drivers installed for Intel Chipset, Realtek Audio and the 8800GT.
Have run a boot Memory checker, all fine
Absolutely no problems in anything else, whether Office 2K, L4D2 or WoW.

To say it's driving me insane would be an understatement.  Any ideas anyone?

I've never tried to return a Steam game, but I reckon it may be about time, which is a pain as so far, from what I have been able to play, I'm loving the game

Downloaded and installed latest patch (1.02) now DA wont open what is the fix? (I'm working w/ WinXP)

Also tried re-installing and redownloading content and was unable to install even though it said it downloaded. Tried updating with latest version and again same problem as above.

Fix problem 2 w/ complete uninstall of all DA content but could someone plz point me to a post that fixes the issue with the latest patch not working?

Having similar issue after d/l latest patch DAO will not open. I can reinstall back to 1.0 and things will work but I have the new DLC and would like to use it. Need patch that will work with Return to Ostagar. Found patch 1.01b and game plays but Return to Ostagar needs 1.02 to work.

4 gig of ram

With the zz_orz_debug thing what will it allow me to do in order to pass the quest. coz ive put it in but nothing is happening when i play im still stuk at Orz with the king quest (shifting allegiance)

Are you confusing in-game "Progress Points" with Online Purchasing points? The two are entirely separate.

Official Support didnt help at all.

i purchased the game some time ago, and had plenty of fun playing it.

then, all of a sudden, my PC stopped recognizing the CD!

no response at all!

its like its not there!

i had some trouble with my HD, so i had the PC down the lab, and got a new HD.

thought that that was the problem, but still no recognition of the CD in the driver!

i checked on other computers... one PC couldnt recognize the CD, and one laptop could see the files if i explored the driver, but wouldnt show me the CD otherwise.

my PC just wont recognize the CD at all.

is it corrupted?

need i get a new one?

or its just a technical thing that can be solved?

The disk has some sort of anti-copying tracks that create conflicts with some DVD drives.  Those drives cannot "see" that a disk is even inserted when they have the conflict, or instead they may generate CRC errors.  You can see if the maker of your drive has any firmware updates that may help, or you can use your hard copy's registration number to get a copy of the game through the EA Store digital download.

That's odd, I believe the Ser is supposed to talk to you before you can exit the main hall.. you should try updating DA:O to it's newest version/patch if you have retail or if you got it through Digital Download try getting your patch through them. It might've been a glitch in earlier versions of the game. Do you have your game updated?
Edit: also if you do have the game through digital download services such as steam there are options there to verify your game data to make sure every file was downloaded correctly, if you need help with this or the need help with your earlier question feel free to ask.

The game is updated to latest version (1.02a). I've tried to reinstall the game from scratch, change start character (not sure of spelling is correct, I'm from sweden) and I still get the same problem... The game is installed from DVD, not downloaded from steam or other on-line service.

I've also tried to talk to the in-game characters, but the same thing happens as with the doorproblem.

I'm stuck...
