ea download manager 6 has problems.. its faulty.. my ea manager 5 was working fine and great.. since the auto update to 6 i can't even connect to the manager.. plz inform ea to resolve the issue as i purchased the dragon age expansion and wont be able to download it later like this

2 sources with same issue below: (you can't reinstall eadm 5 as it will automatically update to 6.. what a pain)

Sorry but i don`t wanna read 54 pages so my problem is, i bought the game with promo codes, on this page it says everything is activated but i can`t download something and ingame nothing appears at installed contents so what the problem? =(

i installed the 1.02 patch for "Return to ostagar" addon but now the game freezes when i start the DAO ??? i can´t even make a new char.Can any 1 help???

As a simple quick possible fix, make sure that the Dragon Age Content Updater service is running.  Try manually starting it before you start the game.
1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER
2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.
3.) Right click it and select START

If that doesn't start things downloading (you can check on the Download Progress tab under Downloadable Content), there is more advanced troubleshooting in the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ

You may also want to try the beta fix that is available for the Content Updater.

My problem is that I'm conected online over wireless connection, i redeemed the Blood Dragon armor downloadanle content and it doesn't show at downloadable content when i start the game and look for it. I also have the problem thet i wrote any possible way of writing redeem code for Stone Prisoner (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, x - random letter / number) and it says that the code isn't good. What shall i do?

Has anybody had this problem - when I downloaded Return to Ostagar and updated to 1.02, my main character can no longer change armour.



I mean - it can be changed on the inventory, but the character portrait doesn;t update in the main game.

That's an occasional glitch that happens even without RtO or 1.02.  Try a quick save and reload and see if that fixes it.

Well i do not know where to post this how ever i get to errors First of all i cant download the content it just dose not turn other them blank... tried official tech support help ...

Now i having an interesting translation bug dont know where to report it but my mage is beeng spoken to as to a woman... thats propably a scripting error becoze the game just dose not id you as a man mage.

I know patching a game is usually easy thanks to the automatic game detection in a lot of .exe files used to patch. Unfortunately in my case it complicates things. I have two hard drives and I installed DAO on my second (D) (and not primary) hard drive ©. When I try to patch the game it tells me it doesn't exist. I have tried copying and pasting the patch into many folders in hard drive (D) and even © and installing it from there but it still cannot find it. Downloading DLC has worked find but patching the game is another story. Advice anyone? Thanks.

Some mods can cause gender confusion, particularly ones which change your starting stats.

Your achievements should redownload from this site if you log into the game with the same account.

Weird behavior like that has been attributed to both mods and exports from the toolset overriding some game files.  Remove all mods you have installed and make sure the following directories are empty

My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Modules\\Single Player
My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override
c:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override (or whereever you have Dragon Age installed)

Kepha, no. I earn my achivments offline. After online registration my achivments save on profile, but then my system failure and i re-install D.A., and now my b.p. 0, BUT profile says, that i STILL HAVE those achivmets. Look at my profile!

Any achievements which show up on your online profile will get pulled down from the site back to your game once you log into the game.  Any achievements that were earned offline and do not show up on the online profile are lost, you will have to earn them again.

If however by b.p you mean Bioware Points to purchase DLC with, those are seperate from the achievement system and need to be purchased for real money by going to Profile->Add Bioware Points on the left.  The Points on the Achievement Screen are just a game progress indicator and cannot be used to buy DLC.

Been over a week now, and the return to ostagar still will not show up.

Hello. I have tried to patch to v1.02 about 10 times now uninstalling the game between each try. Every time I reinstall the game from CD the game runs fine and is playable. When I download patch 1.02, launch the game, and click on the "play" button nothing happens at all, it just stays on the launcher screen. The only posts about clicking the play button and nothing happening link to a thread about patch 1.01a or b, but I am trying to patch to 1.02. I did try the VC++ download like the fix for 1.01 said to do, and right at the end of downloading vc++ update it gives me "error 1935" and cancels the update.



Has anyone else had this problem where the game works fine and patch 1.02 makes clicking the play button do nothing at all, or does it sound like something is wrong with my computer since it isn't letting me download vc++ update? If anyone has had the problem with their computer not letting them download the vc++ update and fixed it can you help?
