Progress points are not the same as Bioware store purchase points.  Are you trying to equate them somehow?

Rolling it back on Steam is going to be a bit of a project, I just haven't had time to deal with.

I can't transit from one area to another, when I right-click nothing happens (I'm stuck in my camp). I loaded an earlier save and found out that I only have the problem when I want to transit to different areas on the WORLD MAP. I also tried transitioning by clicking the map icon at the top of the screen, it opens the world map, but when I click on other areas of the world map it says:"You cannot travel at this time". PLEASE can you tell me how to fix this or maybe supply me with a link where I can find out how to fix this? I also want to know if maybe it's possible to fix it with the Toolset?

I have no information about travel. However, if Cagn had used the forum's SEARCH to look for "Black Eyes", the answer is there (or even easier, just scroll down some!).

For some odd reason, EA didn't make DA:O compatible with Windows 7 64 bit. What makes even less sense, is that they're releasing an expansion pack before fixing this glaring issue. I honestly feel scammed.

Strangely, I was able to play this game once all the way through with marginal issues. Now whenever I try to play, the game crashes and boots me to the desktop. I really love this game and would like to play, so if anyone knows a way I can get this game to work on my computer, please let me know.

Have you been playling around with the toolset.  That has been known to potentially generate overrides that can interfere with the single player game.

Delete the following directory My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\Modules\\Single Player if it exists.

You also probably want to remove all mods and remove everything out of the My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override and the Program Files\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override directories.

The game ran fine for me until this new update.
I have logged in about 90 hours and only one crash.... Then after this latest update I seem to crash every 2-5mins after loading my game.

PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM! I have done searches on google and there are TONS of people who had ZERO issues before this latest update and now are crashing tons!
I cant even play this game at the moment and its one of my favorites!!

So, I'm having two problems that are completely unrelated and at least one of them is likely my fault somehow.

First, I tried to register my game and I was told the code was invalid which is impossible since it's my game. I understand a lot of people have had similar troubles so I'm not too worried but I was wondering what I should do.

Second, is a bit trickier (at least for me anyway). So, I was attempting to download some mods - I admit it, I was bored - and I used the "default" program to unzip the files. It's like, DAUpdates and it says it's on my computer. It asks me if I want to continue, I click yes, and I get told that it can't find said file and to contact Tech Support. I don't know which Tech Support it meant, so here I am, a little ticked off and completely out of ideas. The sooner I get my new gear for Leiana and the ability to play my Dalish mage the better, so I'm hoping this too can be fixed.

The odd thing is that I was about to get two mods with no trouble and it's only recently that I have gotten this error, so that makes me think that I may have done something without realizing it that may have caused this to happen. I'm no computer genius, you see.

Thanks a million Kepha!! and yes I was playing around with the toolset, didn't know how it actually worked. (I'll be more careful next time)

I only did the following you said:

When the dungeon at Howe's estate in Denerim loads, it is almost a black screen except for the faint outline around my characters and the occasional item I stumble across.   I cannot see doors, hallways or anthying on screen or on my minimap.

Solutions?

hey i downloaded the new patch of 1.03, but when i try to install, it gives me an error message saying "dragon age origins game not found"



it is installed on my computer, and i think it might be because i installed the game to an external hard drive. is there any way to fix this? please answer. Thanks

Hi guys. I have a little problem. I'm playing as a Human Noble, and while doing the Mage Circle quest (in which you have to collect infos about how mages messed up the situation), after killing some lesser demons, I can't pick up one loot. It is stuck close to a piece of wood, on the floor. I can click on it, it says "pick up" too, but when I do, the pg just goes there and won't pick it up.

So I want to know if there's something I can do about it (apart from loading the game), because that loot is for sure a piece of diary I may need.

Windows did an auto update and now game won't recognize saved games, wants me to start over. Where do I direct game to look for prior saved games? Game running off external hard drive.

get an update already Bioware... to make it so we go back to 1.2 lol. 1.3 is horrible. I had NO issues with 1.1 or 1.2 but this 1.3 is ridicolous.

 Like (apparently) a lot of people here are reporting, once I installed patch 1.03, the game crashes every few minutes. It crashed ONCE for the 60 hours I played it before installing the patch. Not only that, but now my computer won't even recognize the game. The long load times are fixed, but the game itself is less stable than it was before.

(I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.)

I am having quite a few problems with patch 1.3. It's horrid - considering going back to 1.2 - even if it means I can't play the expansion. Not only does my game have way more frequent crashes - the pathing is terrible. Party members seem to get stuck on, around, and behind things and won't move until I take control and move them or get far enough away they jump ahead. Very annoying in combat. Nothing like engaging the enemy and having my tank 30 feet behind me admiring the rock under his foot. Although enemies are having the same issues - getting stuck behind columns, behind doors, on blades of grass. Sorry - spoilers here - but I couldn't complete Return to Ostagar in my current game because the Necromancer got stuck on something after running up a ramp towards the Tower of Ishal. He showed up in the cutscenes in the tower and on the battlefield - but never spawned down there. Killed the ogre and went back up to find him still in that spot on the ramp outside the tower. I was able to kill him there but couldn't get the end cutscene for Cailin. Never had the pathing issues until 1.3. Noticed a lot more lag in the new patch too.

Possible fix!  I restored my original KeyBindings.ini file and everything is working now.

I get crashes with a specific graphic effect when using spells like Mana Cleanse I think it is. It's a circle of white smoke that billows outwards. It often crashes the game, whereas pre 1.03 it NEVER crashed. I have no mods that alter spells or graphics and my PC easily beats the recommended spec.

I waited 30 mins in the EAgames live chat and when I asked about my missing items from the Fort Drakon Captured quest the person "Peter" said that it was an ingame issue and he didnt have information. I was in the "Ingame" area for questioning...so it seems that Bioware/EA are a bunch of Helen Keller love children. If you people buy their **** then you're living up to the definition of INSANITY....doing the same **** over expecting different results. Never again will they get my money.
