1- after all the specs ive seen in these posts not working, is it still reasonable to ask everyone to describe their pc stats or would it be more simple to assume that testing was inadequate and that if they cant find the solution for most they are not likely to find the solution for all
like when they say min spec for use on pc dont they mean on all PCs with those specs! oh wait maybe they mean that all the specs have to be exactly like the ONE they tried it out on
2- if most are spending more time trying to find solutions on these posts to their problems then actual playing time then the end result is "FAIL"
why am i thinking that such widespread crap should be resolved in beta testing rather than on the real market, is that a new concept ? its actually feeling like the purchase cost is actually a research and development cost and as far as i know the developper not the customer is to assume
those fees until they manage to get reimbursed after so many sales, i dont recall investing in a PROJECT !!!!
ok so quirks are to be expected but this game has been on the market for what 5-6 months now and has an expansion already and some people cant even play the damn original, nice priorities
So far its not looking good for Bioware / EA

You shouldn't install this unless you you want to kill your game

Basically it means this game is on the shelf for me until the issue is resolved. At first I tried to just grit my teeth and deal with them while constantly quicksaving because I love the DA:O so much, but I was fighting The Baroness earlier and had it crash over halfway through the fight, which meant almost 10 minutes of tense, strategical fighting went poof. I'm just not going to deal with that - not from a BioWare product. I really wish they had waited at least another month or so to iron the bugs out because it simply wasn't ready.
I played DA:O flawlessly and without a hitch, and my rig crushes the recommended specs. Then 1.03 arrives and this starts happening. Here's to getting a fix soon.

Now that I've said that like a thousand folks said before me patch 1.03 virtually killed the fun. It would appear every fighting scene has a good chance of causing CTD's
I have the latest drivers for my graphics card and sound. I seem to be getting odd clipping in NPC voices (especially noticeable for the dwarf NPC in Vigil Keep, one with the weird name for the fortification quest). I also have parts where background music for combat scenes cuts out part way or simply isn't there where you know it should be.

I haven't been acquainted with any bugs in DA before this, so this is my forst post on the forums. Hello y'all.
To get to the point: This is my second playthrough, and I don't recall having this bug the first time..
Well, after you entered the Fade at the start your supposed to enter the mouse form to bla bla bla we know all that. However, this playthrough nothing happens at all while trying to click to enter the mouse form. Click-click-click, nothing happens. I've tried every approach. Simple bug, but still very very annoying. The results in me being stuck in the Fade literally, and I can't go any further.
Help?

For some odd reason, EA didn't make DA:O compatible with Windows 7 64 bit. What makes even less sense, is that they're releasing an expansion pack before fixing this glaring issue. I honestly feel scammed.
Strangely, I was able to play this game once all the way through with marginal issues. Now whenever I try to play, the game crashes and boots me to the desktop. I really love this game and would like to play, so if anyone knows a way I can get this game to work on my computer, please let me know.
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
Video: 8800 GTS, 196.21 driver
CPU: Q6600 QuadCore Processor
RAM: 4 gigs 1366 MHZ 9-9-9-24
I have had the same problem. If you want to use any of the projects that have to be uploaded to the game using the override file you have to uninstall DAO and re-install it. Then you have to upload the projects using override and then if you have the expansion - re-install or install for the first time the expansion.
The override file in any pc with win 7 x64 disapeared with patch 1.02 for DAO. Once you install the expansion your overide file will disapear again as it containes patch 1.03 which contains patch 1.02. You have to uninstall and re-install DAO to use the expansion with win 7 x 64 anyway as you cannot load it with patch 1.03 intalled.
Make sure that you do not uninstall your saved games.

If you seriously want the fellow gamers who are residents in the forum to offer assistance, you will provide information about the hardware, the OS, and the drivers. Otherwise, you are wasting space with the comment.phil3995 wrote...
My dragon age PC game keeps freezing every so often while I'm playing and I don't know why my computer should be able to handle the game. It only freezes for about a minute then works fine again but the freezing has become more frequent recently and I don't know what the problem is.

It could be any number of things but without your PC specs, nobody can tell you what it is exactly. With the current info, it would all be guesses and wouldn't help you out much.
