I'm having an issue with my game crashing in Denerim (nowhere else), and upon trying to load my last save, the game crashes again. I'm running Win7 64bit, Ver 1.03 of Dragon Age.

I bought DA, installed it , wanted to start and it looks like something with my "speedtreert.dll" isn't ok...
It was hard to find a other dl with and dosn't work, too.
Can someone upload his SpeedTreeRT.dll file and post the link, i hope than it will work....

Or any other ways to get the game started :ohnoez:

edit: lol, all dll files in the bin_ship folder and i had to copy them in the mainfolder and it works xD

don't know if anyone has had a similar problem or has a solution but I've never had a problem running the game until I got to this point after the landsmeet when im on my way to rescue the queen and the is a cut scene involving zevran and talisden? I think his name might be however the only thing I can see is my darkened out characters and a grey skyline. I tried killing all the enemies but am unable to exit and so unable to get any further in the game. as i said the game has run fine till now so i can't understand why it would do this

I am in the Brecilian Forest and the entire screen is like an incredibley thick white fog, so i can only see my character and that is it. Then on top of that, my character fell into some kind of sinkhole and can not interact with any of the quest objectives or area transitions except i talked to three werewolves while i was still below the map. I have loaded old saves before this happened but still end up below the map, i have restarted my pc, the game, and i even patched the game, yet nothing works. 
Any ideas?

Ok this is my problem, I have played the first dragon age through multiple times. After a while you get to like your characters then i completed the game. So pumped to hear there is an expansion i rush out and get it. Install it and by now im dying to play my old characters through another epic story. Oh guess what? I cant! there is no option to import a character for me, all i can do is start over new.

2.2 – How do I import my Dragon Age: Origins character into Dragon
Age: Origins - Awakening?
It's the same process to import characters for each platform. Players
will go to New Game, select Awakening, and then click on "Import
Character". Then players select from a list of available characters.
Players can also choose an advanced option to choose a specific save
game instead of the most recent save game for that character if they
desire.This does not work, i select new game then awakening. The only thing on the next screen is a character that im creating. Male/female dwarf/human/elf. How do i import?!

You can avoid this crash: do not selected 'Resume' after starting the game. Load a previous save but avoid saves that were made in Denerim (e.g. load a savegame that was saved in Camp). After you loaded that savegame, load your last save (the one that caused the crash), and the game won't crash now.

The above workaround works on my computer (Win 7 x64).

I finished DAO and just installed Awakening and patched 1.03, but now I can't start the game it says "The game cannot launch because of a misconfiguration" I've tried reinstalling both the expansion and the original game and the problem seems to only come up when I try to install the expansion and/or patch 1.03. Anyone know how to fix this?

Hey people. I'm having problems with a crash that occurs after a cut scene.

The cutscene is for the "Attack at Nightfall" quest. Just after I talk to Ser Perth about being ready for the fight the cutscene shows. The game then autosaves and then stops working. Ive tried changing my graphics settings, updating drivers and so on. I don't really want to have to load a save way back and do all the work again so any suggestions?

EDIT: Tried reloading a save back at the camp before I traveled to Redcliffe and had the same problem.
Also before it stops working I have about 2 seconds of gameplay and I appear to be below the ground as the enemies appear above me. I think the map had trouble loading or something.

hi, is the 1st time posting here and was a problem that seemed quite unusual to me and here I discuss

in
the mission in the kidnap and you have to go with all the characters
naked and go picking the team of 4 experiments have to appear different.

and I searched the whole area, and found only 3. In
the area of the 2 dragons that you have to deal with my main character
was naked as I was looking for more and found no enemy to my character
and I had my computer and lost everything

Having
invested in the computer all hours of the most original 10 or 12 hours
I had in the expansion and a bug or a programming problem that has
displayed the character and my team has lost the objects appeared
rather disappointing to me

You actually tried running the DA: O game with a Vanilla 6600?  That is way below the performance level of the 6600 GT named officially (and erronneously, IMO) as the minimum.  The 6800 GS is far more appropriate as the minimum. 

Awakening seems to need slightly more out of a video card, so once you do sort out the new error message about reconfiguring, you may find the game's responsiveness is just too poor to continue!   I've never had that (the error message on misconfiguration) problem, however, I have seen, although didn't commit anything to memory, a lot of past threads about it.  Try a Search for it, why don't you? 

"Your search for « misconfiguration » returned 30 result/s."

Interestingly, my name is on the one at the very top from a comment I added.  I may open that thread to see what I was doing that day (21 days ago).

OK, I have done that, and wasn't at all impressed with my own contribution, so I rewrote it.

Yes, I get an error when I try to resume my game.





It says I have unauthorized DLC. It shows the list (Warden's Keep, Memory band, stone prisoner, etc.).



Problem is that I bought the digital Deluxe edition and got everything legit. Haven't moved computers or anything.

hey i just got a new laptop specs are windows 7 64bit ati 5730 GPU i7 1.6-2.8 ghz quad 4gig ddr3 ram i cant get the game to load at all i have it installed and every time i go to try and make a new game it just keeps loading wont go any further lowerd my settings and turned of ati cat center and still nuthing plz help p.s have 1.3 also

I was having a problem with my game freezing up, so I checked the help files and they suggested that I try many different things, none of them worked so I did the last possible solution and that is to uninstall and reinstall Dragon Age origins.

Now when I try to reinstall the game I get an Error Message that States:

"The following file could not be found: DAOLauncher.xml"

This is not a good thing, is it?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My computer is a component system I built myself for gaming.

The following parts and OS are contained within:

XFX nForce 780i SLI 3-way SLI Motherboard 
Intel Core2 Quad CPU    Q6700  @ 2.66GHz
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS SLI ready
1 Terabyte HDD
6 GB Corsair RAM (I did have 8GB but one stick went bad during installation of Windows 7)
Windows 7 ultimate x64 edition OS (I had a choice of 64 bit or 32 bit, I chose 64 bit)

Hee i have a question.

I have purchased return to Ostagar and the The stone prisoner with bioware points.
I did this through the website and not from ingame. Ingame it doesnt show any available content actually.
The thing is that i can't start the dowload from my downloadable content.
Not from inside the game or from this website. It doesnt find the content in the dowloadable content list or anywherer really. On the other hand it does show my current ammount of Bioware points so i am logged in. HELP PLEASE!!
And on the website the Dowload button does not apear to be there. All the Mass effect content i have has the bottun but my dragon age stuff only shows -- instead of "Dowload"

If this is the because i havent registered my game i would have really like to know it in advance this would be a side effect.
I dont have my code anymore or the box or anything from that game anymore. I moved a couple of months ago and.
allot of stuff gets lost when u do that. :-s, Especially when ur mother helps packing..
I know u guys cant give me a code or anything to register the game anyway,since everybody can give u sad story about loosing theire code.
I would on the other hand would like the get my bioware points back if this problem cant be fixed.

About 90% of the time, it will be EXACTLY what it says it is, a requirement to replace a useless and old PC component with a newer and usable part.

I had purchased 1600 points on credit card, and after 3 days of back and forth e-mails, and many suggestions that didn't work, I gave up and had my credit card refuse the payment. I never did see anything either in game or on the game promotions page showing I had downloadable content. This function of the website is truly borked!
