Don't feel bad, Doetze, I had the same experience and went to EA as
directed. I had purchased 1600 points on credit card, and after 3 days
of back and forth e-mails, and many suggestions that didn't work, I gave
up and had my credit card refuse the payment. I never did see anything
either in game or on the game promotions page showing I had downloadable
content. This function of the website is truly borked!

To both Doetze and shalafi: for issues with the bioware points, it is much more useful to ask your questions on points.bioware.com forum. Maybe you can find an answer there. Personally I have had no issues with the points, so I can't help you out on it.

Maybe Patch 1.04 should finally put the Ancient Elven Boots in the game. it would be nice to be able to import stuff from warden's keep to DA:A. of course, that might be a bit too much like oghren asking for a pony.

May as well add me as another user who cant get the Blood Armor and Stone Prisoner working consistantly. Not authorised, I purchased the two addon quests no problem and they work. I've only created one account so it can't be that. Tried the suggestions in the DLC/DRM not working thread, no dice. The thing is it will work occasionally, of couse it will then break and I can't load my saves if I'm logged in.



I like this game (would not have purchased the addons if I didn't), but this DRM stuff is getting really silly. It's clearly not fit for purpose. I purchased the Steam version of the game, what's wrong with it's DRM? At least it works and it puts the DLC with my game, located on the D drive! It's hard to stay civil at times like these!

Hello,

I am having graphic problems playing Dragon age.



The game ran perfectly all through up to where Morrigan joins my team. After I leave the Wilds to make my way to Lothering, a cut scene plays perfectly, but when I return to actual game play all ground and environment graphics disappear.



The ground is nothing but a “black space” and the sky horizon is just a gray nothingness. Characters appear as shadows with a faint outline. I turned the graphic settings down to the lowest possible setting and the characters became visable, but the ground and sky remained the same. I can’t advance anywhere because my characters run into obstacles that are invisible.



I have tried restarting the computer many times, adjusting the graphic settings, and downloaded the newest drivers for my graphics card, to no effect.



This did not start happening until after I downloaded the newest patch 1.03. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.



What should I do?



I am running Windows XP 32



2 GB of RAM



My graphics card is NVidia GeForce 7950 GX2



I am playing the USA region version.

Hello!

I've just bought Dragon Age from England, and in my version there is only one disc. I've tried to change the language to hungarian, but the option in the game settings is disabled.

My questions are:

1. is there a different version of the game, which not included the second disc with the language files OR

2. against what I've read, the official English version is not multilanguage?



(Or, there's just some unique problem, and I have to contact with the seller (zavvi.com) to solve the missing second disc issue?)

The Stateside version is on one disk only, but the west European version had a second disk for languages; personally, I don't know that all of the available languages were included with a single version of a language disk.  If you only got one disk, you must've gotten the stateside version, instead of European.  That's only a WAG, of course.

Hello, I'm having a problem running Dragon Age, in less than 5 minutes when I run it I get the game frozen and I have to restart my computer pressing the restart button, the whole computer is frozen when that happens and I can see my screen turn to psychedelic colors.



Anything I can do to solve this?

Ok, I've run into a glitch. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem. I took Shale into the Fade with me and I can't get past the statue on my way back to the fade pedestal to get out of this part of the game. I've freed Shale and the Statue won't let me pass. I've uploaded a screenshot of this in my album. This is Shale's Nightmare. There seems to be a problem with this dream area regardless of which companion is in the middle dream area, at least for me. I've had problems with Sten in this same area.



When I click on this area to walk past the statue I get that funny sound when you can't walk somewhere. When I click beyond the statue it bounces me right into and behind the statue instead of allowing my character to get past it. Is there a trick to this I'm missing? My only course of action is to reload and take a different companion into the fade instead of Shale.



Any suggestions, anyone?

You have to use WASD movement to get around this glitch...oversight, whatever they call it. Don't use the mouse at all unless past the problem statue. Good luck.

I'm kind of surprised they never patched this.

Thanks, this finally worked. Man that was rough. I agree, I can't believe they haven't fixed this. I guess I won't take Shale to the Fade anymore.

Oh sorry bout not posting the vid card thought it was some other kind of error.  I believe i have a GMA X4500HD.
Im not very knowledgeable when it comes to the computer (been trying to read up on it).  Should i just plan on getting a new graphics card?

Intel doesn't produce any video devices capable of being used for games of this class, sorry.  You will need a real system that has either an ATI or a nVIDIA video CARD in it.

That's a radeon HD 5670 for $94, with free shipping.  You probably can find a better price for an HD 5670 at that seller's site (Newegg).  The HIS was $84 ten days to two weeks ago, when it was on sale.

Yeah, sorry, It's about time to be looking for a new graphics card.

But if you are not sure on what to buy for your system, I can help you with that.  I am not the biggest on ATI cards,

more so knowledgable about Nvidia hardware. 

Anyways if you can tell me a budget $$$ amount, and the current specs(motherboard,ram,processor,Power Supply) on your PC I will help you find the right one. 

For those specs:

The motherboard is the least importent if you can't figure that out however, as long as it has an pci x16 slot.  Open up your computer and look for the big one.

Power Supply, need the following information, Total Wattage(example 500w), 12v rails. 12v1 12v2 etc.. in Amps (example 12v1 20 amps).  You can find it on the side of the Power Supply, looks like THIS. 
Or if you find the exact name of the power supply that would work also.(although above would be very helpful)

Processor, if you do not know download CPUZ, http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php, post what it says under Name

Ram, will also be told by CPUZ if you are unsure under Memory tab.  Need DDR or DDR2(hopefully), Size (GB or MB) and speed (example 400mhz) <- it will show half the actual speed so if it says 400mhz it actaully 800, 533 its 1066.

I'm really upset. Just build a US$1.500,00 rig to play DA:O and ME2 and I can't even start the game. I'm running (at least trying) the game on Steam and it is patched to 1.03. The uninstall option in the DA Launcher doesn't highlight, but I don't know if it's due to Steam. I've also already checked the integrity of the files via Steam and it's OK.

AFAIK, patch 1.03 makes far many more problems than it was supposed to cure, which is a serious slam against buying tghe Steam version, since they give you no option to avoid that piece of dreck!
