Ever since I updated to 1.03, I can barely play DAO more than 5 minutes without the game crashing and losing everything i just previously accomplished with any character or saves. What the frick is going on? I don't have awakening expansion, so what should I do? Should i uninstall the game and reinstall? will reinstalling the game destroy all my current progress and saved games?



What's the point of having this game if I can't play it more than 5 minutes without it crashing and causing major issues? If this doesn't get fixed soon, I want a refund.



Any suggestions as to how I can get around this problem without losing any of my saves would be greatly appreciated. As a side note, prior to downloading the 1.03 update, I NEVER crashed once and the game played extremely smooth and well.

Ive tried to install Dragon Age : Origins , but as soon as I want to play it A message pops up that says ' This application has failed to start because Physxloader.dll was not found ??? Ive Re-installed it for 2 times now . I know there is nothing wrong with my PC or platform !! Im running a Winows vista with 1 terra byte hard drive and 4 GB RAM . And the game card is a Nvidea Geforce 265 GX I think ? Can somoene help please ???

Im in the same boat as Maiden_ante... Im about half way through the game and soldiers peak has disappeared from the map. (aka wardens keep.)

Any ideas? Would be nice not to lose all the stuff stored there....

You need to contact official support at EA's site.  They will probably tell you how to get a digital copy of the game.

hi! i bought my game 7 months ago (which i regret a lot) and i have even bought new cpu and gpu only to get to play this game on high settings and with good framerate. Now i have spent 3-4h on every week after my purchase to find why i have so bad performance and don't even suggest to contact customer support because i have already done that. Their responses were ridiculous. They said to put my resolution to 800x600 to increase fps (yeah right) second was play with xp compatibility mode which i wont because back of my reads that vista is supportet and i already tried that and i wrote it on my post and they didn't read it. Last was to empty my temp folder! oh ****s sake.

So i wont get refund and won't get no help from anywhere.great. I'm thinking that maybe i'm goint to perform medieval execution to this game by splitting it with axe. 60e game and 6h play time and countless wasted hours. i know that pc optimisation is hard job to do but why so many reviewers praised that how beutifully this game runs with maxed settings and so forth. i think mass effect 3 will be my last game i'm ever buying from bioware and thats because i really REALLY wanted to get to play this game and the six hours i so far played were GREAT...

This is getting embarrassing on Biowares behalf. I've found no help regarding the keep not shown/ostagar not shown-screwup. I've only seen some consolerelated fixes from fans that doesn't always work (as it have not worked in my case). They should seriously put a hotfix or new patch that deals with this problem or at least give some concrete answers. My and others respect for Bioware will be seriously undermined if this issue hasn't been taken care of within the span of the next two months or so.

have you tried to google that problem? i think you could trie to uninstall physx. and then download newest version of it or install it from the disc, also you maybe missing just one file because i got similiar message when trying to play borderlands and that was fixed by downloading one file and putting it to the game folder. If any of those won't fix it you can search forums by writing physxloader.dll to forum search and maybe post it to DAO customer support and if they can't help you with that I*M going to kick their asses coz i'm so pisssed off to them.

I'm buy the Digital Deluxe edition on Steam than registered on EA and download game from EA Download Manager(in Hungarian language), i'm see the DLC's in game but not installed or Free. I'm not like to Buy these DLC's again if is in the Digital Deluxe edition.

In wardens keep quest, when you have to protect the mage while he closes the rip no demons spawn. so we just sit there and nothing happends. anyone have any ideas how to fix this

Ok, just finished playing Leliana's Song. Really enjoyed this. However, I need to report an issue. One of the achievements didn't unlock and I had trouble with cut scene transactions especially at the end the scenes killing the bad dude.  The journal also didn't update to show that he had been killed and the achievement didn't unlock.  

 Also Bioware, what is the problem with you people putting in epliogue saves at the end of your games? This could be the problem on why the achievement didn't unlock even though I choose the dialogue and killed the bad dude at the end for it to do so. Once again, technical crap issues that spoil a perfectly good game.  What,  departments within your company having office politics going on instead of doing their jobs of putting out a good product?  Really makes a consumer wonder.

ofcourse they isin't they don't care as long as people keep spending money on their games they are fine. Dosen't matter if game has problems. If it's already paid, bioware dosen't care...

 Every non-mod generic item (like a normal steel sword)'s icon is replaced with a grey square. Nothing game-breaking but VERY annoying. I fixed it before by removing the Icons Project, but cannot repeat that feat.

bioware seems to be too busy making dlcs and DAO 2 to give **** about DAO 1. If you cant play DAO now i'm pretty sure you wont get to. If its in bioware's hands. Think about what 1.03 made for some people and how bad 1.04 (if they even makes it) will mess this game. i hope someone makes law suit for biware and brings em down.

even though i hated DAO, be realistic: this game is far outside of its budgeted support timeframe. you need to be in general and custom computing forums like tom's hardware, liquidninjas, etc. EA/BW can't have every possible configuration to run these specific tests on even if they still had a full team devoted to patching.
