Where to Find *Official* Dragon Age: Origins PC Game support

I did a search on Microsoft's answers gaming forum in windows 7 and there are 355,000 posts for problems with directx. Mostly related to directx 9 and 10 problems from what I could see and there's not to many answers either.
So thats why I say Windows 7 ships with directx 11 only and there's probably a reason for it. I noticed on this site there is a lot of trouble with windows 7 and DA:O. Do you know if it runs on windows xp pro 32 bit better than windows 7. I am with a level 3 tech in EA's support for about a week. No luck DAOrigins.exe still crashes with the exception code: 0xc0000005. And the last module loaded is mostly always netbios.dll

I have a similar problem, but I'm afraid this didn't work for me. (I use Windows XP, but I found the "Dragon Age: Origins Updater" service and tried to start it manually. It wouldn't start.)

I just bought the "Ultimate Edition" from Impulse, and after 30 hours spent downloading the game, I can't log in, because it says I don't have internet access (although the game will take me online if I click on "Website" or "Online Profile").

Without logging in, all of that extra content that came with the game is considered "unauthorized" and is unavailable to me. Bioware tech support was no help. Anyone here have another suggestion?

Note that my firewall settings are OK. Just to be sure, I disabled it, but this still doesn't work.

having issues with internet connection in game. Tells me that there is no internet connection and I cannot log on to use my DLC content. Also support page is BS never will load and also will not let me look at anything but the first page of a forum post. Is there a phone number that I can call and talk to somone to fix my problem?..... and I thought Blizzards support was bad.

 why cant i send any messages to support? anyways any off u maybey know how to solve this problem i have a new computer and i don't seam to be ably to download the dlc that i got from the digital deluxe edition from steam cause it says that the key has been used and i can't dowload anywhere in the game so what should i do?

FYI, I finally discovered my problem with this. Electronic Arts tech support wasn't much help, but my ISP walked me through a lot of different possibilities. It turned out that something - I don't know what - was wrong with my DSL modem. It worked fine for everything else, but not this.

Anyway, I just had to reboot it (sticking a toothpick in a hole in the back until the power light started blinking). Once it came back online, everything worked fine.

Well, at least I can log in now. My premium content still says "unauthorized," though. I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with that. I suppose it has something to do with buying the game from Impulse? It's all download only, so I don't know how to fix that.

Also, I don't know if I have to start a new game in order to use the premium content (once I finally get it unlocked). Does anyone here know?

Yours is the only one of these from thr past week or so that I can offer any help with, or at least try to see if there's something to be done. 

I have never downloaded any additional content, so in that regard, forget it, but there is a Chat Line you can call and get in the queue for.  But you will have to be more clear about this statement:"support page is BS never will load" because there isn't anythng wrong with EA's help site at all.  

The next part also isn't at all clear "also will not let me look at anything but the first page of a forum post".

Which is the case among those two?

Help!



I accidently delected all my addins and now I can't seem to download them through the game itself when you usually have it shown in downloading content. =\\



Also even before that, I seemed to have problems with some ot working, even tho I downloaded and installed them properly. I don't know what to do.

Hi!



I'm interested in purchasing Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition and I am wondering if my computer could run it?



Here our my basic specs:

2gb RAM

Intel Core 2 Duo Proccessor E4500

Nvidia GT240

2.20 Ghz



Would that be alright to run it? If so, what kind of FPS would I be looking at?

It'll run it, and ought to beat 50 FPS, but I can't be certain with so little to go on.

The same as usual, Windows version, CPU core speed, and video card RAM type.  There is a junk version of the GT 240, that only has DDR2, instead of GDDR5.

It was 1.03 that was mostly guilty of that, but yes, it is very common for those with Vista and Windows 7.

Ok, so I just recently patched (by recent I mean yesterday) And now suddenly, all of my characters mana and satmina is reserved and it doesn't let me do any form of combat! And I've only bought the game within the past 2 weeks! If that!! It is an amazing game, but it's annoying when I can't do anything!!



So is there a reason for all of this to be happening?? Because my disk is perfectly fine.

You will need to complete an actual Problem Report.  Personally, I would suggest skipping what Victor suggested, and going with what Chris Priestley wrote, or Pacifien, as well, now pinned near the top of the two ME Tech forums.  Chris' outline is in ME-1, quoted by me, with mysef as "Author", although I am not, at least not strictly.

Hello,



I am having a problem with how my characters are shown in the game. All my characters show up completely black. There is no texture showing, not unique facial shapes, just a black shadow person. How can I fix it?
