Just like everyone else who ignores what is happening in plain sight:

Sirnotappearinginthisfilm wrote...

Blah, Blah, Blah (no useful information). "Any Fixes for this?"

And exactly how do ANY of you people expect anyone here to answer, if you give no useful information?   A year ago, when I checked the first 20 pages of this thread, I saw the same thing, but what I saw more of than anything else was complaints with no foundations at all, since they were caused by inadequate hardware:

Surely doesn't seem to me you need help much at all. It's all around you in here, but you apparently won't do anything to get it. Same as most of the other new arrivals here won't (and don't even respond to being prodded with sarcasm's very sharp stick; I'm guessing none of you place any value on this game after all, so it must've been a gift from someone whose shopping ability you have little respect for).

When / if you change your collective minds, you can create your own individual Problem Report messages containing the standard PC Tech problem information.

Can anyone help with this problem ?
I have used 4 days with EASupport  (count 10 emails and 9 livechats) now.

Bought Origins DVD last year and also some DLC - No problems with this.

Downloaded Origins Ultimate with Awakenings,  from Steam.
But found the error - unautorised content - for many games.
Contacted EA and they recomended their "unauthorised to play content error faq"
After this  - all old and new DLC, including awakenings, disappeared  from the Dragon Age game.
Tried all of the patches/changes they recomended, but with no joy.
Last night manually copied each DLC to my computer and unpacked them to Dragage game.
So all of the old DLC and some new was back (all unauthorised). But no awakenings.

Contacted EASupport again today. After a few hours nothing they suggested worked.
They convinced me to try their "unauthorised to play content error faq" again.
And again all DLC disappeared from the game.

Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated
Why are there no patches to solve what seems to be a common problem with, steam vista, codes?

have a great new year

hmmm i got this game as a gift, {etc, etc, no PC details} have a suggestion??

You will need to complete an actual Problem Report.  Personally, I would suggest skipping what Victor suggested, and going with what Chris Priestley wrote, or Pacifien, as well, now pinned near the top of the two ME Tech forums.  Chris' outline is in ME-1, quoted by me, with mysef as "Author", although I am not, at least not strictly.

Same thing, as many times as there are noobs or others who do not want to complete such reports.

uninstall it an re-install it, that will normally fix most problems like that

Now have it working! Summary; out of frustration bought another game on xmas sale through EA.com. With that game I had to install EADM and download newly purchased game. (backed up UDA:O save files) While in EADM I saw that all my other EA games (purchased elsewhere) magically appeared in EADM. I therefore, cleaned my hard drive (free up space), uninstalled UDA:O and checked for remnants of game by going through manual uninstall checklist. Then downloaded UDA:O through EADM for free, reinstalled. I will not click on patch 1.04 .exe this time, seems to mess it up. Yes I understand patch 1.04 is included in UDA:O. The only thing is that I had to start new game with new character. I start game every time by loading new character game, (to get game in memory) then exit. Then switch characters to backed up saved game, and load. Now I can resume play. All DLC is there and is active, but have not played any yet. I dont know if Adobe Air has anything to do with errors. Installing latest DX9c seems to help with graphics action smoothness. (other than using UDA:O included DX9c)
Thanks for help, and EADM

window XP SP3, 4gb ram, GTX460, creative x-fi sound, all updated updates

I'll file a complaint to EA. This is bullsh*t.

I've posted this in it's own thread, but I'll do it again here. I have the ultimate edition from steam, and the game seems to work fine. However, whenever I try to travel somewhere and I click the "wide open world" button, I just end up with an empty map with a grey square in the top left. The local map of ferelden works fine, so I can travel within there, but an empty world map is preventing me from progressing in the game.

Here are the links to screenshots of this bug (via picasa):

After 7 hours of non-stop frustration, I have finally been able to install the game after constantly getting the data error from CD installation. Its a long shot, but perhaps many of the problems being encountered are because your system is overclocked. My system was mildly overclocked but when I went to stock settings no more than 15 minutes ago, poof! My installation problems were gone.

Try stock CPU/RAM/etc settings and see if that alleviates the problems encountered.

I have several problems with DOA, I will try to explain all of them.
I have XP SP3, DOA Digital deluxe + Awakening, downloaded using EADM. Version 1.04. Have almost all DLCs excluding Witch hunt and those fest packs. All the problems have started when I bought and downloaded those DLCs.

1. AWC dll problem
http://img262.images...62/2976/awc.jpg
this is my least problem as the game can be run by running manualy EAcoreserver.exe and then daorigins.exe
but still its annoying. So the problem is that EAcoreserver.exe wont run by itself. The par file fix dont work. Any other fix around?

2. unable to connect to Dragon Age servers...
http://img25.imagesh...11011518450.jpg
exactly like all of the users in this topic explain
http://social.biowar...58/index/409827
this happens every 5-10 minutes, no matter if I am in the menu or in game. I use no FW/AV, have set my router with TCP/UDP with no luck.

3. The most annoying problem is the problem with unauthorised DLC. Whilst I checked these forums I saw that LOADS of people are having problems with this, Im wondering if Bioware cant just remove this feature in case they cannot fix it by patch?? This is getting on nerves for people who bought their DLC.
But to my troubles, I am having all these problems ever since I bought those DLCs and updated to 1.04, (because some of the DLC required this).
http://img163.images...11011518411.jpg
since I had last save at Sulcher's pass, it usually said that I dont have authorised GOA dlc or all of these like on the screen. But since I tried numerous useful hints and suggestions on these forums, my Awakening dissapeared and I cant even reinstal it without having to reinstall the whole game (with all the DLCs), which I really not intend to do 3rd time anymore.
Sometimes, when I log in and out for several times, the unauthorised message content is changed to just this
http://img524.images...11011519171.jpg

The service DAO Content updater is always started when I play the game. Tried as well to delete those XML files and the rest of the files/folders as suggested as well as other things that were supposed to help with no luck.

So what I am asking is simple:
1.how to reinstal Awakening without having to reinstal the whole DAO with all the DLC. The EADM appearently thinks it is installed offering me just the "play button". I mean the Awakening is physically installed, but by deleting those files which was suggested make the game feel its not really there.

2.how to stop this unauthorised DLC errors? I really cant load my saves which is annoying. Even if I start the game again with new character, the same would happen soon or later as I access the DLCs.

The only thing that I see is that you are allowing double the recommended amount of background processes and services to load at startup compared to what a game system should have.  Angband21 has gone to great length describing how he has managed to obtain acceptable game performance from a really old and obsolete PC he is stuck with.

You may want to review his message thread.  Getting the background process startup load down to something reasonable is a large part of what he has written about:

Finally solved the authorisation problem, I uninstalled the game completely, backing up characters folder and then uninstalled+deleted everything from harddrive related to DAO and Bioware, as well the folder in "my documents", then in registry deleted every single entry which contains word "Dragon Age" and "Bioware" (using ctrl+F helps, but I dont suggest this method for anyone who has other Bioware products installed). Then installed fresh copy of DOA+Awakening, restored the characters folder, installed 1.04 + DLCs. I didnt solve the AWC dll error problem, but at least I can now play the game finaly after long time :)

I suggest this awkward solution only for those, who deleted those XML files according to official faq and the game itself or Awakening got messed up completely, like in my case. For the rest, the "RequireAuthorization=0" solution might be much easier.

Windows XP Minimum Specifications
OS: Windows XP with SP3
CPU: Intel Core 2 Single (or equivalent) running at 1.6Ghz or greater
AMD 64 (or equivalent) running at 2.0Ghz or greater
RAM: 1 GB or more
DVD ROM (Physical copy)
20 GB HD space
Video: ATI Radeon X850 256MB or greater (this is clearly wrong)
NVIDIA GeForce "6600 GT" 128MB or greater (and this one is more wrong)

(Note: IMO, the practical choices for the two video cards above should be the Radeon X800 Pro, and the Geforce 6800 GS, at least, for small textures - it will take a Radeon X1650 XT (or X1800 GTO, same thing, almost) for medium or better textures)

INTEL'S GARBAGE (Graphics Chip) IS NOT SUPPORTED

There are still too many complaining about problems when it is the hardware that isn't good enough, and almost no one wants to follow the reporting procedures:

Hey ,

I bought the ultimate edition from steam some days ago and i keep getting problems over and over.

In the first place i some how keep d/c every 10 min from the logging in on the EA/bioware account , since i got authorized problems with the DLC it would make sense that this has to do with the D/C .

Thanks to the forums i fixed this problem while changing the script of authorized *1*0* replacements.

However i got again a new problem and that is that it says: unable to load module , what does this means? and how to fix this?

I tryed several things and somehow i just cant find the problem to fix it .

1. Re-fresh install.

2. Script changing for author online.

3. downloaded the DLC manualy and installed them.

4. Checked and re-installed the updater

Some back up: My modem/router isnt the problem with the D/C's .

Greetz , MC
