[Harmzway]

Bought PC game retail yesterday and it will not load, I hit play, get a splash screen, then a black screen on the transition. Updasted video drivers, checked directx, Nvidia 9800 GT card, reinstalled twice, no luck. Any ideas.

Game will run for 5-15 minutes then the computer crashes.

Can anyone help me. I have just loaded my game that was working fine and then my charecters just stoped using tactics and the display of what they were doing went away on the top left corner above there avatars. on top of it they would not even draw weopons in a fight unless i commanded them and when they died kept respawning? any help would be appriciated. Thank you. PS i just dl'ed the tool kit.

no, thats not it I even went back on other saves and the same result, I tried starting a new game and it said unable to load module, dunno? they would only attack if i clicked on them to and then only attacked once.

OK first things first. Another awesome game by bioware, good job guys. However... I am having some serious crash issues. Ran the game for the first day with no problems at all. Now I am getting some random crashes. It usually happens right after I load a saved game. I dont get any error messages the whole system just crashes. It just goes to a black screen. Sometimes I can still hear the soundtrack playing in the background. I can't alt tab to the desktop I have to do a hard restart. (hold the pwr button for 6 secs)

This crash also happens:

- In the middle of conversations
- just before combat starts
- just after getting into a new area. Honnleath to be specific (This happend a lot in that area)
- transitions from gameplay to conversations
- transitions from conversations to gameplay

However if I start a new character I usually dont see this crash until after lothering.

I'm not sure what version my video drivers are. I will update them when I get home from work tonight. Hopefully this will fix the issue. Will post on that later.

Asus Crossfire Board
ATI 3850
4 gb OZC ram
250 GIG Maxtor HDD (SATA)
AMD Atholon 64 x2 5000+

Bought Steam version for 50Euro... After updating to 1.0.1 The Stone Prisoner and The Warden keep DLCs became Unautherized so I decided ti re-install the game(Not the best idea in retrospect) and now there is NO Downloadable content in any of the 3 tags Available,Downloading and Downloaded

I created a dwarven warrior and I've already activated the Blood Dragon Armor (it was in my inventory). However after I ran through the starting storyline when I came to the scene where you are attempting to join the grey wardens all my equipment including my blood dragon armor was gone. Does anyone know of any way to get that back?

Yes dwarven nobles lose all their equipment once they're sent to the Deep Roads (After their falling from grace). Try disabling and re-enabling the DLC to see if you get it back.

Game will crash occasionnaly to window (With a window Error box Popping) .. It's annoying .. So i basicly have to save every 10 -15 minutes in case .. Which's quite annoying..

It's can get very choppy over time on my computer..
Sometime it's run fine .. Sometime not

Also it's happenned ONCE but ... Moriggan avatar was completly dark (The portait) ..

My guess it's a memorry thing.. Because this game load a lot..

Is there any fix for this ? I'm playing on max setting without any chopynness ..Than it's either start to get choppy of all of a sudden or the game crash back to window.

Sometime i can play for 3 hours straight without any problem..

Right now it's just crashed and i did not save for a good 35 minutes.So i was .. hmm pissed since i have to do all of this again.

It's seem to be a memory LEAK problem ... i think anyway
Is that possible?

Well you're in the same boat has me...It's probably a memory LEAK problem .. it's does not matter how much ram you have with this kind of problem..Imo it's generally happens more in video game with a lot of LOADING screen (It's also used to happens a lot in NWN 1 back in the day) .. It's also happenned a lot in Age of CONAN ..

They need to fix this.

YOU NEED nvidea's 1.4 fan control and crank it up ,your video card is overheating and get "Gamebooster" it's free ... and get a 4gig flashdrive, run it on readyboost...

On the PS3 version, just defeated the Sloth Demon, game freezes on loading to start next part. Has happened 5 times so far. This is simply unacceptable. No other issues on any other game. It is only in this spot on THIS game because the bugs are horrible. I am amazed at the amount of bugs in this game, it is being discussed on every game board online. Never again will I buy a Bioware/EA game at launch. This sucks.

Ok I'm in the midst of installing new video drivers. I really don't think that this is going to fix the issue but we'll see. I sure would like to see something from bioware on the crash issue.

I have none of the DLC installed. Though I think it is any issue with the online content/connection. When I disable my network adapter and beat the guy again, the game crashes to the main PS3 screen, basically a PS3 version of CTD.

ok that didnt fix it. so i'm going to reinstall the game and not dload and of the dlc see if thats creating the issue.

Anyone getting nothing after clicking on PLAY? I was able to get in before ( had not started a new game yet ) and downloaded the latest patch. After that, clicking on PLAY does nothing except disable the PLAY button

My game keeps rejecting my DLC, I launch up the game and it will minamize to tell me that DAupdatersvc.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close, il look at the DLC and one will say Unauthorized, then it will continue to minamize and say the same thing, that it has encountered a problem and needs to close, each time saying that one more DLC is unauthorized, It seems to fix itself if I relaunch it 3 or 4 times, I have the game on steam and am always make sure im connected to it before I launch the game, Is this something that will be patched out eventually or do I need to do something to stop it from happening?

Just re-installed the game on PS3. Same issue. I highly doubt it is a bad disc, but I guess I can exchange it tomorrow. Another evening of not being able to play. I may just return it and get MW2, this game is not worth the headache and Bioware/EA seem 100% unable or unwilling to address the issues.

I have a problem with DA. The game works fine, but I can't login in game. I can login using my e-mail and password on the DA site, and here for that matter, but in main game screen I get an error message saying wrong password. When I try to reset the password by clicking the forgot password link, it says e-mail sent, but I don't get any e-mails....suggestions anyone?
