hey have any of u gottena problem after the install the patch 1.04 the game starts drag and hang basically moves ver very very slowly is there a way u to get around it

Hi, i played origins on my computer. When suddenly my computer crashed.(I were not playing origins during the crash) Origins is installed on my external HDD, but when i start the game then i can't load my game. It is like the save file just vanished.

Why is that? I re - installed windows 7 on my computer. So why can't i play my old saves?

Game saves are not stored with the game's own files, but with your personal documents, wherever you have those set up.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this error message when attempting to open the game? This is the EADM version of Ultimate.

Game Launch Error:
There is a problem with your game's setup. Please reinstall your game.

I have reinstalled several times, reinstalled EADM and redownloaded the game, deleted registry files and uninstalled, then rebooted and ran EADM as Admin. Nothing so far has worked. I'm able to open the launcher directly from the DA:O folder, and open the config menu, but as soon as I hit "Play", I get that message.

This all started when I mistakenly tried to patch to 1.04 to fix DLC authorization issues (which I now know is obviously unnecessary for Ultimate), and ever since I've been unable to get it working.

Any help appreciated!

This is getting ridiculous, first I downloaded the 1.04 patch for my store bought DAO, that slowed down the video of the game for some reason, so I uninstalled it, haven't re-installed 1.04 yet, but then on top of that, I buy Awakening today, and for some reason I put in the Serial number from the back of the booklet, and afterwards it installs the 1.03 patch then continues to go to install, then constantly comes up saying installation failed. Can someone please help me out here, I'm running 64 bit edition of Windows 7 Home Premium

Just a quick question. I have the original version of DA Origins and I want to save my characters and import them into the expanded version I purchased with Awakenings included. Where do I go to get these files?

Just wondering, has EA stopped all DAO support?  I just tried to follow the official link in the first post and can only get a DA2 support page.  Even the DAO link at the bottom just loops back to the DA2 page?

I'm trying to resolve a now constant save game load crash that just started this week after playing fine all the way to Denerim.  Got to play several hours last night after using some fixes suggested here but now as soon as I play this AM, same save game, crash as soon as it starts to load the save.

I can start a NEW game fine.  But can't load a previous save.

Looks like I have a temp fix. Had some link issues with the updater service. I set it back to manual in services and checked my firewall and so far it is back up in game at least.

I got a strange problem. I bought digital version of DAO and i deinstalled it after finishing the game. Prior to that i bought, and played DLC - Stone Prisoner and Wardens Keep, two gift packs.. Now, when i reinstalled the game my DLC are lost and i am unable to download them from in-game menu or in any other way.

Any solution? They just disapeared.

hi im trying to get the additional contenet in the game that came with it,, it says to log into my acc in game and it will download it ..but when i try to log in i just get a system error mess and says try again later .. ?

Hahn, have you checked your memory? It may be low and you will have to free up memory for the game to run. Also, not a bad idea to 'Defragment Disk' either, and while your at it, dump whatever files your NOT using into a folder because you might need one or 2 later. Or as it states, "CLean Disk." Do it and schedule it to clean and defrag early in the am when your not on so it'll be ready for you later.

My problem has been coming into Awakening and hearing the Darkspawn, but not running into any with Mhairi. (Except during the intro) By the time I get to Oghren, he's standing there like a bump on a log...useless to me.

I have a problem. Ever since I finished Awakening my Dragon Age: Origins has started crashing for no reason. It was perfect before I finished Awakening but now something has changed.

My specs;

Motherboard: P5P43TD
Graphic card: Gigabyte 470GTC DDR5 - latest non beta drivers
Ide samsung dvd drive - latest update
Creative sound card 24 bit live - updated
E8500 core2duo
4 gigs ddr3 1333 ram - want to get 8gigs
750 watt power supply - can't remember name - looking to get a coolermaster

I sue windows 7 ultimate 64bit. I updated to service pack 1 and the game ran fine and then it started crashing after a while. Some of the problems came from Morrigan casting the vulnerability hex spell. Others are random. I had been using the latest patch for 3 months with no problems yet now since I finally completed Awakening it crashes quite often. It did this without my creative sound card so its not that. Any help would be nice as I do want to play Awakening again. Otherwise I be using the game with only 1.02a patch.

hey guys can anybody tell me how i can use my earned points for downloadable content? Like when i click on my player profile it shows my total points:400 and all the achievments but as soon as i click on downloadable content it shows my total points: 0....i dont get it. Is it even possible to use the points you earn from the game? Any help is appreciated greatly! Thanks.

It don't work anymore.  I built a new computer and installed the game on it.  Now everytime I try to start it, it tells me there is no disk.  Any ideas?

Dragon Age Origin's (PC).
1. I'm unable to load any of my saved games ... error indicates I must log in as the user who originally downloaded premium content. (I am logged in as the original user).
2. I also was able to locate an error that stated the Dragon Age Server is not available.
3. How do I bypass this requirement to finish my game?

I'm in the last battle... would like to finish my game...

I never realized there was a problem. I've been TEARING my hair out trying to play my Ultimate Edition I got off of Steam since it was 40 bucks (10 more than Origins alone).

Well I hope it gets fixed soon. I want to kill some more darkspawn.

So I can't load my saved games when the Server is down. You have got to be kidding me. I have one charater using DLC, the other one is not and I can not open either saved game. This really makes me irrated that I can't play my game when they have a problem. I assume I can't play any of the DLC logged out?

oh my dear, it seems that I am not the only one with some problems...since yesterday I tried it for nothing to play my last savegame...Always I got the message that I should log in with my correct account but I did nothing else,I was not able to redownload my latest dlcs like Stone Prisoner, Blood Dragon Armor. The Return to Ostagar dlc is shown as not authorized. All mods I installed are shown and now I saw that I had started with the origianl version 1.0 as there was no automatic updating like in some other games or such else. I own the DAO Digital Deluxe Edition from Gammersgat UK but now I can do nothing even no new game, thats frustrating as I even bought DA II but not Awakening...now I assume that they have some main problem with their servers as I read here. I had until now not any message that I has no access to their servers as I got the status message I have been logged in...so I do not know what has really happened...
In my old days with WOW I had never such a problem gotten like here...If EA want some satisfied customers they should do really their best to get these problems solved in time...But it seems that the main problem is that you cannot play this game offline because no dlc will be made available this way....*sigh* so I will look for some other games from some concurrents if possible which will be playable like in former days without any online accessing...
