According to my game with kouzrah yesterday, the GT with a Typhoon can outscore the GPS GI.

GI with a Hurricane, Piranha, Talon, Javelin, Harrier, BW, PPR, Reegar
QME with Harrier.

Talon Merc with LOLCainMines who needs weapons.
Vanilla Human Adept with Talon or Acolyte.
Drell Adept with Harrier, Hurricane, etc.

But when it comes to those kind of comparisons it is not really fair. One player might be better at the game then another player, so doing a "duo" to compare is more about the individual skill of the player rather then the character/weapon combination. The only fair way to try it out is to try it yourself and compare it to other combinations that you try yourself, and that's exactly what I've done.

Seeing as both Cain and Max are way better players than I am, I think it is a great testament to the GI GPS when I(!) can use it and top the scoreboard with quite the margin.

I've tried it all, and when I compare the things I've tried nothing beats this 

Yes, I can vouch for your GPS GI.
But I thought I joined your games for fun yesterday and not to find out if I can outscore your GPS GI.
So saying it's a testament to the GPS GI that you topped the scoreboard is...interesting.

I have no interest in competing with anyone. I have never "competed" against another player in this game and I have no intention of doing so. We already know that "comparing" is not valid in a game like this since there are too many variables during a match, it is just not possible. And even if it was possible I would still not have any kind of interest in doing so since that is not why I play this game.

Cain, you should be smarter than this. If you kept reading in this thread you would see what I meant with my post as I had to explain it to Max too. He knows that's not what I meant and so should you.

EDIT: I still would like to play with you though ZAE, not to compete but just because I would like to play with as many BSN members as possible before retiring this game. I know you're a good player and it would be very fun to see you in action

dumdum's GPS GI is pretty good the two times I've seen it but to be fair to my e-ppen I was sub par platinum characters with some lag, but he seems to know that gun well. Personally I like the Piranha best on the GI, Javelin a close second and lolhurricane is my third fave on the GI.

You're just a way better player than I am buddy. Even if we were just playing for fun and you had a subpar kit you still rocked everything you played. I can only compare what I play to my own results. For instance I really like the Piranha on the GI too, and I adore the Harrier, Claymore, Wraith and the Typhoon on that class. Yet my best solo and team results has always been with the GPS on this character.

I also have to account for the fact that I'm playing on host when I compare these builds and weapons

It is possible that the GPS just works well in a team scenario for you I know when you and I were tag teaming on the enemies they died quick, and I've tried to replicate your results and I couldn't do it but Brutes did die really fast.

Yes, but not only in team but in solos as well from my own experience. For instance the GPS with Disruptor IV against Geth on Gold is just ridiculous (Disruptor against Cerberus kicks ass too), and put Warp Rounds or Incendiary Rounds against Reapers and everything die really fast.

Another thing is that when we played together I wasn't playing my best at all, I was really not in the "zone" so to speak. I would love to tag team like we did last time when I'm really in that zone (which I usually am unless I'm tired), because knowing how good you are at this game we would just annihilate everything together. I've never had the opportunity to play with players of this caliber before, and I find it a lot of fun

Hmm I see how you make sure to lower yourself at the level of trash before better players. You do this repeatedly throughout this thread. Things like "Forgive me" just raises red flags to me. There's no reason to ask for forgiveness or to put yourself so low before anyone here. Will they do that for you? I highly doubt it. It's almost as though your ego pops up then when it's confronted you retract like a turtle in a shell with profuse apologies, kiss talk and self talk-down. That's what I can see from most of your replies thus far.

Also, GPS GI was my go to setup until i got the talon and the piranha.

Talon deals with mooks and bosses just as easily and phantoms haven't been too big a problem.
Piranha for more CQC maps.

javelin too sometimes but im Terribad at it.

I don't know, this is the Internet after all and people tend to forget that they are actually talking to human beings here. I am a nice guy and I've always been, I was raised to respect other people and not to think of myself as being better than anyone else. I also like a lot of irony and sarcasm, and in the past that was what I used to post on this forum and I thought everyone enjoyed it. I later learned that people actually got offended by it so I immediately stopped my trolling here and everytime I seem to step on someones toes I will apologize for it, because that is never my intention.

I have enough strength in my character to be able to swallow my pride and say I'm sorry whenever I can't get my message through and someone gets offended. I see no problem with that. It's weird that apologizing and trying to end conflicts diplomatically in todays society is frowned upon.

People think that this was an ego thread and something I created so I could say that I'm score who*ing. But that's not true. In every match I ever play I always try to revive my teammates and I'm always the first one to try and do the objectives (like pizza and devices). If I indeed was trying to outscore people I would never focus that much on revives and objectives. You can ask anyone who has ever played with me about that and they would say that I only play for fun and nothing else.

So from my point of view, usually it is the people that actually cares about score that starts arguing when someone says that he/she managed to outscore them. If someone outscores me I couldn't care less, seriously it is not my teammates that I'm playing against is it? The only reason why I used score as a reference in the beginning of this thread was because even though I'm a worse player I could still score really high with the GI GPS, it was a testament to the class/weapon combination itself and not about me as a player.

If you can aim it, Graal is ridiculous. But you need a good AT weapon, as Graal for some reason don't do that much damage vs armor, even tough it should, as it's a projectile weapon with the power of the Claymore.

Edit - but there is a lot of other things that can outscore a GI with GPS.

Why does everyone keep thinking that "top" means "outscore"?

I've explained in this thread that it is not only about the score you get in a match, it is about the highs and the lows of the character/weapon combination and how the gap between its highs and lows are less than with basically any other kit. It is more versatile and can handle a lot more situations.

Gold or plat/cerb or geth..... i agree this combo is mighty effective, reapers/collectors, not so much.

GPS excells in dealing high damage in an instant especially with the double tap method on infiltrators, this helps it deal with humanoids very easily as the dont have very high hit points.....but it fails to maitain a high enough sustained DPS agains non humanoids as they all have huge HP bar maybe the ravager.

Even the GI cant generate enough sustained DPS which is essential for fighting multiple bosses to combat better than the pirahna, harrier etc

Hence GI GPS can murder cerberus/ geth in gold almost godly but may have difficulty in other situations

It is amazing against Collectors and Reapers too (remember that we are still talking on host).

As you can see it can deal with all factions. I have a ton of gameplay videos on my channel with the GI GPS and I've played with it enough to know that my performance on Gold and Platinum can never be higher than with this character/weapon combination. For me that's just a fact. I've tried all of the weapons on this class and they have all fallen short (albeit only slightly in some cases) comparing to this.
