Been thinking about buying the trilogy on ps3. When I researched the game further I saw a few threads about the game freezing. Does this happen a lot?

No not really only happened to me a couple times towards the end....I thought it ran good IMO..

Yes it is that good and probably better. I just started playing it on the PS3 and haven't had any freezes and i am just finished my first trip to the citadel.
