This isn't a rant against Bioware, but I was looking at the Dr Pepper promotion and just thought to myself...we don't get Dr Pepper down here. It's understandable that we don't get the promotion down here (being Australian and all, we get kinda used to it) but is there some plan for us to recieve the codes somehow? Or do we get to miss out on the DLC altogether.

And I don't want to sound all that desperate but if things don't work out down here would anyone here who stocks up on Dr Pepper regardless of the promotion and has a spare code to throw my way then I would greatly appreciate it :P.

I think we miss out on the DLC.

EA seems to have started a whole chain of content with Dr. Pepper (Think it's for games like Spore too... at least I heard someone complain that they have been asking for robotic parts for ages and you can now get that with Dr. Pepper).

You're looking at it the wrong way. They're giving out a couple of helmets in a video game. This is hardly worth getting angry at.

I just think the DLC front generates a lot of overreaction. Not you necessarily, just the topic. Not having a "Kewl Visor" is not going to detract from my enjoyment of ME2

Unfortunately there is little to be done about these little exclusives. The more important ones (characters, locations) seem to be far easier to get. But certain equipment...we're at a loss!

Ah I did not know that this was so trivial, I thought it could have been something as substantial as an extra character. But you never know what else could be on offer. I'm just kinda crazy about ME2 atm I want to get as much of the experience as I can. I mean I finished ME1 18 times. Hoping it kind of makes this a little more understandable.

Hmm I'm sure people are going to trade their extra and unwanted Dr. Pepper codes online. Couldn't hurt to donate some codes to our game playing buddies down under.

What sucks more is that in the UK we do get Dr. Pepper, and indeed it's my favourite soft drink, yet this promotion only applies in North America.

Wrong.

Canadians don't get it as well, it's only for americans.

This is true, Dave of Canada speaks the truth. Would be nice for each country to have certain promotions other countries dont get... maybe a bit of a stretch, but would be cool and decent of them. Whats even stranger is that bioware's main base of operation is based in Edmonton, we all know is in our country. So why the hell do us canadians not get some special promotion

I'm just saying, you would think we would get other promotions other countries wouldn't get

...A new character? For buying a Dr Pepper?

Yeah...I think your expectations were set a little high.

I'm sure once the codes are able to be actually used for the special ME2 items, it won't be too long before a thread is made here giving away extra codes to the those in the north, across the pond, or on super strict island. I can't imagine there being anything but an excess amount of usable codes here.
:wizard:

I happen to enjoy Dr. Pepper and every place I've looked seems to be carrying the promotional bottles right now, so I may end up with a few...extra codes

I'm in the same boat. I've checked the stores and the local 7-11s here in Boston, MA. No one has anything regarding the promotion.

They're currently going for around $9 in Buy-It-Now auctions on eBay. I figure they'll become cheaper as more people get the cans and the idea to sell the codes. I dunno what the DLC for the other games is, but $9 for an ME2 helmet? I can't believe anyone would pay that.

or get to know an American friend whom likes Dr. Pepper and may be willing to drink a few extra ones for you and provide the codes for you - which I am already doing for a few of the non whiners around here.
