Happy One-Year Anniversary (6/26) to the release of the Extended Cut.
Now go tell all your friends to download it while the price is still zero for another 10 months

Honestly, the whole IT speculation and wait for the EC was some of my most exciting moments on any forum! ... Bioware did their best, it wasn't perfect, but I'm happy

Poor extended cut, it never really had a chance.

But it tried, I guess that's something...

what still gets me is the fact that Bioware could not see that the original ending had lots of things wrong with it prior to release. I mean who authorised it for gods sake? Then we got the EC and instead of answering questions it raised even more questions.

bizarre.

They fixed what they could, and they did it for free. So thanks, BW.

I'll celebrate more on the anniversary of the Citadel DLC, though.

1 year ago I also saved 10 percent on my car insurance by switching to GEICO. I was in such a grandiose mood, then I played the "extended" cut and I had the sh!ts for a week. That thing gave me stage 5 diarrhea.

Yeah I remember I went in spoiler free. I actually felt sad telling Vega to go back on the ship, and I instantly noticed the Catalyst's music was different but I still actually gasped when the dialogue wheel popped up. I honestly never expected him to record more lines, I thought his actors voice might have broken seeing as though he sounds close to that age.

I remember thinking it was amazing that they made An End Once and For All - Extended Cut, and especially that they had fixed the end of that song, the only part that was keeping me from considering it to be one of the best songs I've heard in media. I remember actually smiling as Vega, Mordin and Anderson appeared in my final flashback, and even feeling shocked when the Husk gained awareness. When EDI hugged Liara, and when the Normandy flew off, I honestly felt glad that Bioware created this and even forgave the Retake movement, slightly, for bringing this about.

Yeah, going in spoiler free to that was one of the best experiences in gaming I've had.

How did you get Vega in a flashback?

There's more green than the other two. Synthesis conspiracy!

Yes, one year since I trudged over to youtube and saw vids of what they had "clarified", only to confirm my disappointment that they hadn't fixed a damn thing and their "changes" only brought more questions that were never going to get answered. It was like the reception at a funeral, a little fun but inappropriately so.

It did solidify control for me. If I had to be stuck with an RGB option, might as well take the one that makes me a pseudo-god. Bioware doesn't give a **** about their universe why should I? I liked the Control speech, even if it was too heavy-handed on the whole "babysit the galaxy" bit.

Happy anniversary to the end of my buying anything more from BioWare!  But also happy anniversary to multiplayer mode, which cost me nothing more and had several great downloads, and became a better game than ME3 single player ever was.

Go Montreal!  :wizard:

I'm pretty sure this is determined by how frequently you interact with a specific character. I started going through all of EDI's dialogue, and she now shows up as part of the flashback during the ending sequence. Curiously enough, if she shows up in the flashback, she does not appear when Hackett's speech gets to the part of those who died along the way to get to the end.

Are we talking about the flashback right before the Crucible fires?
