I love the venom. In single player it's godly.
I've used it the Krogan Battlemaster when I was doing his waves challenge. The gun is pretty nice, but it does need more aiming. To charge or not to charge?

I like aiming the charged shots right by enemies cover, so that the shrapnel part goes behind it and hits them. Also I've noticed that if you fire a charged shot, you can quickly fire a regular shot after it. Although that might just have been my head thinking that.

My new favorite build is the Devastator Mode-less Destroyer. My stagger has stagger on top of its stagger. Chews up Cerberus platinum, phantoms and goons just get owned.

i still don't have the Venom Q.Q
i wanna run the staggermaster pretty badly tho.

Confirmed: the DM-less Destroyer is amazing with the Venom.

I still have to try it out. Leland insisted that I give it a shot sometime. Did you use it on Gold or Platinum?

OT: It's amazing on the Krogan Soldier. Aside from him, I've only used it on a few other kits: SI, SE and BatSol (w/out inferno nades though).

For the DM-less Destroyer: I only used it on Gold for now.

Right now the Decoy-less SE (with Venom of course) is my favourite Platinum build. It's so good.

I don't get it - why is the Venom so popular on the SE?  Is it just that people want to find a fun build with the SE?  Because I don't see any particular synergy that you can get by using the Venom on the SE that you can't get by using it on any number of other classes.

Tech-explosions and survivability thanks to ED. If you also use the Decoy, you can let enemies gang up around it and just carpet bomb them with the Venom.

For me, it is just role-playing, really. But it works well, I almost finished a Platinum solo with that setup today (got to wave 10, sync-killed because of a stupid mistake, but I still had 6 waves survived).
