I saw this last night and have been following developments -- still a lot of rumors, but I agree that it looks ominous. I commented on my blog (NWN Vault Down) and will start taking steps to migrate my module pages and the relevant downloads to the new Neverwinter Vault.

It could be worth noting I have a 4shared premium account that can hold 100GB of data. It's probably not enough for everything in the vault, but it can hold a substantial amount of it I'm sure. I currently only use about 5 gigs of that storage for my various backup files(which includes quite coincidentally the 1.69 update XD. I noticed ignvault kept being buggy and I worried should I install nwn ever again I would be incapable of updating to 1.69 so I downloaded it from the vault and stuck it on my 4shared account >.>). Given the situation of the loss of ignvaults downloads I'll likely place the nwnx files I got from the vault in it as well. Should anyone need one of these feel free to contact me and I will give you a link to download it from the site.

So, I bought NWN last night after seeing it on sale. I'd been thinking about getting it for the past few days, I'd checked out the IGN vault, and seeing all those mods made me think that this should be a lot of fun despite its age. I DLed the game last night after buying it, woke up this morning and after installing it, I tried to pull up the IGN vault. Yeah.

Worst timing ever.

Give me a few days, and will have access again. ( probably first for all the modules via Never Launcher as i am just missing a button, have to do an interface for the rest of the content, and we are migrating the http://neverwintervault.org as well )

Was hoping it would still give me more time.

Guys if you need help in anything regarding setting up vault backups let me know. I'm specially concerned about Scripts part, so I'll try to do what I can to support.

How rude and disrespectful to the community for IGN to shut it down without notice or coordination. Someone over there should be brought to task for this.

As someone else said, just the DNS is deleted. Perhaps temporary, you can add this line to your C:\\Windows\\System32\\drivers\\etc\\hosts file to see the nwvault. The site is not deleted!

Bummer. I'll have to update my PW forum and website with the new link to your 1.69 patches page. Should I use the .org or .net address? What's your preference?

As in here: http://neverwintervault.org/patches

We're scraping the vault. If you can help, hop onto irc for instructions. Mostly, bandwith is needed.

Thanks for confirming @KevL, I guess it's just my job network setup then :( ~ I'll have to wait till getting home to check out and save several stuff on the vault before it's too late.

If you use Never Launcher ( which is how I am doing things for the new vault by the way )

You can opt to download and not delete the file, if we do not have it on the API it will update it too. You can do this to get a copy onto your own system if you wish. ( it can scrape entire ranges of projects, or a single section and id )

( and you'd be helping ensure the data is in the API which gets us that much further in making this actually work )

<it's ally in the name...>

Both neverwintervault.org and neverwintervault.net map to the new Vault.

Org is the prefered extension, as this is a non-profit, community supported site.

Confirmed here too. Adding the above to the hosts file allows me access to the site again.

Vault 2.0 is up and running. People are working as quickly as possible on getting all the stuff converted to the new site (they already have all of it except things posted this week). Stop in, say hi!
