Weird thing is are people posting in this thread not disappointed that the game lost developer support even if a lot of glitches that have been there since launch still happen?

I'm definitely disappointed by it.

But, there's not much that can be done about it, now. I prefer to focus on other things. Like getting good with the Widow, and I'm almost there! :wizard:

You're pointing out bugs that Biower will no longer fix, for what reason? Are you expecting them to suddenly start supporting the game again just because you made this thread? If so, I think I'll be flying around on a jetpack by the time that happens.

Smell gas? Locate the suspected leak by striking an ordinary match in every room in the house until a loud explosion reveals the source of the escaping gas.

I approve of this derail.

As a a quack nurse I don't support this train of thought nor the lighting of matches near suspected gas leaks. Symptoms of such behaviour will cause: Burning, Loss of material property, Loss of limbs or use of limbs and of course Death.

Oh and Jeremiah Sproinger.

All I want is people to admit that bugs do bother them and being left with no dev support was a bad move by Bioware. Maybe we'll get longer dev support in the next game.

I created a thread about the batarian vanguard yesterday (which unfortunatly turned into a flame war for some reason?) never the less, it illustrated how many bugs he has such as: a human vanguards charge voice (not a bug per say but downright lazy development), his charges fourth evolution has power synergy which is borderline useless and probably should have had melee synergy instead, blade armours damage returned is allegedly bugged too! There's so many bugs in this game it's unreal but the game is still the best multiplayer game ever created (in my opinion). I heard somewhere that the multiplayer aspect was more of a beta/tester in anticipation for ME4 which ultimately proved to be very popular. I still can't believe support was dropped from it in its current state. The support for TF2 and starcraft is incredible and as a result those games are still massively popular!

I fear you could easily beat us all in this contest if you tried Ziegrif.

Completely agree with your final point.

I remember this being the sentiment ~4 months ago.

I don't think people's opinions on that have changed; just nobody's vocal about it because we're talking to nobody but ourselves here.

Bethesda doesn't ban people who fix their bugs for them.

Well yeah but at the same time they can only support things for so long. At the same time, while we were wanting bugs fixed we were also wanting new content made. They can only do so much. And flat out some of the irksome bugs that weren't particularily game breaking were too expensive or time consuming to fix.

If BW still did support the game which would you rather have though, a few bugs fixed or new content at this point?

Who have they banned for modding something that was broken?

Well if you mod the MP on ME3, you get banned.
And a load of other things.

This bothers me a lot.
Especially now that it's harder to contact BW employees.
I remember asking BroJo a long time ago if the Cabal Javelin glitch was a bannable offense and I never got an answer. We really don't have an outlet to pour our thoughts and minds to. There is no leave suggestions and feedback board anywhere which we should bloody well have.

A place we could leave our thoughts and which was moderated heavily and anything inflammatory was removed immediately and teh devs could read directly what we thought with no toxicity allowed to be put into suggestions.

But alas I ahve no idea where to actually put that suggestion as you guessed it we don't have a link to the devs.
It took me 3 months and a huge number of Gold solos to understand fully just where we stand now and how ME3 will eventually end. No last hurrah, just a whimper with all the bugs.

Makes me kinda sad.

Have they banned Riccoshot or Annomander? I haven't heard if they have.

I know the fix for the Talon merc wasn't exactly discouraged by devs. I just think they can't have an official stance endorsing modding because of the potential for abuse. A lot easier to legally outline it in black and white than to have several grey areas but I think enforcement has a few grey areas.

That is one loud laugh.

I think I can hear ''HUSK MOOD YU UP 'FIRRIT?!'' in there somewhere amongst the drunken laughter.

Annomander has 100% ban resist.
The stuff he gets away with...I swear.

And a game with lolbansheepls is not the same as doing major bug fixes.
Otherwise why would the PC players complain when they can do something about it?

Go for it.
Starting to see more and more just how big of a buggy mess this game is.
Especially when a ravager went and took me out from full health and shields to nil with a sack break.

The reason other games like TF2 and longstanding MMOs are still alive and well is because they still have developer support.

Developer support is one of the biggest ways to reach success.
It's too late and all that jazz but... I'm starting to see more and more just how broken the game is.
Course that's just the more you pour time into a game the more you see glitches here and there.

I posted a video on this 6 months back, bioware never responded (regarding the near instant death with teh ravager).

That sack break is the very reason why I never EVER again will Shadow Strike a Ravager D:.

If somethings broken you fix it before adding something new and breaking it again.
Common sense. And bug fixes can unlock something new to people aswell like when they fixed the Vanguard glitch or the Falcon lag issue opening those options for off host play.

More importantly with enough time things will be fixed and intrest will always be renewed when you add something new.

Have you looked at Team Fortress 2?
TF2 was released in 2007 and still has dev support, mod support you name it.
It also got a new game mode, co-op to be precise, pretty late into its life.
And it's wildly successful. ME3 had that potential a lot of MP games have had that potential the same as TF2.
But it can easily be extinguished as has happened to us.

I agree with what you're saying but this is EA, the most myopic, money wh0re to ever utter the words "integrity".

They are all about the up front cash then on to the next cash cow. They're kind of like a plague of locusts when you think about it.

Yet there are signs of hope.
Removing the Online pas and not going back on it when MS announced they were ditching DRM is one part of a glimmer of hope.

Remember FUSE that was once Overstrike?
When it released it entered the UK list at around 37.
When Insomniac and EA rebranded overstrike this was inevitable.
With enough sales failures like Dead Space 3 that was just over budgeted and FUSE the investors of EA will start wondering just what the hell are the execs doing.

Eventually they will have to start looking at long term money making routes to actually get things done. Smart investors should start to ask EAs execs questions like ''This is going to make me money now but what about a few years from here?''.

Eventually there just won't be anywhere to go and then if they're smart they'll start imitating the ones who are successful like Valve which they already have started to do with Origin. (And yes I am completely weirded out that I actually used Origin as a positive, may Odin have mercy upon my soul when I enter Valhalla.)

Say what now? Also, bans are utterly irrelevant at this point in the game. Dev support is nonexistent, bans seemingly don't happen anymore and even if you do get banned, so what? There's nothing you'll be missing but the same old bugs and no new content. Go nuts.
