I've killed Taorin Hawkwind as part of the A Change in Leadership
quest but it won't update in my journal. It still says I have to kill
him and I can't collect my reward. I'm in between the Landsmeet and the
Final Battle and this is the only sidequest I've still to complete.
Dragon Age Wiki says it should take a while for it to register so I
should travel to the campsite multiple times but I've tried this dozens
of times. I've also tried wandering around the world map in case I
actually haven't killed him yet but mostly I just get encounters with
Old Tegrin.

I'm playing the Ultimate Edition on PC v1.05.

You should finish all your quests as Redcliffe becomes unavailable after the landsmeet. Specifically only the mages collective, some chanters board quests, blackstone irregulars, favors for interested parties quests are really affected.
Basically the point of no return is reporting to Eamon after completing the Alienage

I feel sure that quest is bugged. Doesn't show up for most of the time at all. So unless you have an earlier save you want to go back and try again you're probably stuck..

I just don't like having an uncompleted quest when I've done every other side quest in the game that I can do, but it seems like there's nothing I can really do about it. Oh well, I don't suppose it really matters.
