That Infidrell game play looks like fun. Use of venom would allow me to max the nades for the first time, hmmm... Pugs have already felt the Batsol stagger machine so why not Infidrell

Infidrell is crazy with the Recon Mine and the Split Hominng Grenades. You should definitely try it, I'm pretty sure you'll like it.
Alright, I HAVE to go to sleep now

Soldier power build-(i use as a cryo soldier most of the time)
AR for damage, duration, shield
con shot for radius,shatter, shredder
Nades for damage, shaprel i think. either will work
passives rank 4 power, shields at rank 4 as well
Asari Vanguard
Carge-radius, weapon synergy, double charge
no stasis, you have a venom.
Lift-damage, moar hades, damage
passives-power, power, weapon
all shields
Drell Inf-
Mine-Radius, (cant remember), evasive
rank 4 damage cloak
homing-radius, fire, split.
i think rank 4 weapon damage
all shields
Cerberus Venomguard-vid upcoming, it is a real nasty one I did off-host. disrupter ammo.
charge same as Asari
Smash-electrical, damage, radius
lol lash
power, power, WEAPON WEIGHT he needs it.
all shields
Reg. Venomguard- i like this build a lot, this upcoming vid I specced him for using the venom.
charge, same as asari with power synergy
3 ranks in shockwave
nova-damage, half blast, sustain. you are using it only to detonate.
power,power.
all shields.
venomgineer
for this upcoming vid, I used the same spec I had the last I played with him
no decoy (I do recommend decoy)
fire-radius, burning, armor
overload-chain, shock,chain
power,power,weapon damage
all shields.
hope you enjoy

I'll try to explain some choices I made for this build. Mostly same build and game tactics as Leland already showed but with slight changes. This build focuses on melee instead of shotgun kills. Fortification is what I consider to be the optimal to boost all 3 factors power/melee/survival. Inferno nades can be done differently but I switched the last radius evolution to armor damage -> takes boss units down quicker and softens armored mooks like dragoons, pyros etc for melee kills. Carnage is used for fire explosion cheese. For passives I took all power evolutions, but 4b can be changed to 4a -> your choice. Incendiary ammo is ofc mandatory for cheese.
Trick is to use venom for stagger and softening (primes incendiary for carnage explosions) -> shoot enemy at their feet and proceed to melee kill. Phantom melee kills for example become a joke on gold. Nades are now less ground control but they take enemies down quicker and make it easier for you to melee kill armored enemies. Still enough radius to hit most of the spawn.
Hope this made sense and have fun. I've had.

I'm thinking about adding a melee section to the OP, but it's already so freaking clogged up with cheese, and I haven't even done Vanguards yet...

Excactly what I was going for:P
Although that huge OP is kinda confusing, I should probably add a table of content or something.

Also, I'll probably add the rest of my builds (Vanguards) if I find the game in between games

I have a question. Do you always charge up the weapon before firing, or do you sometimes just shoot it normally?
charged shot is preferable because it has a larger AoE. non-charged shots essentially need to hit the target full on, which is not easy on an off-host game. Charged shots are also great for applying incendiary ammo effects.
although vs bosses, charged shot followed by a non-charged shot is viable, but like all projectile guns the venom isn't great against big mean bosses.
off-host the clusterbombing AOE effect can be slightly less pronounced depending on lag, but this is still a fairly lag-friendly gun.

I usually charge up shot 1 and 3 and double tab to 2 and 4, but it depends on the kit and situation. I always hide the reload with a power, if possible.XFG-65 wrote...
