I created new spells and for some reason I can't see them in game... now if I change a parameter in an existing spell in my spells.2da - it works fine, like changing the innate or caster lvl or script, but when I'm trying to add new spells it acts as though it doesn't know my spells.2da file and adds nothing. i can't get it to show on the cleric-wizard spell menue and I don't get what could be the problame...

I even went as far as adding a new feat for it and a domain that gives it (it's a master spell with 5 other spells on sub like shadow conjure spell) so the feat shows and the main spell shows- but all the other subs show on the spell manue when spelling the master spell but don't do nothing when i hit them- it casts a spell but no impact script is fired.... SO WEIRD!

Try opening the 2da in the toolset (not some external program, but the original toolset 2da thing), hit save, and then try it... worked for me once with some other 2da issue

how do I save the 2DA in the toolset? I just hit save (module) option or can i save the 2DA alone?

Open up the 2DA in the 2DA editor (is it under the 'plugins' menu?) and hit the [save] button in that interface.

the last far right column has a 01 switch for REMOVED: 1= Removed - 0 = USEABLE

Never had a problem with NWN2daEditor unless someone customised a spells.2da and put those bloody stupid quotes in the first column so their spell nam could have a space in it = nothing but trouble for those of us that wish to further modify the spells.2da after theirs. then i had to use excel or (ack) notepad

of course the proper way to manage the spells.2da is with a custom tlk file with the correct spell names in it not the shortcut that works for placeables.2da which never is directly interfaced during actual play

Well what happens is this- sometimes when I create a new spell it reads the fire script correctly and sometimes it just ignores it.. there is no real logic in when it does what and for what lines it does it...
I'm SO CONFUSED right now...

I found that at first I didn't compile the spells (I just used notepad to copy my new compiled spell's test and past it into the new override notepad to avoid renaming - much faster but doesn't work. the 2DA never fires the script. So now I'm compiling everything- but still sometimes it just ignores firing the script or showing the new spell on the casting menu...

Did this happen to anyone?
