Sometimes a junket is just a junket. I'm sure the Bioware team might enjoy some sightseeing, sandy beaches, koalas and time away from the bsn.Plaintiff wrote...
I like to think that attending a convention on the opposite side of the globe would have more of a point than just rehashing old information.

I will withhold all our koalas from the Bioware team until they ply me with substantial information about our future companions.metatheurgist wrote...

Honestly, from the PAX panel description and what Chris was saying a while ago, it sounded like they're just getting some Bioware staff in a room for an hour to talk about their roles with the company, and having them answer random questions from the crowd, plus meeting fans. It seemed more like an event to interact with fans, rather than standing there for an hour revealing new information.
I'll be attending and I'm sure somebody will record it, so if anything is mentioned it'll be posted around the pllace.

Chris Avellone's recent appearance at Rezzed didn't show much new content from Project Eternity, but it did reveal quite a bit about Obsidian's approach to game design generally, and that's something I really enjoyed learning.

Bioware have said that they would release more information "soon". I think PAX Aus is an excellent "soon"... And as for it being on the other side of the world, what does that have to do with anything? Everything gets anywhere on the internet, often right as it is happening.
But Australian internet is 2 years behind everyone elses. True story.
