A new character, and I wouldn't mind a dwarf or elf just so I can be taller than him.

Someone like Joker from Mass Effect, without the brittle bones or robot girlfriend. A guy with a sense of humor, willing to be in the background while the gal goes out to be the hero but able to fly in to save the day when needed. BTW I'm still mad about the robot girlfriend.

I want a challenge... a conquest worthy of getting an achievement for!

1. A seductive sexpot who has taken many lovers but has never been won by one. Well, let's see what he says after the Inquisitor drives him crazy till he begs to be won!

2. A strong warrior badass-type who is on a deadly personal quest and believes having someone he loves is a liability. The Inquisitor wants to help him kick butt and take names, and convince him that s/he's strong enough to be his partner in both death-dealing and loving...

3. A nobleman who's contracted for an arranged marriage by his parents. He tries to resist the Inquisitor's charms, but he's falling for him/her anyway. Depending on the Inquisitor's actions and choices, he either runs away with him/her, marries him/her, or says "Thanks for the memories" and goes through with the arranged marriage. For bonus points, you can be nice, mean, or totally bat**** crazy to the betrothed.

I'm hoping for something different, like a casanova wannabe, hitting on every other NPCs but constantly being rejected by them.

Something Bioware hasn't done before.

Perhaps someone with a deceased wife or lover and who is still grieving.

Some might complain that they are not attracted to men who cling to their former lovers and that they do not want their characters to be directly compared to them constantly.

But I think most players would find his struggles with loss and trust really sympathetic.

I hope not, Cortez's romance was a bit ruined because I feel like a replacement for his dead husband. I'm hoping for a lighter romance this time around.

I want someone like Sten >:D really hard to understand but once you get to know him he's not so bad if i can't get a Qunari then someone like them :D i also want to have the option to say no and challenge him as well and this would push the relationship instead of kill it

"I say kill him now"
"And I say not yet"

*later*

"I guess you were right" *smirk*
"Learn not to be so uptight all the time" *Laugh* or *smile* or *giggle* (depends on the personality)

Am I the only one here who love Qunaris D:

*snerk*  Points for creativity?

If we're being entirely superficial, I want Benedict Cumberbatch voicing my LI.

Cullen, I think. I'd find a romance between a Mage and a (Former?) Templar very interesting. Other than him, though, I'd like a chirpy and positive guy like Alistair, with maybe a dash of shyness. Though Cullen could easily be moulded into that.
Even better!

Now I am, too. Damn.

Well, I'm hoping for someone without a whole luggage cart of emotional baggage this time around. Someone who can support the PC instead of needing her support to get his @&#* together and stop foaming at the mouth with the crazy-of-the-day. Someone I feel good about tanking for, because I am not even going to PRETEND my first playthrough won't be a tank. They all turn into tanks.

Nathaniel Howe-esque, for sure, would be a girl worth fighting for. If he can cook.  And, of course....

Being too hot for a country wouldn't hurt. :)

he is probably both sad and happy cause its probably the first time a human being is bansihed for being too super sexy

they were probably worried that when thier wives see him on the street they would turn to the ugly lump sitting next to them and say: dafq why are you not more like DAT ...

What a friggin' honeypot right there. Sigh. Too bad his actual character in that movie is nothing I would ever want in an LI. Real, or imagined.

The maker. Andraste got a whole religion around her for being his wife, I can get at least a country for being his mistress.

And if I do things right I can murder him and inherit his powers. That's how it works, right?
