I just want a more light hearted romance again . Anders and Fenris were just too broody and depressing to get involved with . I'd like a funny, loveable rouge character , like varric or flynn ryder

"Inquisitor! We have dire news! The armies are massing behind th.... the.... th.... What is that man doing with his eyebrows?"[/quote]

I wouldn't mind this either. The dashing and handsome fun-loving rogue.

Like a good hearted soul like
Sebastian, or maybe a sexy liar like Loghain? What type would be a fine
specimen to romance?

A character like Tallis from Mark of the Assassin. Good heart, funny, cute, but still a badass.

This would make the sex scenes even more awkward than DAOs

I always wonndered about that, nobody in camp ever slept...so everyone would be watching. Especially Alistair. And Oghren. And Zevran. O.o

Someone that is neither a mage nor a Templar. Not a brute but still a badass.

I want to romance a possessed watermelon filled with the hearts of the fallen
who seeks to reunite the Vegetables and Fruits together in order to drive out
the monstrous humans, elves and dwarves in order to reclaim their world.

Upon reflection and a replay of both Dragon Ages, I would be okay with Cullen so long as we can mod out the jewfro.

but seriously, any would be good so long as there's variety (no having both males broody, that was just awkward.)

I kinda like the idea of having a "reluctant everyman" as one of the romance options. He really didn't want to get dragged into your party, but either circumstances beyond his control, or an irrational moment of bravery, forced him to become part of the group. He's skilled enough to be useful to the party (though his skills probably weren't honed with the intention of using them in battled), but not necessarily strong or powerful by any means. The romance would be a lot of give and take on both sides, with the inquisitor helping him come into his own as a true hero, and him keeping the inquisitor's sanity in check by reminder her (or him) of the simpler pleasures in life.

A nonextremist who doesn't brood all the time and isn't stagnant would be nice.

With a low opinion of anybody that adventures. He'd be a sneaky rogue, since he'd get a lot of practice creeping up on people in his library. He doesn't care whether you're supporting mages or templars-- both of them are at risk of ruining his perfectly categorized library. Says things like this:

I want a male LI that wants to be my character's protector. A strong male LI.

Not adverse to this. My doormat character needs this or a joker, or she'll get herself killed because she'll take whatever somebody says seriously.

I'll still go for library man any day though. There's way too many possiblities especially if he's usually more concerned with his library than other people.

I call him Righty. He has a twin named Lefty but he is far less useful.

I've met this Righty, everyone says he's so much handier to have around, but whenever I try to get him to do anything, he just mucks it up. Lefty on the other hand, he and I get along splendidly.

This just gave me the mental image of a farmer by the name of Bob who fights with a hoe

Someone here said that they'd like someone shy, and I actually think that sounds awesome. A really shy sort of male character would be adorable, sort of a male Merrill but less socially awkward.

I think Fenris was pretty shy. But not in the traditional way.

But a cute, shy guy would be adorable.

With the other choice being a manly, "lean on me" kind of guy.

Good balance. Same for the ladies.

Oh yes, perhaps that works better :D I just remember that when Hawke first flirts with him, he coughs and sort of laughs awkwardly, then completely ignores what Hawke just said lol Poor fella.

I think he was just embarassed by how Hawke took him completely off-guard.  The little laugh and the cough to cover it up.  (But the approval hit is so worth it, haha.)  Very cute.  <3  He's more direct when it's just himself and Hawke though.

Someone mature and unangsty.

A grown up alistair type character would be just about right IMO (as long as he swings both ways! :P )

Also he had better have facial hair. Flog needs some beardy lovin'
