So just for fun I paired up all the different armors I've seen next to Each other in 3 different Strips. 
Ofcourse I recommend actually clicking the strips so you can zoom in.

Damn, where do you find the time to be so helpful? Armor customization looks amazing, but are we able to tweak the CE and preorder armors at all? Not sure if this has been addressed.

Its going to be epic. I didnt actually think to slow the video down to see them all. haha! But this is going to be a drop in the water for what you can do and the other choices you will have!

Multiple shades of individual colours is also cool.   Can you add colour to detail as well or is it really just the main outfitting?

I agree too much of the same. I'm hoping that the ME1 model for heavy armor is available, that's what I want to use.

I'm guessing since we now have color options, we'll only get like 4 armors. They already have the pre-order armors so I don't see them adding many more

and i believe the DLC armor is not customizable.IF it were amazing...but i only expect there to be 1-3 armors in the game without DLC.oh how much people who dont get all the DLC will miss out...too bad your all going down a drain and are gonna get caught in the pipes...

Yeah, I'm sure they are going to have amazing variations there....coupled with the whole modular concept is going to make this awesome! And in all honesty, I would have just been happy with changing the colors and being able to add the N7 logo.

Pitty that the Colossus and Predator X armors armors aren't making it back. Those were the best. I guess Cerberus accepts the lowest bid when buying armor.

Despite the fact that some of these look the same with some color changes, let's face it. Light, Medium, and Heavy Armor in Mass Effect 1 looked the same, but with different colors depending on manufacturers. Take the different sizes of the Colossus armor, they all have the same color palette, but some of the color covers different parts of the armor.

the only armor you get with otu any of the preorders or collctor edistion or dao specail is the n7 armor. you get to customize it to your hearts content. as in the color and paterns and the level of it from light to heavy. you cna customeize the helmet and the body as you see fit but it is always the n7 armor. now you get a mystery armor at some point in the game.. not sure what it is but unless you get another aromor from a pre order or a specail edistion or some dlc you will only have the N7 armor.

There are some armor variations I saw in there that are not limited to the special armors, so yes there will be some awesome mix and match going on.

The Entire Modular system is based on Mix and match. it doesn't just come in a set. You'll piece them together

Well yeah but you can't customize the special armors and I like to look uniform.
