OK, so you need to cast it before you can use it, right? I thought it could be used in dialogues as long as you had it memorised, but I guess I didn't recall correctly.
I meant in what specific places it could be used, but no matter. I can check it out if I replay it.

New character, I reached 14, I used Clarivoyance regularly (just cast it to see how it's used). One level of fighter and went for Eldritch Knight.
Rollicking fun. Fireball! Several battles are set up so the only reasonable way to deal with them is via your spells.

I've just started (more or less) & my journal has a quest "The talisman & the eye"
It makes it sound like I should have these things.
They weren't in the items box at the start, do they turn up later?
Edit: Nevermind, I finished the mod with the quest still in my journal.
