Trailer:
Granted all we know is that this is an RPG going by its listing on the PS4 site and has nothing to do with Dragon's Dogma. It's claimed the trailer is running in real time. If this plays as good as it looks then we've got a real winner on our hands. I thought the combat in Dragon's Dogma was really good so I have faith they'll have good combat in this game.
However going on the limited information we know so little about this game. We can only make assumptions but the trailer and working title suggest that this will be a dungeon-crawler of some sorts (thus making it unique from all these other action-RPG's out right now and coming out) where the whole aim is to travel deep down into some lair/cave/dungeon/underground for some reason or another.
The trailer suggests it's party based (whether with switchable characters who knows?) and a tweet by Yoshinori Ono hints that there's multiplayer. Meanwhile the ending of the trailer suggests there's either some sort of survival element with food (also suggested when you see the party at a camp fire resting and eating) or that you can help other players be sharing stuff with them. If this game has drop-in and drop-out co-op then I already see a game full of GOTY material here providing it has good gameplay. So far what we've seen screams generic fantasy but Capcom proved with Dragon's Dogma that despite the cover, the book is far from generic and if this continues that tradition then we can expect some innovative features in this game.
