i still enjoyed the game regardless of what other ppl say about it, true that it could have been better, and not reuse other levels and the details of the characters needed a bit of work and the choices u make could have matterd more  and some other stuff, but it was still fun to play, but that's just my opinion tho

People do like to complain.

DA2 certainly has it's flaws. But so do DAO.

Also, I believe this thread belongs in the Dragon Age II General Discussion sub-forum.

Did you expect the gaming community to be some sort of hippie love-in?

If only.

It's a dark, filthy pit where the vile outcasts of society trample each other in an endless, futile effort to be king of nothing.

it had many flaws but I still love it. the game reused environments a lot and such. honestly the game is very cheap now and it is fun. I think many people jumped on the bandwagon when it came to DA2 hate.

DA2 deserves a lot of the criticism it gets. Choppy story, rushed, copy and pasted areas, really ugly looking textures. It's not a good game

I've been bashing on DA2 a lot, but I don't think it's a terrible game. It's just not a very great one and certainly didn't wow me more than DA:O did. It's just okay.

If 'hating' became an Olympic sport, lots of BSNers would be ready to go. Bioware hasn't helped what with the whole ME3 ending mess and the disappoint of DA2, but things did get ramped up to 11 this past year. At the moment MS is in the crosshairs of the angry gamer with the X1 mess. I'm not saying such sentiments are not deserved, its just that, well, gamers are getting really good at being pissy and that show is often a good laugh if you stop and look at it for a moment.

I don`t really want to beat a dead horse. DA2 was very weak. The re-used environments, SWAT team spawning of random enemies all the time, and over all rushed-ness, I had to force myself to finish it.

However, I feel like a lot of the other complaints I`ve seen are whining for the sake of whining, jumping on the hate bandwagon for all future EA or Bioware games because of DA2 or ME3s endings or whatever, etcetera

I had the same problem when I first played it - I forced myself to play until Act 3 and then got sidetracked and didn't look at the game for a long time.
Then I started up a new game a few weeks ago, this time with a sarcastic Mage Hawke instead of my original diplomatic Warrior Hawke - it felt far less tedious this time around, and I came to appreciate the things it did right rather than all the areas it fell short in.
All in all I've enjoyed it - I'll eventually get around to trying out a Rogue.

I like the game and I have finished it many times but, in my opinion, it's a really mediocre game once you compare it with DA:O.

I haven't played this game extensively yet, but it's still enjoyable. If you're a DA fan, then keep with it, cause playing it does give you more story that will be useful to know in DA3

DA2 was a decent game at best.It took out the race option which was a minor issue, but did cut the games replay value incredibly. To be honest it felt rather linear and a pain in the ass for achievement hunters like myself. But none the less was enjoyable over all and is now completely cheap I say buy it and play it up.

The only complaint I could think of personally, aside from bugs which all games have, was the feeling of it being "Rushed" but the DLC made up for it in the end by adding some feeling back into it. If there is anything I can say about Bioware it is they make addicting games, but that becomes their double edged sword either the fans love it or hate it.
