Are they cutting out part of the game and putting it for sale as DLC. I'd like to think I get the complete game and add ons down the road they creature for extra bonus, not cutting out part of the game to sale later on

I read on an arctile they had with Bioware, that they already have quality DLC downloads for Mass Effect 2. They are already ready to be released in the first week of the release of the game, but makes me wonder.

The game is developed til a few months prior to release at that point there is content lock out where they can not add anything more to the game. With ME 2 and DAO there are separate teams that handle the DLC, what do you think they are doing for those months? Sitting on their hands? One gripe people had for ME was the lack of DLC so guess what they will give us for Mass Effect 2, that's right more DLC. THis Day 1 DLC is free for those that buy the game new if you buy it second hand you will have to pay a horrendous amount for it IE Stone prisoner was 15$ for those that buy it used. I see no complaint in this process unlike Ubisoft or Capcom that develope the game then lock out features and then have the consumers pay to unlock them and not download a thing. THat's a scandalous tactic, spit in the face of their fans.

The game was done months ago. They've just been polishing up the final product. Plenty of time to hammer out some DLC. Besides, they only have one new sidequest ready for launch anyway. One sidequest, one planet, and an extra party member. And it's free.
It's not like it's a full blown, Return to Ostagar type of expansion in the first week.
