Well, that is what happens when an LI is forced down on everyone...

It's a tumor. Pretty nasty looking. Fortunately, they are removable.

I'm not going to read the other10+ pages of posts, but let me guess...Miranda?

On topic, Liara is a bit annoying. Why did she give Shepard files on everyone but herself? A bit hypocritical, don't you think?

Unless I'm missing her files, I don't recall seeing any.

No thanks. I'll pass on the Liara killing. I'm fine with her. All the animosity I've ever felt for her is really toward the devs, poor thing.

I mostly only resented her when she came to comfort me in my cabin because she wasn't who I wanted to see. That was never pretty.

"Shepard, please open the door."
"NO!" *throws object at door*
"I know you're going through a hard time. I just want to make sure you're all right."
"I WANT MIRANDA!" *throws another object at door*
"Shepard, are you -- are you under your desk?"
"GO AWAY!"
"What the goddess are you doing under your desk?"
"IT'S MY FORT AND YOU ARE NOT INVITED YOU DON'T HAVE THE PASSWORD ONLY PEOPLE WITH THE PASSWORD CAN GET IN! I WANT MIRANDA!"
"Shepard, please come out from under your desk."
"NO!"
"Please -- "
"NO!" *throws third object at door*
"-sigh-. Shepard, Miranda isn't here. They sidelined her, there's no chance of her coming, you can't have -- "
"LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA! BLUE LADY GO AWAY!"

Like the topic of Legion h4xxing? I can only imagine him playing Call of Spectres and teabagging his victims while quick sniping mgers.

Actually, it just so happens I have a question relating to this topic.

So, what do you guys think about Miranda being a member of a dating site?

I really don't want Mcfly coming back here calling her a sl*t (again), so let's not go there (again) shall we?

She's a career woman who wants the physical benefits to suit her needs, and doesn't want the baggage of a relationship or emotional attachment.

I don't care about how much she gets laid. If what you say of this user is true, then I would conclude that this person is either immature or has a bible up their ass.

True, but then you have theat doctor's report her being unable to reproduce. It's obvious that at one time she might have thought about wanting to start a family but couldn't. I'd wager that she would still keep her career, though.

Read further into this thread...

Word of God (Miranda's writer in ME3) says that Miranda knew about her infertility before engaging in her liasons. The timing and usernames were oversights on the part of the writer, he admitted as such. He stated that Miranda was indeed a career woman who wasn't interested in emotional baggage or attachment.

Even though I hate on Liara forcing, her gift scene was well done for my tastes and if that was there and not all her other "comfort" moments, I'd be prweetty silent.

Yep. Let Javik throw her out the airlock as far as I'm concerned.

Same with the supposed UST that Aethyta mentions. There is no UST between Shepard and Liara, at least not in my game. My Shepard isn't, nor ever was attracted to Liara. Maybe it's on Liara's end, but not on mine.

I sympathise, but you can get your voyeuristic kicks by reading her diary in ME3 if you'd like.

Nothing so juicy as Miranda's, but it's somethin'.

I srsly don't understand how much people on the BSN want to airlock-eject Mass Effect characters.

I'm trying to think of a BioWare character I wanted to toss out an airlock, and I can't think of any. I seem to recall leaving Juhani to rot on my ship for the entire game, but I didn't feel homicidal.

Also, forget Liara's file, I wanted to see Shepard's.

Wouldn't it be more logically to blame the writer?

Indeed.

I am just playing around when I bash characters. Seriously, I don't want to anything bad happen to any of them.

Depends.

In this case, yes, I think it's the writers that chose to present Liara in a way that was bound to garner resentment.

So, then her infertility is meaningless if she doesn't even want children. What was the reason for the writers putting in that tidbit of information?

Well when you look at it from a non-import stance besides Cortez and Traynor, Liara is the easiest one to romance

Hence Bioware putting her in scenes alot

Ultimately that's who I blame.

Ashley is a different story though. Very well written in ME1. But I also completely hate her guts.

If you ask me, it was pity-pandering on BW's part.

A better question is why fans care if Miranda is infertile. Its not like you'd be playing as Shepard's descendent in a sequel, and having children is not a necessity to living a happy life.

Pity pandering?

Most gamers are probably like myself, teens and 20-30 somethings. Many males. It's not that I don't take infertility seriously, but not a topic that invokes pity right away. Hell, I don't even want kids, so I'm even more of an outlier.

I just figured it was another aspect of her character, nothing more.

Just to take the question seriously, she's more of an all business/thinker type and not good with people. Not everyone has some social life to fall back on to find a date. Seems normal enough.

This. Like I said before, Miranda grew up entirely devoid of meaningful social interaction. The one person she had any contact with during her childhood (Niket) sold both Miranda and Oriana out to their father. Jacob was (as far as it's been made apparent) her first real friend, and Shepard (assuming the romance is followed through) is the first person she has developed feelings for.

So yeah, not all that strange to me.

On a side note, its interesting how many female characters on the squad are not good in social situations...

Liara, Tali. and Traynor can be socially awkward at times, the stereotypical scientist and engineers.

Miranda comes across as being a little cold or standoffish at first.

Jack is, well...Jack.
