 I wanna use the mask of the betr' suppress vfx (the cool box on the player) for a spell but it will not work for some reason...

effect eVis1 = EffectVisualEffect(VFX_CAST_SPELL_SUPPRESS);

I know you need to add the #include "kinc_spirit_eater" for it not to give you errors but it still will not show it...

You might have more luck using the SEF file directly via EffectNWN2SpecialEffectFile().

If there's a VFX in the game, then there's an SEF somewhere that creates it. I usually put down a placeable effect in the toolset and then enter key words into the drop-down list from its SEF slot (and hope I eventually guess the correct key word).

It's just like a standard effect that you apply to an object (ApplyEffectToObject) or location (ApplyEffectAtLocation). It just bypasses the need to plug constants into a visual effect function.

It's easier to browse the VFX sefs if you have the PowerBar plugin installed, which gives you a quick VFX browser with a filterable list.

fx_a_suppress.sef

fx_a_suppress_2.sef

fx_se_suppress.sef

hint: familiarise yourself with the NWN2 install directory/Data folder (search there)

Make sure you include the ".sef"

effecte eVis1 = EffectNWN2SpecialEffectFile("fx_a_suppress.sef");

You don't actually need to include the extension ".sef" in that line.
