You're one of maybe 10 people who really feel that way. The store needs to change, even if the UR drop rate only gets raised by some 25% when you max out everything else. I don't want to spend 5 million getting nothing. I don't mind spending 500K between upgrades though.

As I've already said, I think it would be much more fair if they remove the random. Random is stupid and no fair at all.
The store rewards you if you have tons of luck, it should reward you for your dedication/skills/score

Why would you want them to improve the UR drop rate and to eliminate any kind of randomness? Do you really want to find an UR in every single pack and be able to max out your manifest in 50 hours? I mean, is this what people really want? Like I said, if you put enough hours into the game, you can easily max out your manifest pretty quickly. If they raised the UR drop rate, things would just get ridiculous. The clue is in the name - ULTRA rare, meaning very rare.

And why should the chance of finding an UR be made to be dependent on skill/score? That doesn't make sense. It's all about the grind, it's what makes this game fun and gives it some great longevity.

I've never spent 5 million without finding anything, that doesn't sound right at all. Maybe I got lucky. I was never frustrated by the store, I was able to max out in a reasonable amount of time. I'd certainly hate for them to change the RNG store by increasing the drop rate, that would be a terrible mistake.

I'll quote what I've wrote for you:

CHRrOME wrote...

I will focus on the most important thing of all here: the f... store

No more random BS. Put something like "you unlock high quality stuff if you complete challenges with low quality ones".
Like, you want the vindicator? 100 kills with the avenger first. You want carnifex? 100 kills with the phalanx first, and so on. And only then the new gun is unlocked for you tou buy on the store. Something like, first you have to achive a certain amount of kills or points with a weapon/class in order to be able to buy a certain gun on the store. Same for gear, kits, mods, whatever.

This way no more newbies who don't know what a BE is, will come with a Harrier trying to learn how to shoot. And pros wouldn't be trolled every single second with a random sh*t of a store which always give him/her all sort of crap less what he/she actually wanted.

Why I want that? because I think random as I said, is stupid. People who just bought the game yesterday can have the same weapon that took you +300 ingame hours to find, all because of randomness.
You are assuming this way you can max your manifest in 50 hours? think again.
You are basing the chance to find anything in just YOUR experience. I've spent 6 millions once and got nothing but cryo IV (and there are people with even worst luck)

Thats my humble opinion

EDIT: A little data here. I've spent 611 hours in ME3 which is a LOT, and my manifest is far from maxed. I've spent 300 hours in BF3 and I've all the guns with pretty much all the unlocks, why? because I've enough points/kills with every single one of them, is not random.

You, Sir, are an idiot.

Just because you didn't have any UR dryspells lasting several million credits doesn't mean the store is fine as it is. My longest no UR streak was 5.1m. My second longest was 4.3m. Some BSNers have supposedly gone up to 10m without an UR. It took me months of playing and maxing all my rares before I saw my first Harrier, while some new players got theirs after a few days of playing.

I have been playing this game for almost 600 hours and still need 75 more UR cards and it took some people 900 hours to max their manifest. So don't talk out of your arse about maxing your manifest in 50 hours if they raised the chances of getting URs. They should abolish the entire goddamn RNG store and allow us to purchase whatever the hell we want.

Grinding doesn't make the game fun when you get nothing in return for all the hours you put into it.

1)  No need to call a person an idiot who disagrees with you, it only makes you look bad.
2)  The quicker people max out their UR the shorter the game life for them on average.

The present system is not ideal that is for sure.  I would like them to add ultra premium specter packs or something that do guarantee an U/R gun but the cost should be very high.

When they defend a reward system that punishes their dedicated players, they deserve to be called an idiot. When they defened a system that makes people leave the game because they are arbitrarily blocked from progressing they deserved to be called an idiot.

Its kinda funny how the guy with a maxed out manifest and good luck finds the system to be ok. Yet, god forbid the guy who was on the short end of the stick even ask for a better system.

I still dont have all the options at my disposal, Lancer 0 club. That is irritating. Why? Because no matter how much longer I play, no matter how many more credits I spend, I may never get it. That is tremendously retarded. This isnt even about maxing my manifest, this is about being able to use even the base form of a weapon.

The store isn't the problem, it's probably the main reason the game has lasted as long as it has. IMO, the real change needs to be made in the credits earned.

Bronze should be 35k-45K, which lets you work in the basic equipment and consumables.

Silver should be 55K-65K, which, if played well, will net you a Spectre pack.

Gold should be 95K-105K, again, if played well, will net you a PSP.

Platinum is good where it is at.

The ability to buy what you want sounds great, but without something to play for, most people will just move on. The above gives each difficulty a purpose for furthering your manifest. It is still going to take many hours to max things out, but at least the feeling of reward is there after each match.

BW could also implement a prestige mechanic once you manifest is maxed, allowing you to reduce all items to level one and maybe give you something like 25 upgrades to place where you choose.

If you don't like the store - switch to another game! I hear defiance is nice (lol).

PVP so we don't have to fight AI mobs over & over. until this series steps up their game I'll still playing Dark Souls and other games with more features rather than grinding random stores

Oh that's right- just get rid of the Random store at least

Lets take another look at the facts:

- I have a maxed manifest, every single item at maximum level; you're still a pathetic noob with 75 URs left to go (lol, btw). Rather than behave like an adult, you chose to conduct yourself as a jealous, pathetic noob (the worst type of noob in my opinion; whatever happened to friendly, polite noobs?).
- You probably have a tiny N7 and just a few challenge points
- You've probably only played the game for a hundred hours, yet you expect to have already maxed out your manifest and you spend your time complaining about this problem and calling people with maxed manifests idiots.

So, let me reiterate - I win, you lose. It's over. Suck it up. Get that into your thick skull.

Oh, and do you really think I care if I suck? I know for a FACT that I suck. Everyone I play with knows I suck, it's no secret! I don't care. Solo platinum? Are you actually kidding me? I can't even solo bronze, who do you have to go and talk about platinum? Pfft. All that matters is that I have a maxed manifest...and you don't...

Bye.

Huh. At first you were on to something XFG, but those last few replies got really childish, really fast.

Regardless; accepting the store for what it is - game longevity, is the only viable option. It's not perfect, but it keeps us playing. And complaining, of course, there will always be butthurts whining about dry spells. Just remember that the store is not always about you getting your way, and keep playing and enjoying the game. If you build it, it will come.

No PVP. Ever. Multiplayer must fit ME lore and universe. So far they've done it pretty well.

Overall, most things should stay the same. What definitely needs a change are the Poor matchmaking system and the Random Store.

Also, I would like the game to prioritize cooperative, serious team work. All vanilla kits and most earlier DLC kits were that way. Then came Earth and things went to another direction.
Now the most rewarding way of play this game is by having 4 high-DPS loners.

I could care less about what you think of my replies. The fact is, I came here on this thread, posted some civilised non-provocative comments, I was just providing my honest views. Now all of a sudden I'm being called an idiot and a child? What's up with that? Noobs need to know their place, I put them there. Who dares question my views when I have a maxed manifest and a giant N7? I'm in a position where I can provide an evaluation of the RNG store because I've been through the whole journey, I've unlocked everything, and I don't think the store is unfair. It's going to take more than a hundred hours to max out everything. Some people hate that. But I think it's a near perfect system and I wouldn't want them to change it. Someone who has 75 URs left is still just a baby, how could he/she possibly have any idea what they're talking about? He/she is in no position whatsoever to argue with me.

What I was saying was that I agreed with you, it was just your outlash by calling everyone noobs and bloating your own manifest that I was making comment on. I understand that you do have more than enough experience with the store to make a strong assertion to your arguments, and that it does speak for something. Yes, there are those who believe the system is unfair and are impatient and fed up with the store because they want their unicorns and they want them now, and there are those that will call you an idiot for accepting the store for what it is. It was the way you handled the situation that is the reason for my remark. Before that, you made some really good points on the store that I agree with.

Sorry Biggs, I really didn't mean to offend you, I apologise if I came across as rude or impolite. I just get a little frustrated with the attitudes of some of the people on here. You wouldn't walk up to someone in real life and call them an idiot outright, so why do it on a forum? I clearly didn't start this. I was just providing my opinions.

It's okay mate, internet's gonna internet sometimes. Gotta do your best to shrug it off when you can. :wizard:

And now, for something on topic;

After playing a little of Dragon's Dogma, I began to think a little more into the pawn system. Now, I know that companions are very, very fleshed out, so that route specifically may pose some problems. But if there was a stable for a cameo of your MP character in SP, that would be pretty interesting to be able to connect the two in some way. In a sense, I feel like I'm calling back to Halo Reach, where your main character was defined by your multiplayer appearance. For an ME3 example, when you do the N7 mission in Cyone, imagine if instead of Captain Riley it was your chosen MP character that you had the opportunity to fight beside as Shepard.

Guess it's not entirely MP related, but having ties between the two would be neat.
