My 2 cent: Introduce a boss wave.

As in an actual Reaper or whatever ME4's equivalent is (Atlases, Primes, Praetorians, and Banshees have always felt like mini bosses imo.)

Have it drop in the map where it has the best line of sight, give it crazy shields and armour and faction support. It should have heavy weaponry (like the reaper beam of death) that will drop anything that gets hit, player and enemy units alike. Maybe introduce a Hammer of Dawn type of weapon pickup for that wave to deal with it.

Does anyone think it would be possible for inter-platform play? And if so would anyone like that idea. And if you don't know what I mean, I mean like playsstation Xbox and pc all playing together on the same server.

But I guess that would require Sony and Microsoft to play nice which is unlikely.

there are no racists on PC.

I would like to see the class system dropped, and instead have all the various aspects of the game put into a create-a-kit system. Where all the various weapons, powers, abilities, gear, species, etc., have some "cost" associated with it, and players have a fixed amount to "spend" on a kit. Its actually a very easy system to balance by making powerful weapons/powers more expensive, forcing players to sacrifice a lot to use something powerful.

And when you finally get to it, you can roflstomp enemies with kits having BC/AF or SF/OL at the same time. And if the game would not allow you to do so, it won't really be a create-a-kit system.

Someone mentioned a map editor. That would allow users to create even more stupid stuff than box of shame or condor lz of shame. And finding a, let's say, normal lobby would be ridiculously difficult.

Although I'd love to see more maps coming out, say, 2-3 per 2 months.

I would like if there was an in game functionality that allows to record a game and review it later from different POVs or camera positions like the COD Theatre mode or like Starcraft 2 replays, I believe Quake Live too has a multi-pov functionality, but I am not sure.
At the moment I see the game is mainly based around certain challenges. So maybe for ME4 they should add a challenge mode that can be customized to the challenge and to maybe prescribe certain objectives to remove rng influence.

And of course the usual:
server list
ping
ingame joining yes/no

True Horde mode.
IE 50+ waves, but with the ability to edit wave # like in say Halo's Firefight.

1."Forge" your own maps? Set spawns, environmental hazards, create dynamic scenery and events if at all possible.

2. I want a PvP option, but I'm still brainstorming how it should work. 4v4? Objectives types only?

3. Being able to take any piece of armor you want, depending on the species, and mish-mashing together your own character with a voice of your choice, as well as your own custom colors and lights.. Example: A regular Cerberus trooper helmet, N7 defender chest, Garrus's shoulders, a random Turian voice, two different forearms, and such. You get the idea.

4. It's a dumb idea, but I always wanted to be able to sort of have a single server on the citadel where your custom character can mingle with others, like in ST:TOR

Meh, that's all I have for now.

The devs should look at topic like these for ideas, even if their altered or just to give inspiration for new ones. i do like thy are close to bsn and listen, and not just blow us off. well mostly =P

1. ways to counter/balance sync kills.
mostly they are good. for example, scions, brutes, atlas are pretty balanced about it because it takes a lot to trigger it and usually if you get synced,it was your own fault, not a cheap kill.
banshees used to be a bit too much w/ magnet hands, but now they are a good example too. they have a glowing barrier to show them they are "primed" to sync you, the 2 checks to give you a chance to get away from her and a long sync kill animation so your teammates can get you free, which dose encourages teamwork. which is why a lot of people play reapers now.

the phantom is the antithesis. can ready for a very fast sync kill too easily and not show a sign that she can.

solution?
*1a. show every foe that can sync kill a telegraphed sign that they are gong to one-hit-KO you if you get close.(ex, the banshees glow, even the brutes glowing red eyes and atlas earth punch)

*1b. give them a long animation to kill you so as to encourage teamwork. :D
(banshee and scion do this right.)

*3c. maybe even in the future depending on race, some/all sync kills just downing you instead of bleeding you out.
A phantom stabbing a krogan warlord in the gut? no. downing him at at most. maybe one-shot a volus or salarian do to their weak bodies, but not a krogan. kinda ignores lore of their redundant body systems.

a atlas crushing his torso? yeah, he's not getting up from that.

2 . represent salarians and more kits in me4:mp.
they really did get the shaft this game, while we were drowning in other aliens.
and you can never have too many kits. (batarian infiltrators and engineers were in me1....)

3 .better store.

have a two tier store.
rng packs for people with luck hax and people who want more bang for their buck.
and buy-able weapons/consumables for people with bad luck Brian luck or for people who know what they want, and people missing a certain UR's that wont show up for months.
(for me the typhoon for example):crying:
(ex. some people who dont like soliders, volus or sniper and may prefer shotguns, engineers, and salarians)

for a extreme example, a lv 2 predator would be 100 credits, but a hurricane/harrier x could be worth millions of credits.:o

(have higher level  character cards/weapons/gear/consumables be expensive as to encourage the rng store still.)

4 . put it on steam after a year or 2.

its ok to have it on origin first, as to make more $.
but after a year or 2, release it on steam for a wider audience and more $ for low risk and high reward!

win-win for all parties!:wizard:

5. add a privite lobby option that you can do whatever the heck you want for fun, but not earn any credits, exp, or challenge rewards.
you want husk mode? wanna cheat/mod for MP? wanna make thunderdome on crack?want to use a harrier x right away? you can do it there and not affect anyone else.:wizard:

just my 2 ¢.

Please stop, you sound like a child, and if you continue to act like a child, you will be treated as such. Your point was based on luck, your opponents opinion was based on skill. Both are valid, however, you going on to say that since the RNG store treated you well, you win? No, just stop. Please just stop, you are devaluing humaninty by continuing to speak without thinking.

One very important thing:
Melee and fitness not in the same skill tree!
Just does not make any sense at all, better make the player choose between melee and power/weapon damage, another skill tree with agility and durability.

Oh I understand the concerns, but create-a-kit systems are actually really easy to balance by simply implementing exponential costs with diminishing returns. I hesitate to mention COD on this forum, but Black Ops 2 is a good example of diminishing returns for increasing costs. Your "OP" examples are easily balanced by simply making the cost associated with obtaining both powers extremely costly, rendering your kit into a niche one-trick-pony unable to handle all the situations the game may throw at you. Who knows, perhaps me4 will have enemies immune to biotics, weapons, or tech, forcing incentive into building well balanced kits.

When I was a kid I bought a sticker book and tried to fill it with those packs of 5 stickers you bought for 50p.

The buy a pack method of collecting kit in ME3 MP reminds me alot of that. You save up hard by putting in the effort, then comes the agonsiing decision. Do you spend what you have now on something low level, or keep saving for something high level?

Frustrating, but fun. Lotsa fun. And a good reason to keep diving back into more horde mode medley.

But with all the kit you can collect, it needs a better UI to keep it from becoming a loooong list of stuff.

As a sniper, I only ever wanted a few items from that list, but when I switched up my characters on the fly, the listing made it hard to find the kit item to make part of the character better.

Designing a better UI to make switching character's and abilities easier would make experimentation with other characters easier, and thus the notion of experimenting, more fun, than a chore.

Oh. And take some time to brainstorm special event days and how to make MP on those days a unique experience. N7 day? I wanted to be fighting Blasto's. Halloween? Geth Ghosts in the Shell. St Patricks day? Cerberus with tall hat's and Irish accent's hidden behind their vocaliser's saying "Top of the morning. Target Practice"!

Just take a moment to make MP stand out during times when, having something a little extra on a certain day, will make people want to play on that day, just to say, "I was there when it happened"!

Here's a list of ideas I've gathered from this thread, with my own thoughts:

- Fully customizable characters, including race, gender, class, powers, weapons (and mods), and armor (everything from appearance to choosing what pieces I want for both aesthetics and bonuses, including full sets of iconic armor for all races [I'd like to have a quarian character decked in full Terminus Assault Armor. Garrus can have a turian Terminus armor, why not every race?]). If possible, if in the next game we can fully create our own character similar to DA:Origins, I'd like to continue the experience of playing my character by taking him (my character would be a male quarian) into MP. I would have spent hours playing that character, building an attachment, which would be more than what I can get from pre-made kits.

- I like the class system as it is, because I think it adds something to the atmosphere of the series. I understand the classes have roles, like charging vanguards and cloaking infiltrators, and I like that each class is associated with a certain ideal of how to play it. My idea is to keep the class system as it is, and have the powers you select dependent on your class choice, if you're making a vanguard, you'd have a choice of both biotic and combat abilities, with the signature ability of biotic charge (signature abilities would be automatically chosen depending on the class you chose [vanguards have biotic charge/infiltrators have cloak/sentinels have tech armor/soldier's would have an ability corresponding to their race, so humans have adrenaline rush and turians have marksman]). Essentially, "pure" classes (soldier, adept, engineer) have only their respective field to choose powers from, while the "hybrid" classes (sentinel, infiltrator, vanguard) can choose from both of their fields with restrictions on certain combinations in place to help keep the balance.

- The store is unpopular. That is clear, and here's my suggestion: instead of random packs, why don't we just have a store that acts like an actual store? If I want to use a Vindicator, let me buy it, and if I want to upgrade it, make me pay a little more than last time for a slightly better version, and keep that going until I buy Vindicator X. Take that idea, and put it on everything, from weapons, mods, gear, to consumables. The more rare the item, the more expensive the weapon is to initially buy and then upgrade. Armor wouldn't really work in that system, unless certain parts cost more than others, with an option to purchase the entire set in one go. It worked in SP; why not in MP? If there are people who want random packs, let them purchase the packs, and give them a random chance to acquire items that would have cost more straight-up for the lower price of the pack. Instead of multiple packs, just have one pack with multiple rates; you have 50% for uncommon, 25% for rare, 5% for ultra-rare (place-holder numbers). If you like your odds, play the lottery. Remember, you don't always win the lottery. Before I get any hate as the previous argument showed can erupt, I don't have, as of this time of posting, even 100 hours of MP. Nonetheless, I want a store of rewarded effort, not good luck, and that gives me what I want, so that I may enjoy the game playing with what I want and work towards my less desired goals. People have brought up the possibility of boredom coming from easier store gains, but isn't that what challenges are for? If a challenge wants me to use a weapon I don't necessarily want, I will still work towards it, and maybe I'll like it enough to give it a go even after the challenge is completed. I'm open-minded enough to do that; are you?

- PvP would be troublesome in cases of lag, as my laptop actually makes aiming hard in MP with delays between aiming and shooting and using abilities. Focus on Co-op for the next game, and maybe make dlc for PvP, for those who really want it. For Co-op, the game modes could be expanded, with added stories behind them to give meaning in a time where all sapient life isn't threatened with extinction. My ideas include linear missions where you follow a path with obstacles like ladders and gangways with enemy-guards along the way and are optional kills or you could sneak past (For either Assault or Infiltrator missions), with mini-horde modes when you reach check-points to do such things as hacking/uploading, opening doors, or assassination of mini-bosses, and finish it all with an endless horde wave while you wait for extraction (yes, like wave 11). Another would be Survival, where you're crash-landed on a hostile planet, and you and your team hold off against waves of enemies, like varren, klixen, some new animals, maybe even pyjaks for a bonus round, and you finish it off with an extremely tough and difficult apex predator (for example: a thresher maw), until your help arrives and gets you out of there. If you kill the apex predator, your team gets a massive (and I mean massive) bonus in XP and credits. Before you say that's too much, in my mind, that apex predator would be deserving of its name, and would be capable of surviving multiple missiles (remeber, Kalros, a thresher maw, destroyed a reaper), and I expect only fully upgraded characters with max everything to have even a chance in anything less than a full team of about 8 players. I would love to hear what other ideas you have for story-driven Co-op missions.

- Several people have mentioned wanting a hub-like area where they can check their team-mates out, and it can actually work. First off, we already have a lobby. Why not make it into an actual lobby? Make it the transport compartment of a vehicle (Mako, Kodiak, Tomkah, etc.), and you're all there, just hanging out, having the characters check their weapons, giving the other players a chance to see what their allies are bringing to the match, make suggestions and adapt as a team instead of going solo competitively. Once you all agreed that you're ready, your vehicle will either open its hatch to deploy in one of my linear missions, or it'll shudder and jerk as it crashes into a Survival match. That's my thought on the matter, and it seems to add to the story behind MP missions.

- I have heard complaints about the ME3 weapon bar system of displaying weapon stats. I kinda like the bars, because it helps compare between weapons in a certain class, but I'd like to know just how dangerous these weapons truly are. If they could show the bars, and have in a separate column the numerical stats for the weapon, so that the bars don't cross into the numbers and potentially obscure them.

- Can we combine medi-gel and the ops pack into just medi-gel? That frees a slot to add another power onto the character while keeping it lore-friendly, which is very important to me and my character-attachment. Also, since I want a hybrid of thermal clips and the cooldown/overheating system, exchange the ammunition pack with thermal clips, that you can purchase to ensure you start with a certain amount, but you can pick up temporary clips from enemies that don't transfer into the next game. Start with three pre-started, then be able to pick up at least three more that don't last beyond the match. For the explanation of that idea, search for thermal clips; there's also a poll, which I won't link, as this post took me hours and I don't want to risk losing this effort, but it should be relatively easy to find.

- Whenever I complete a match, I feel that my credit turnout wasn't really good enough for the effort I tried to put in (lagging laptop if I play more than 1 match at a time before leting it cool-down). A bronze match, valiantly fought, should allow two recruit packs, and a silver allows for one spectre pack, and on and on. Of course, in my system, that doesn't really work as it would as a bronze would give enough for either a mod or half a uncommon weapon, and a gold would allow for an armor set (this is just speculative, I really don't have an idea of a cost/worth ratio).

Let's keep this thread going. What do you think of my list? Let me, and all of BSN, know. Hopefully, our voices will be heard.

This makes total sense and makes u wonder why it wasn't implemented.

However, I would just settle for less bugs/glitches, some indication of what the latency is when connecting to games, and EA putting some of the money they earn from the game back into dedicated servers. But that isn't going to happen coz u wouldn't waste any consumables and kit due to server/Internet.

improve the shop and get rid of the ludicrous RNG model which isn't all that random, probably based on all those statistics that are gathered.  I got three Drill round IV after purchasing 3 Arsenal packs in succession! I'd just finished getting 200 waves for GI and probably wont use them again.  I understood it to give you, well weapon upgrades and no my manifest isn't maxed yet.

Ok. I have mentioned this in several other threads but It seems like a good idea to post it here.

Omni-grapple

This would be essentially a portable grapple hook in the character's omni-tool. It can enable faster travel across certain terrain along with doubling as a sync melee ability. The after effect is dependant on what class the player's character is. Soldiers and Engys will get a flame effect, Sents and infils would get an electric effect, adepts and vanguards would get a biotic effect. Each effect can be detonated with powers. It also could enable the character to reach areas of the map otherwise would be inaccessable to anyone without it. Items vital to the mission could be stored in these areas. For some characters, traversing the map with this grapple would be quicker than running or dodge-running.

As for it's melee functionality, place your crosshair on an enemy, activate heavy melee and you'll do a quick sync combo. The player will have invulnerability frames and the time it takes to cooldown is affected by your power recharge bonus. If you use it on an enemy like a phantom then you have to go through a quick three button combo press to get the combo to work. Fail the first press, she will insta-kill you, fail the second press, you'll do minor damage, fail the third press you'll do moderate damage. Get all three and you'll sync kill her. It'll come fast but not Resident Evil QTE quick.

Ok now that I got that out of the way, here's some other stuff I would like to see improved upon.

*Store. The bloody troll store. Who hasn't gotten rolled over by the accursed store. I personally always feel bad when I hear someone gets shafted by the randomness of the store. If they do decide to keep the store, make the payout on each difficulty better. Like one Bronze match should be enough for at least a vet and a jumbo, silver enough for a spectre pack, and gold enough for a premium if all bonuses are attained and the player successfully extracts. Plat creds are fine as they are now. Another aspect is if the consumables are at the max, they shouldn't be obtained until they have gone down from the max. This goes for all consumables. Process of elimnation pretty much. If there's weapons to be obtained, that's what they should draw.

*Better net code. Others have mentioned this before so, I won't touch much on this topic.

*The ability to see what build other players have on their selected character.
This would help a ton with team synergy and better coordination in pugs. This is what has been the trouble of pugs, no one can tell what build their teammates have to better accomodate the lobby and the game to make it go smoother.  Granted you are able to see what powers that character has but you don't know what they player speced into and skipped. If we were able to see that, we would know what we were getting into.

*Bigger maps, destructable environments, more enemies on screen at once and a budget bar.
Since Frostbite is gonna be used now, I'm personally gonna be expecting a ton of destructable environments. Just the idea of seeing all the powers doing all the destruction would be awesome.

*Character factions.
Player characters should be aligned with factions. The many factions shaping the galaxy after the reaper war (assuming the game takes place after ME 3) are many. Alliance, Cerberus, Shadow Broker, Migrant Fleet, Asari Republics, Spectres, Blue Suns, Blood Pack, Eclipse, Aria's crew, Clan Urdnot, STG, Turian Heiarchy.

I like the titles and banners that were added in MP, and that they made me feel like I really earned those achievements by giving me a reward for my efforts. I would make multiple banners for each title, one for each race, so that we can have banners that are related to our character's race. Just a thought for those who are really attached to a certain race (for me, that would be the quarians, and a quarian-based banner for the shotgun or tech achievement would be a nice touch).

Another idea is the before mentioned racial bonuses, as a prequel would be set in a galaxy divided mostly by racial prejudice (quarians are outcasts; batarians often feel like everyones against them; krogans have obvious reasons for not getting along with everyone else; asari, salarians, and turians get along well with each other, while the council seems to try to keep the other races in line [the volus basically set up the galactic market and turian economy, and still aren't a council race]). It only makes sense that races are most comfortable with their races' own weapons (turians have the phaeston, and krogans have the graal spike thrower and the M-300 claymore), and adding this feature will likely add new weapons to the game that will add to the story of the galaxy before reapers became a concern (the reaper war likely made racially-sentimental weapons be turned down in favor of more effective weapons for mass production for use by all races). The geth already had this in-use; why not use it for everyone?

how about a loading/lobby system that doesn't take forever to join, a marketplace that doesn't rip me off, especially when the last 15 frakking 99,0000 CR packs only ever give me ammo bonus and armor bonus 1 time use things. seriously, this is ridiculous. 1,500,000 credits only to NOT get the rest of the weapons I need. I'd feel bad for anyone who spent real money on this crap too considering it's a rip off.

I understand this was your first real attempt at ME MP, so i'm hoping the next one is less bs and more gusto. the overall gameplay is fun, but that was already established with the series, so really....you could have planned and done better, especially with the resources you had.
