I don't help them. Players who haven't bothered to get better on Bronze or Silver first don't care about improving, they just want credits, so I don't waste the time.

If I feel like carrying a bunch of scrubs, I'll stay and help. If not, I might take them to wave 3 and then wipe after the objective.

climbs please

Everybody and their cousin knows that you actually playing this game is just a random illusion generated by cosmic forces we do not understand.

I don't want to tell you (or anyone else on BSN what to do for that matter) what to do in these situations. All I can say is that I would not be in a position to carry pugs on gold if it had not been for the help and advice of players far superior to me when I started getting into MP. In some strange way, I feel like I owe it to those guys (and gals) who did the same for me. That is all :)

This

Although if they do not listen to advice on gear or tactics, then we shall see about a second match. I find the ones that do not want to listen will either rage quit after enough time on the floor, or immediately quit after the game.

P.s. good games over the past few days

They have been good games!  I'm gonna be on in 5 minutes if you're not busy... :)

See what I'm saying? Tried to break the illusion but the cosmic forces disconnected us to prevent it.

Actually right after you left we got back into my lobby and this time it didn't DC. I got a weird feeling.

I finish what I start. Only reasons I would ever leave a match in progress is, obviously real life calling, technical issues making the game literally unplayable, or obvious exploitation.

Really guys, three leeches in the same lobby? How is that even possible?

I should clarify something here, i don't think the players i was playing with last night would be considered leeches as they worked hard and got their share of points, it looked like they lacked experience playing gold.

I have a maxed manifest and plenty of spare equipments. Choosing to carry for me isn't a question of equipment or ability, it's a question of how closely I'm toeing the line of raging and yelling at pugs.

Depends largely on the feel of the lobby. If the others are putting forth an obvious effort, and not bleeding out on each subsequent wave after wave six, I usually don't mind carrying a lobby to extraction.

I tend to gear up the same as I would for a solo, just incase.

If someone in the lobby requests information, I will provide the best I can. If they actually listen, I may throw them a bone or two.

Kicking them.
3\\4 randoms don`t have a slightest idea of using medigel. I`m not talking about experienced players. I`m talking about guys, who think "Scored 30000 for 8 waves of Platinum? To hell, I`ll just eat my popcorn, watching those guys beating their butts over the spawning mobs. Then I`ll just leave the lobby with credits". Can`t do enough damage? Go and look up good builds.
Besides - I`m too old for finishing platinum waves alone.

I improved my game by finishing waves solo, or watching waves soloed, on the difficulty level i was good enough for.
I don't see how gold/plat leeches are learning anything when they can't deal damage: yes they can watch a better player soloing a wave in spectator mode, but they won't be able to feel much difference from their own progression since they don't have the means to deal damage, or the knowledge to compensate.
How can you learn if you died just as fast whether you played well or badly?

Leeches don't want to be educated, they just think having more gear means having more fun, while it's precisely the opposite. I've seen very few undergeared players take their part on gold/plat. A handful, no more.
I instantly leave games where i see 3 leeches, and often when i see 2. A single one i'll hesitate, not because i don't mind, but because it's increasingly hard to find a parasite-less game.

*Joins lobby with low level players and no equipment*
*Ready up*
*Host leaves because I couldn't revive*
*Connection to hosts lost*
*Refuses to join games in progress or host with no equipment from that point forward- 20 minutes of my time is precious*

I was always the first to volunteer to carry low-level players or offer advice - even joined Adopt a Rookie, but lately the situation has gotten a bit ridiculous. When pugging alone, I more often than not land in Gold/Plat lobbies with at least 2 low-level players with terrible weapons and no equipment.

Earlier today I landed in a Collectors Goddess Gold game in progress with 3 leechers. It was painful. They died 5-6 times per wave. Ran around like headless chicken, messing up spawns. Used only 1 missile the entire match. Used powers on Praetorians non-stop. It would have taken a 1000-page ME3 for Dummies guide to educate them. They ended up with 48k, 28k and 17k at the end.

What players like that are doing is really bad form. Either they're over-confident in their abilities (nincompoops), or they have no problem taking advantage of another player's time, effort and consumables (leechers). Either way, I will be more careful when pugging alone - no consumables equipped until I'm in a lobby, so I can leave a match in progress if I am not in the mood to waste time and equipment.

I don't support cadgers and leechers. People that clearly do not belong on gold will get their N7HQ checked. No rockets and/or gel = a brief and friendly explanation why they should get basic stuff on a lower difficulty first before going into a higher difficulty. If they dare to stay they will get kicked. There are different difficulties for a reason, and the payout is more than enough to get basic stuff like weapon mods.

If someone has gel and rockets and shows that he is at least trying (full modded weapon and a gear item + a little consumable) is more than welcomed to stay. These people often need the same effort to get carried, so I choose them over the obvious leecher.

When I'm off host, I'll simply quit the lobby/game if I don't feel comfortable in any way. Today I left a lobby because I did not support to kick the N7 118 who had a reasonable loadout for a rookie.

And to those who say that they will "play" with anybody: Leechers don't play. They leech. They ruin the fun for the vast majority of the playerbase which is not able to carry like the very few people here on BSN. I had promising friends on my FL quit the game because of the grief caused by leechers and bleeders. I cannot understand that some people support them by not kicking thus encouraging them to further troll the playerbase.

I want them to stroke my peen. I love showing the peen. You want to stroke it? O yes... they will enjoy my peen.

Or is this not a thread to let them all know you do it for the peen?

Better show me some bumbum.

if at least one person uses gels/rockets sensibly, i will stay to the bitter end.

Otherwise, if i get past using more than 4 gel and no one else is bothering, i will give up and bleed out.

I yell to stay out of LZ only rarely - those rare times, no one listens.

Cant even be bothered to complain on mic if no one is helping on objectives, which seems to be ALL the time if its wave 3 devices, but then oddly they help on wave 6, v bizarre pattern

Out of curiosity, have you seen that often? The only plentiful use of rockets by leechers  i've seen was always on wave 11 because #3 with his 45k gold score wants to overtake #2 with his 48k, completely screwing the spawns in the process.

I went down to lolsilver to grind out waves with FQE and Phalanx pistol for challenges, I did manage to convince some pugs that even on silver, LZ is a bad place on wave 11.

LOL until recently i never saw this. and then a  great pug playing with Rusty and I who already had 2nd score, started rocketing on wv 11 to try to beat Rusty.

sadly all too rare. I'm more than willing to admit im not the most skilled player even amongst pugs, but at least i try and i use my consumables when necessary. Sometimes there's just one other player. I dropped into a pug match the other day, glacier hazard collectors, was intense but because people gelled and rocketed at right times, was insanely fun. Sadly they all left lobby at end so i didnt get a rematch, but at least i used the Preferred Player vote on xbox.
