Modifying walkmesh helpers from:

http://nwvault.ign.c...al.detail&id=27

In order to have a better selection of forms to use (convex and concave, and 3 forms, to help smooth over the rougher spots in the tilesets and allow for some tricks), but for the life of me, I can't seem to edit this dude's 2da to get my own placeables in... tlkedit keeps saying it's corrupt.

Any ideas what might be up? I gotta imagine I"m not the only one who'd find this sorta thing useful, but.. currently I'm stuck.

You can open 2DA files in a text editor instead of the TLK editor. You can copy and paste lines manually. That's what I do.  You'll need to move the entries anyway and reassign the appearance in the blueprints, because those helpers are placed in official expansion ranges.

Thanks. In retrospect I may have broken the models -- going back to the drawing board on this one, but I'll try the text-editor first..

Status update: LOOKS like the system doesn't like the walkmesh helpers to be anything other than a plane. Any other setup trashes the neighboring walkmesh completely. One of those "oh well" moments.
