If we should open our inventory menu whilst inside the castle the cat should appear and lay themselves across the screen, rendering the menu completely unreadable. Realism, yo.

I would love to have my own cat prowling the castle! Quite surprised we haven't had one already considering how many catpics the BioWare-people I follow on twitter post all the time =)

It could leave dead mice for the Inquisitor as gifts just like my neighbors cat does. If you're really lucky you find it on the veranda in daylight, the less ideal version is something goes "squelch"under your for when you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

I'm all for kitties!!

but yeah, i love cats, too (i would rather have a cat then a dog in RL - but i do not need the animal to fight with me, so that is easy - if i would, i would like a dog, because cats are harder to train)

on the other hand, in DA:I i would prefer a drakeling or something similar

I wouldn't mind a little (or big/terrifying/evil/adorable/collared thing) pet around the castle that we could choose to have. As a cat person, I wouldn't mind if it were a cat, but for people who don't like them, I would think that it would be a good compromise to offer a choice of different possible pets if someone wants them.

Something like cats should just be ambient animals darting throughout the castle.

Disrespectful to have a cat under "command" and waiting for you to interact with it. So un-catlike.

That's what Mabari are for.

Honestly - I'm gonna need a lot of animals on my castle grounds. I expect to be pissing off a lot of folks and I'm gonna have to hold out during sieges.

So I'll gather up some pigs - chickens - cows - etc. as well.
