What did you do? and for what reason?
What do you think the outcome will be in ME2?

For my first paragon run through I saved the council, and it seemed like the right thing to do.

But now its looks like the council careless less for human interests than other.

I always kill them. Just because i don't like their attitudes. I can understand why they are so careful but still... It annoys me. I guess i'm a renegade by heart. :P

Jacob says the outcome = nothing changes. Politics reign supreme.

I save the Council for a lot of reasons, though saving the lives of those 3 individuals is not the primary reason.

i always enjoy killing the council. i even make anderson the emperor of the galaxy and make him evil with the bottom left renegade dialogue option. it is very gratifying. i never choose udina. i have save files with saving the council too though. i feel like it is the biggest choice of ME1 so it should have the biggest impact in ME2. and it will probably remain significant into ME3.

I saved the council because while they were a pain they had a reason to be stupid, and that is having the life of every inhabitant of citadel space in their hands so I could understand their skepticism , on the contrary, Udina was a b*tch who risked the fate of all organic life just for getting his ass promoted, i'm not leaving the power of the whole galaxy in that bastard's hand, specially since I don't even think he's competent at all, and Anderson goin "evil" is totally unnatural, also I'm not a supporter of human supremacy at all.

I went for the neutral option; i.e Concentrate on Sovereign rather than saving the council. It just seemed to make the most sense to me.

I chose to save the Council after initially choosing not to save the Council (I played through Saren's death from a save just before it twice).  That gives me both saves to use in Mass Effect 2.  However, if I had to do it, I'd save the Council.

Why?

1. Because it's not just the Council:  I couldn't give a rat's arse about those three idiots.  However, the crew of the Destiny's Ascension is also in danger.  I don't want them to die and leaving them to is something that just sucks, personally.

2. Because we need stability now: As much as I hate the Council, destroying them will only force the galaxy into a state of Chaos and we need unity in order to stand against the threat of the Reapers.

3. Because Udina will come to power since I'm a Renegade: A Pan-Human Empire is not what my Renegade fought for.

I did all the options at the end of ME 1, save the council, new council with human/aliens or just human council.   But for my 1st playthrough I use saved the council.

I always save them. Its like seeing the sniper of a president and just walking away, if you let them die. Plus, they had good reasons to be careful, they were looking out for all of the galaxy.

I did NOT save the councel in my first play through, though I likley will in my second

My reasoning however came down to this. Can I REALLY afford to let the human fleet fight to save them, THEN to destroy the Reaper?

In my eyes, I thought it wuld weaken the human fleet far to much...It came down to a less 'Do I like them enough' and a more 'Heat of the moment, We cant afford the losses it would take'

If there was an option to catch them alone and gun them down, I might take it.

Saved the Council.

I want to see the turian councilor beg on his knees about how awesome Shepard is.

I saved them. It doesn't make sense to me for the entire human fleet to just fly-by the huge space battle between the other races and the geth. Joker said he could jump in and save the Ascension, and I took his word for it.

I hope I get to take a shot at him in the next game.

He just negates whatever choice Shepherd makes. Thank god for Asari Centrality

There about as useful as the United Nations

I didn't save them, not for any political reasons, but because we were in a desperate situation, and we couldn't afford to lose any ships trying to save the council.

I saved them, not for their lives, but as a gesture of sharing the power to all the species in the galaxy. Only a fool thinks Shepard and the humans are taking down the Reapers alone.

I saved the council, because it didn't make sense not to.

The fight is won anyway, the more survivors there are the better. I'd be willing to wager that there were more crew on the Destiny's Ascension than on those human ships that were destroyed.

Also, it makes no sense to leave the geth fleet able to raep the human fleet from behind. Furthermore, the next council would have been human-led and I didn't want that. I'm not pro-human in the least. Not to mention that DA is the best ship in the Citadel fleet and a great asset in artillery fights.

The counciil deserved to die. They never listened, did nothing to prevent the attack, and it their fault it came to the poitnt it did. They don't deserve to live, much less stay on the council.

Sacrificed the council for the greater good. Why risk the entire galaxy for three idiots that can easily be replaced?
