I'm sympathetic with you on all points, including adepts.
If you also like the Justicar, she is a tough class and can handle gold solo, and can carry heavier weapons (I'd suggest full damage reduction in Reeve + lots of barriers; I also prefer the offensive bubble and its universal, multiplicative debuff). The Lancer and Collector SMG are well used by her. Vs. Reapers. (Or, acolyte vs. geth; or acolyte vs. cerberus, using pull). Talon + piercing mod is good on any biotic.
The Valkyrie: another good alternative to the Fury, who can get double-debuffs (from Annihilation Field plus Warp), if you opt-out of AF's "speed".
Reactor is a good map for Valk/Fury, too, because of AF's advantages in its many close-quarters areas; and it is big enough that 1-2-3-4 objectives are not slaughter-fests for hungry Banshees and Phantoms.

they are useful tips in any case. For example: prioritize targets that go down somewhat quickly but take up a lot of the "spawn budget", such as Brutes, Dragoons, Phantoms, or everything sans Troopers in geth.
