TIP: Summer cards will be worth ALOT more after the summer sale is over.

How do you figure?

I had no idea what those cards were until yesterday but it's basic economics
During the sales, everybody buys stuff, giving them cards, flooding the market causing the prizes to drop.
When the sales are over the supply of cards decreases so the prize will go up.

This and the fact the summer cards won't show up again until next summer so the worth increases until next summer.

Hating the cards.  Ya it's fun to trade for things but when people are buying games, not because it's a good game, but because they get cards they can resell and use like some sotck market venture...... well you kind of lose site of why we play games.

I spent $87.38 since the Summer sale started. That got me:

- RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Platinum Edition
- Total War Shogun 2: Fall of the Samurai
- Dishonored
- Dear Esther
- The Walking Dead: 400 Days
- Batman Arkham City GOTY
- Defcon
- Sleeping Dogs
- Euro Truck Simulator 2
- Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
- Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
- Prison Architect

And that's not including the numerous games still in my backlog from before the sale.

Edit: And now I'm tempted to get Kerbal Space Program just for kicks.

Interested to see what you think of Dishonored.

Euro Truck Simulator, lol

FEZ/soundtrack
Deadlight/soundtrack
Polynomial (not many music games out there)
Mark of the Ninja (not sure about a stealth game but apparently it's the best thing ever).

Almost got Sonic Allstar Racing Transformed because I haven't played a racing game in sooo long and it looked neat, but nah. Grid 2 looks rather mind-blowingly realistic btw, compared to old 'realistic' racing games, but I'm not really interested in that.

Bought latest expansion for Civ V and Dishonored. Can't believe I survived with only two games;o

However, just before Steam's own summer sales kicked in, Green Man Gaming was selling pile o Steam games for pretty impressive discounts. Bought a package consisting of Biochock Infinite, Borderlands 2, X-com and some EA sportsgame for 40 Euros. So far only played X-com and that alone felt well worth 40 e.

Hey now, don't be hating on Euro Truck Sim 2! Its actually a really good game. The actual driving part is pretty relaxing and nice to look at and its got a surprisingly deep business sim aspect tied in. Watch the Giant Bomb Quick Look  and you will be sold on it!

I just installed and played maybe the first 15 minutes of DIshonored. I'm liking it so far. Loving the art style and stealth.

True. I mean... scratch it. I bought... well...FTL.
A nice little gem, that's for sure. Nowadays few games have this "just one more turn" aspect that prevents you from getting sleep.
