In comparison to what? QMI can carpet bomp out of Cloak thus stunning everything and shoot at the same time with 80% damage, plus he has the same Tac Scan and better survivability, cos of Cloak.

Actually, you're right. It's effectiveness is entirely circumstantial. It's best against geth, and it's usefulness against Cerberus is limited and mainly based on luck.

I suppose it really doesn't live up to its billing, as it were.


It was godlike in SP, but so nerfed in MP that I've avoided it like the plague.

I would actually say that grenades in general should be nerfed, except maybe Homing and Frag.

I'm also not sure that the QMI is the best argument as to things not being OP =P

Or, or:

Nerve-Stim Packs. Increases movement speed and shield regeneration, decreases accuracy (offsets Marksman).

I will agree with that. I just think that having arc grenades on all the QMs would be too much. Homing grenades would be nice, frags would be decent as well since you can pick the shield evo to make them pseudo arc grenades as well as having some sort of CC capability which is lacking(aside from just shooting everything in said crowd with your weapon).

The Geth has race bonuses (remember they're multiplicative), a debuff, extra additive damage bonuses, and an RoF bonus (also multiplicative). The TGI gets that ridiculous rank six 10 second AR damage bonus (which is multiplicative I think?), and the AIU gets that shotgun specific bonus, plus both of those kits have ridiculous survivability.

In other words, most of what makes the OP infiltrators OP is not solely in Tac Cloak, but their overall design or [edit] specialized TC tweaks that probably shouldn't have been made. I haven't even looked at the numbers, but I guarantee you the QMS right now already beats the MQI in terms of weapon damage.

I think that sabotage should have been replaced with a quarian hunter mode which would definitely make the QM top tier.

QMI can stun lock entire groups of enemies and strip their shields, so he doesn't have to deal with them. He can detonate incendiary, cryo and disruptor ammo for everybody and he can shoot in cloak while throwing arcs. QMS has NOTHING on him.

Nerve-stims seem more fitting for biotics, would be interesting though.

lol I suggested this on the last page kind of as a joke....

A QMS with Stim Packs would be able to break the 5000 DPS plateau with the right loadout - and that's not even counting headshot multipliers or ammo power damage. Would be crazy OP.

He has no CC and no Cloak. Would still be just an alternative TSol that is slightly trickier (and more fun) to use.

Edit: Also, I mean post-nerf Stim Packs, with possible further Shield bonus reduction (proportional to his base Shields).

I personally find Sabotage very effective, no matter what enemy. The backfire-damage is considerable and the Tech-Bursts are really strong. I agree though that it's a bit weird on the Marksman, not as useful as on the QFI or the Saboteur.
It is actually a quite useful power on Platinum in my opionion just because it's way less circumstanstial. Same goes for all the pets.


See, I do enjoy Sabotage on the Saboteur and QFI. It's just taking up space on the Marksman, though.


Three points is enough for him. Gives some aid against turrets and the odd geth.

Homing Grenade is worse than no Grenade.
