If Quarian Marksman had Arc grenades instead of Sabotage?

I regret not giving these things a chance til late in the game. I thought they were terrible when the game 1st came out. Then I watched others use them effectively. On the Human INf - cryo explosions like a mutta futta

Sticky Grenades are useful only VS bosses, and he has Tac Scan for that. He needs mook CC, he needs an ability to keep enemies at bay and stop them from firing at him, cos his shields suck.

But he already has. It's called dodge

Dodge is not CC or slowing them down. And dodging means he can't keep shooting.

It was a cool idea, but Bioware failed in deploying him properly, It's always been said that marksman needed a "use single power while in marksman" evo like AR has. Even with arc grenades, I doubt he would be OP. I could use the 11 points from fitness for speccing into arc grenades.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Fun is a relic of a bygone age. There is no fun now, only work and consumption. Then the sweet release of death.
I may or may not be serious, depending on how well my medication is working this week.

Dodge into soft cover -> keep murdering stuff. You don't need CC if you can kill fast enough.
I'm not saying he wouldn't benefit from a good CC ability, just that a good player doesn't really need it. I'm sure if he had one, I would end up like with my Tsoldier - speeced into CC powers, and pretty much never uses them.

That's like saying that Drell Vanguard or Adept doesn't need Cluster grenades, because Reave or Charge is enough. Sometimes your "good player doesn't need anything" theorie sounds like such BS.

I think this guy needed a new power, instead of simply recirculating already existing ones. I'd vote for something like Flashbang Grenades, more for area stun, enemy power disruptions weapon overheat, etc. than damage (would've loved to toss a few of those at the irritating Geth, Scions, Dragoons, etc., for example),. Sabotage does that to an extent, but it is really a poor man's CC power (mainly vs. synthetics). Well, maybe it could be if it had a special ability to dominate organic foes as well, it probably wouldn't be so bad on this Quarian.Air Quotes wrote...
Would he really be OP?
I mean the dude lacks any kind of CC, you can't use any power under Marksman and Sabotage CD is too long. Tactical Scan is a nice debuff, but it's single target only, doesn't do any damage on it's own and it's pointless to scan mooks with it.
Tsol get's 2 powers to CC with and a debuff + added stability and higher shields. Quarian does get a hop, but the lack of CC makes him really vulnerable
I would not go purely for DPS, debuff, etc.. The game already has too much of that in my opinion, more to the exclusion of tactics, and so on.

Well QMS was realeased as a part of "reused power kits". They weren't making any new powers. So given the choice of what to reuse - they had to give him arc nades. That way his fitness would be fine and there would've been no need to buff his weapons passives.

I too think the QME might be more OP than the QMI.d_nought wrote...
I could make a top 3/5 of a lot of things. But I would say:
Batarian Soldier
Krogan Soldier
Male Quarian Engineer
for pure and utter spam obscenity furthered by the use of glitches (i.e. Incendiary Reegar). QMI is a bit closer in terms of non glitched classes.

Yeah, there is that. Perhaps a singe Sabotage cast from Marksman (like in AR) might not be so bad, but then unlike in the case of the HS, you'd be gimping out on DPS with the Marksman (assuming it would be from the rank 6 of Marksman's power evolutions).Air Quotes wrote...

This guy definitely seems more vulnerable than the T. Sol though. Perhaps that is his appeal to some people.

I don't think I use that argument very much, do I? Show me where if I do, I don't remember it.
And no, your comparison is not right. Cluster grenades on those kits are by far your biggest damage output, while a CC power on the Quarian wouldn't be.
A much better comparison would be saying that the Tsoldier doesn't need CS because marksman is already enough. Which, honestly, is not that far from the truth.

There isnt a kit with both tho so we don't know that!?
