Ways to kill people beyond in-game combat and the "murder knife"?

I'm a violent man- that's why I play videogames. And like everyone out here, I play Bioware games to live out my sick fantasies vicariously- though rather than plowing tentacle-headed space women and broody tattooed elves, I fantasize about finding unique, entertaining ways to kill people. And really, aside from stabbin', shootin' and magickin' people, there's not that much in the existing games for people like me.

So let's have us murder (or "perform justifiable homicide") our enemies in new ways. A good old fashioned strangling? Hold their head under water until the bubbles stop coming? Can I toss an elf in a sack and smack him against the wall until it starts leaking? Hell, can we drive someone to suicide? Everyone liked killing Loghain but wouldn't it have been even better to depose him and then constantly harass him for his failures by until he puts a noose around his neck?

I'm sorry, stabbing someone in the face with a sword is morally superior to strangling them somehow? Two feet of steel between you and your victim is just so impersonal.

I don't know if I want to subscribe to your news letter or report you to the Internet Police.

You know full well what you are doing.

And I would figure seeing someone get mauled to death via dogs would be good enough for you.

This is a legitimate request thread. I'm just using some levity to help people through the necessarily morbid subject matter.

@misanthropePrime: So - things like poisoning? Or an "accident"? Or... a plague covered blanket?

Are there any incidents of the player performing a fatal poisoning in the setting? I know you can drug some guards in the Crime Wave quest in Origins but I think they just get sick.

The Inquisitor should have the option to have built up a tolerance to deadly Iocane.

OH - what if you could drop something from the top of a building onto an enemy.

OR... smother them with a pillow?

Covering them with honey and putting a crate of deepstalkers under their bed?

Okay, so you're playing the Inquisitor. I'm guessing you could name your character Torquemada if you wanted and do all sorts of horrible things in the name of the Chantry and Templars and stuff like that all in the name of "Good." No one expects the Spanish Inquisition.

Some of the stuff I did in Skyrim....

My actual last name is Ximenez so I'd just go with that. :D

In Spirit School there is Walking Bomb, planting a "bomb" inside a body of a person, it may infect other persons as well, then when times up they all exploded and we bathing their blood. If it is not gruesome and sadistic, i don't know what it is.

Funnily, it is a magic that the Chantry approved in the Circle

With no weapons. Only with hands. And allow us to kill civilians too.

I lol'd to the op.

We could have something like force crush or force choke.

Like the Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion? One of the assassination quests has you sneak behind a wall to loosen the strings holding up a wall-mounted moose head, which then drops onto an NPC sitting in the chair directly below it, killing them in the process.

I wouldn't want to turn Dragon Age into Manhunt: Thedas.

That said, I would have liked to make Bann Vaughan's death a lot slower. Or to have choked the life from Quentin. And I'm sure that most HN Wardens would agree that Howe died too quickly.

Hey, if Bioware has the time, money, and inclination to add horrific slaughters for the player to deal out, I'm all for it.

If not, then I won't miss it. Simple as that.

Crushing Prison, Blood Magic, Virulent Walking Bomb, Waking Nightmare... mages already have some pretty gruesome ways to kill.

That said, if Bioware chooses to develop a stealth feature like the one in Mark of the Assassin, I would be all in favor of stealth kills like poison or choking.

I recommend the comfy chair as a replacement for the murder knife. Think of all the things we could do with that.

How about sending a pack of mabaris into enemy camps to kill people? Magical mabari that shoot bees out of their mouths when they bark.

You have a pretty strange idea of levity, but that aside, I'd rather leave the "lol murder" mechanic to games like GTA. I'm not even really a fan of the murder knife. It's pointless. The last game I played that made such a feature not pointless was Mask of the Betrayer, so unless they plan on doing something like that here, no.
