Dishonored had a number of creative ways to kill people and to do things to them that were worse than death. It's actually one of the better games to express the difference between 'good' and 'greater good.'

Wow people take stuff waaaaay too seriously around here. Chill people. And if I'm a blood mage I want the option of giving people aneurysms like the witches in VD.

Frankly the fact that we can't kill anyone we meet is blatant railroading. Playing an Andrastian who, say, doesn't suffer apostates and would kill Morrigan and Anders when first meeting them would have saved us so much trouble.

Mages should be able to do the spell Hawke does to the Arishok in the trailer. Definitely.

The great and powerful Murder Knife shall hear of this heresy.

All hail the Murder Knife!

Yes, but badly animated.

It was an "accident".

I despise your teenage rage approach to Rorschach from Watchmen just as much as I despise your absolutely illogical request, OP.

That being said, most of the things you mentioned are already doable in the latest Hitman videogame. So I guess you're just in the wrong forum.

I think the idea of a game like DA is that you have a set of skills which you can expand to slay your opponents. To increase the number of ways you can finish off a foe the game has to increase the number of skills. More is always better, but there is a limit BW can do. Perhaps when there are more non-violent ways to finish quests that the difference between violent and non-violent actions become more significant. Maybe some stealth would help. But I don't think that's the kind of game BW wants to create.

this , and also if they do intend  to do bloody murder i rather keep it for the enemies  like deamons and such or  evil blood mages but i dont want to kill civilians or innocent ppl in general for no reason just cause  there is no point in that

I'd like to have destructible environments to kill people by interacting with them a la adventure game from 1990, by clicking on them outside combat

That is the finishing animation for Crushing Prison spell. Its actually in the game files although it did not make it into the actual game....there is a mod out there on dragonage2.nexusmods.com that restores it and uses that animation every time you use Crushing Prison.

sooo.....don't. No one is saying that if the OPs request came to any fruition that it would become necessary or required.

I believe what he is saying is why waste precious development time. I would rather they focus on making choices matter, character development, story, and immersive gameplay than figuring out ways to let people mindlessly and horrifically kill everyone they see "just 'cause."

Just put me in the same boat as others who'd kindly point the OP in the direction of open world games, like Bethesda ones or GTA, where their psychopathic tendencies can be enacted to their, er, heart's content.

Me, I'm actually pining for the cRPG where stealing and pick-pocketing isn't just a given as part of game play, so... yeah, wanton and largely pointless murder isn't on my list of "wants."

...it's "plough," not "plow."

At least according to The Witcher 2, I don't use the word in that context at all...

As for the topic, I have a feeling you're joking, but if you're not, try to control yourself, that's the only thing keeping you from being a beast.

I'm a violent man- that's why I play videogames. And like everyone out here, I play Bioware games to live out my sick fantasies vicariously- though rather than plowing tentacle-headed space women and broody tattooed elves, I fantasize about finding unique, entertaining ways to kill people. And really, aside from stabbin', shootin' and magickin' people, there's not that much in the existing games for people like me.

So let's have us murder (or "perform justifiable homicide") our enemies in new ways. A good old fashioned strangling? Hold their head under water until the bubbles stop coming? Can I toss an elf in a sack and smack him against the wall until it starts leaking? Hell, can we drive someone to suicide? Everyone liked killing Loghain but wouldn't it have been even better to depose him and then constantly harass him for his failures by until he puts a noose around his neck?

Going by this video you should probably rethink that statement op.

I like the way you think good sir and I full-heartily agree with what you say. We need more methods to murder people. Ignore the feminists, male sissies and fan-plebs who play Bioware games only for the romances. If sexy awesome people like us want to live out our murderous fantasies in Bioware games then those people are certainly in no position to judge, what when they're playing Bioware games to live out their fetish fantasies.

Yeah because Dragon Age: Origins (the game with more development time and considered by most - superior to Dragon Age 2) didn't feature such options.

It seems people here take things way too seriously. This is an 18+ game we're talking about which will likely contain demonic possessions, lots of blood and sexual innuendo like the past two games.

Obviously me and the OP are simply writing as though we enjoy murder just for the laugh (because people on BSN believe everything and anything). However DA2 was seriously lacking in evil options whereas Origins allowed us to kill many "innocents" (and not just for the lolz) so what we could have in the end was a murderous ruthless Warden. I want to see more appearances with the murder knife this time around Bioware. It allows for more role-playing when we can actually be evil which is why Baldur's Gate, Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins are considered better than DA2 which pretty much forced us into the role of a pre-determined hero who only ever got a few chances to be ruthless.

I mean we're the Inquisitor. Shouldn't we be torturing people for information, beating them and poking them with soft cushions?

Meanwhile does no one here remember the Renegade options from Mass Effect 2&3? That's practically all I and the OP is asking for. Something Bioware has done before but added now to Dragon Age. They have another YEAR and a HALF for development so I'm sure they can add in a few options so we can actually be a ruthless Inquistor who isn't afraid of crushing a few blood mages.

i dont think  specifically that murder knifing random ppl for no reason is what made DAO a good game to me it was the story and  how it was in general , but ya if its only an option thing like in DAO  then i guess, sure, why not i dont really care  because personally im not gonna use it , idk for me if i have to kill someone or some thing i wanna have a good reason to do it  and  not just  kill random ppl for the sake of killing to me its not fun that way that would just  be pitty kill
