Debateable, Lando and Nien Nunb could also be credited with that kill, I'd count it as a shared kill myself, like they did in WW2 when two pilots both shot the same jerry down.Druss99 wrote...
Many people seem to also miss that Wedge Antilles blew up the second Death Star. He rarely gets any credit as one of the heroes of the saga.
Although Wedge does have a death star added to the kill count painted on the side of his X-wing afterwards, so I guess rebel command didn't see it that way.

That's bad news, Lucas couldn't write decent dialogue or scenarios if his life depended on it these days.
Hopefully he's only involved to prevent JJ from taking too many liberties with established lore.

And stop blaming Jar Jar for the Clone Wars. The only character Palpatine never played like a fiddle was Luke, and even that was a close call.

The original trilogy had a few cheesy lines. We just didn't realize it because we were kids...

Could be an interesting character though, & that place on Tatooine was awfully big for one crazy wizard afterall. I really liked that girl who played Robert Hawkin's daughter on Jericho, maybe the role would be good for her.

Yeah. When you have the prequels setting up Anakin's fall being tied to forbidden relationships & fatherhood, going off & having Obi-wan be a father kindof undermines Anakin's journey & the Jedi Order as set up by the prequels. Perhaps they've decided to disregard some parts of the prequel trilogy like Jedi ideas about relationships.

Maybe she should have been Mace Windu's daughter or granddaughter. That would have made sense.Obi-wan doesn't need a child.
I do believe that the movie should focus on new characters and let the old ones be advisers.Making the old characters the focus of the movie I believe hurts it.But we'll see.<_<

It was revealed that Obi-Wan had a relationship with Satine in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, so it wouldn't be much of a stretch for him to have another one. Also, it wouldn't undermine Anakin's storyline in the prequels as the Jedi didn't forbid love or sex, but attachment. Attachment is the thing that the Jedi they forbid against.

Also, on merchandising, it'll be such a shame to see star wars be turned into a total tool of marketing and cheap toy pushing for disney, as opposed to the total tool of marketing and cheap toy pushing that all went to george lucas's coffee and monitor budget.
